ebl
^ Yes, you get the same coupon book whether you get the regular season pass or the Xtreme Play Pass. Eric

ebl
You can buy the pass online (I believe), but you'll have to get it processed at the park. Eric

Eric because right now they have the annual pass for the same price as 1 day entry so I want to buy it now because if I turn up on the day It might cost more.... So I guess I just bring my receipt and they will sort it all out when i get there and give me my coupons and my pass does anyone what an annual pass normally costs ? or is $59.99 the usual price ? if it's not on special, I'll just wait until I get there to buy it... but if it's on sale I'll grab it now.... billyb67
yeah well I m looking at the 2nd week of June since the first week of June they are only open to 6pm but in the 2nd week they are open until 10pm ! any reason for that ? is taht when school holidays start or something ? If so I might still go in the 1st week minus thousands of schoolkids...
billyb67
I just cannot wait till I get to SFMM - first time ever X2 is gonna blow my head off !
TheRealTinkerbell
^ Yeah, some schools finish up the second and third weeks of June, hence as to why the park will stay open longer. Also, summer camps usually start June 20th or around that time. Even though the park will only stay open till 6 until the second week of June, you'd still get some time to ride most, if not all, of the coasters. billyb67
thanks therealtinkerbell so could anyone recommend which week to go ? 1st week of June close at 6pm but not many kids 2nd week of June close at 10pm but loads of kids probably would work out about the same I guess ? downunder
X2 is gonna blow my head off ! No it will burn your head off, with one those new flame throwers they installed. I'd love to ride X2, I loved X in the first place so a new and improved version is even better. I'm waiting to see if Terminator will be the salvation of wood coasters in California. Qbots should help improve the park experience, I'd use it all day on X. Do they still have the single rider line at Deja Vu, that was excellent because the regular line could be huge. Maybe that will be the qbot line when it comes in.
ebl
^ To my knowledge, the single rider line is still at Deja Vu. But it's been closed for awhile, so I haven't had a chance to ride it. I'd like to see single rider lines on other coasters as well. Eric

travanx
Magic Mountain is the best rollercoaster park. Disneyland is nice because its themed and even though the rides are super cheesey they turn out to be a lot of fun. I even had fun on Dumbo last time I was there. So it kind of depends on what you like. My GF and I can ride X2 all day long, but can still have a ton of fun on rides like Dumbo which just spins in a circle and you go up and down. Almost everyone I have ever met doesn't really like to stay at Magic Mountain because they aren't into rollercoasters. Oh I hope I get to go Sunday. I really want to go at least once a month there to get use of my parking pass.
TheRealTinkerbell
next thing I'm going to be told is going to be my lifelong idol Bernie Mac has died also. WHAT?! Damnit! Well, if only SFMM was opening a new ride this year, then I could forget all about this tragedy! BillyB67, I seriously would recommend just going the first week of June. Yes, the park does close at 6, but if you get there when it opens, and just head over to X2 and Tatsu first, you'll practically have all day to wait in lines that shouldn't be too long. Plus, do you really want to stand in lines, in the heat, with a bunch of fresh-out-of-school teenagers without surpervision running around? Go the first week buddy! Manic Monte
As far as the 2010 coaster for SFMM goes, I suspect we'll see a Tony Hawk spinning clone. I just don't see SF paying for R&D for some large coaster in this economy, and with the amount of debt the company is dealing with. A Tony Hawk ride also fits under the "family friendly" category Shapiro is so fond of. I wouldn't get your hopes up for much more than that. Hercules
^ Sure, Shaps has been fond of the family friendly aspect, but is he still holding onto it?
Speeddeamon128
I wish GADV got a Tony Hawk clone instead of crappy Dark Knight.
DonkeyBreath
What I've heard for SFMM 2010 is the park maybe close to woking with the company they're never suppose to be working with EVER! The teaser I got is, it's launched, it's fast, it's compact, it will not be an est coaster and to imagine something along the lines of launched megalite. a couple other cats I know said they heard it's a launched coaster too but didn't have details. So imo I think next year SFMM is getting the only type of coaster they lack in and thats a full circut launched coaster. I'm sure what ever kind of coaster SFMM is getting for 2010 it's already a done deal they usually plan these things a few years in advance. Also this could be another movie tie in deal with the 2010 WB release of The Flash.
ebl
^ Could that mean we're getting Flashback back? It would be nice if the park got a shiny new coaster from The Company That They Were Never Supposed to Work With Ever Again. We'll see.
