Homer Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Trends, some people love them, some hate em, and all of us go "WTF!" 20 years later. So, what trends seem dominant at your school? Ripped Jeans and Patched jeans have been popular. Brand names- Mostly American Eagle, Hollister (majority), Hurley, and some A&F. I think thats it for now, nothing unusual though.
Rollerholden Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Bleh..mainstream.. I don't give into that kind of stuff lol. I do what *I* want to do. Some of the clothes the 'popular' kids are wearing looks pretty weird IMHO...I'm sure most people say the same about me though!
ParkTrips Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 lol I remember when stealing clothes was trendy at my school... sorry I just couldn't buy into that one
St.LouisBOI Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Those Birkenstock shoes were very popular at my school last year...how? I don't even know because I always thought they were hideous. Here's a link to a picture... http://www.granolashoes.com/images/s-birkenstock-kids.jpg
benzo41190 Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I remember last year there was a BIG duct tape trend. -backpacks -binders -pants -shirts -lockers.. It was everywhere!

Angry_Gumball Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Here, (well at my bro's school) it's all about tight emo jeans, converse, Vans classic slip-ons, and one of the most unusual trends of all: (and those are this way, please don't take offense.) Last year, tons of kids were becoming gay/lesbian...I've seen kids go from liking opposite sex one day to liking the same sex the next day. These are kids...too young to understand what being gay/lesbian is...they just think it's something new and different.
kennywood!007 Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Well at my last school (New school this year, didn't start yet) I remember Etnies shoes suddenly becoming huge. But I hate Etnies, so I didn't go with trend

IwantRevenge Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 wiggers That and slutty preppy girls who think there so pretty and show it off to everyone (while they are really extrememly ugly) and thing the world revolves around them.
apollo210 Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Well not recently but in the third grade, everyone was playing with blayblades in the halls at anytime, even during a mCAS test, lol.
FeelTheFORCE Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I remember when pokemon was a fad...then it ended up being banned from just about every school.
AndrewCT Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Back in High School, we really didn't have any trends. There was the cut class, go to dunkin donuts, and get a tan on the beach trend... but I don't think that really counts. We were pretty boring.
Angry_Gumball Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I so remember the Pokemon rage...They actually let us play them at school until everyone started to get their cards ripped off or making quick trades in class. I do remember a Yo-yo rage that I kinda started back in the 6th grade. Just one day, I brought my yo-yo to school and showed my friend who just bought one how to do some tricks and next thing I know, everyone starts bringing them. A month later, the teacher got a huge pack of the Duncan yo-yos for the class and put on a 'how to yo-yo' video...we later went outside to practice the tricks.
obeygiant Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Ripped jeans and converse or sandals are a trend in my school...eventhough it's a stupid trend, I still wear ripped jeans and sandals.
Spookbaby Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 The chciks at my college are obsessed with earing those obscenely short-short-short-not-even-really-there-could-have-made-them-just-by-cutting-the-legs-and-crotch-off-my-jeans Abercrombie/ Hollister jeans skirts. Hahaha... I say that like I don't have one of those skirts! But in my defense I only have it because I used to work there!
