I saw the video. Personally, it looks...okay.

 

Reminds me a lot of Superman at Movie World, turns, hills, trains, tunnel, supports. This isn't a coaster I'd make a special trip to CP just to ride. Also, where did the rumors of an aqua trax even come from?

If only the Superman coaster at Movie world was like this, superman lasts for only 50 seconds or so...by the time the fun kicks in the rides over..

Is it just me, or did Intamin forget how to build a coaster without a launch? They tried, but then they threw one into the middle. They just couldn't get away from it.

The video is gone ,but the coaster looks great. I wasn't expecting that Barrel Roll especially going through it like 60 mph. Themeing looks pretty good, no disney theming. This could be the best ride in the park and world.

Sorry for being unclear. I was talking about being rated best roller coaster in the world.

 

The only thing I'm scared of on the ride is going through that barrel roll around 60 mph.

Well, I did hear that Amusement Today called an emergency session to have a re-vote on the Golden Tickets to include Maverick. Word has it that it will be named the Golden Ticket's number one steel coaster by Friday.

^^^ Yea Im also scared of being launched in pitch black darkness (assuming it will be that way in the tunnel), that will be an interesting experience.

 

Wouldnt it be funny if it wasnt called maverick...we all are so used to calling it that, it better be.

Did anyone else notcie that they time the launch so that it duels? The trains meet (in the video atleast) at the drop, on the wierdo dive thing (stengal dive?) and on the last air hill. Looks sweet.

That is likely a product of the animator. In reality, it would take some killer operations to get it to work that way.

Yeah, I saw that too, but that will take some good operations to actually do. I don't think it will happen.

^^^I figured that much was so, thats why I put "In the video atleast". It would be cool if they held the launch though so that it did duel. Though highly unlikely, I think it would be cool.
