socalMAN123
I'm pretty sure SFMM doesn't have some stupid rain policy like all the Cedar Fair parks and actually runs all of their rides in rain. They only close them if there is lightning spotted and/or high winds. At least, as far as I know. ---Brent
AllenA07
However, the park may be closed if the showers are hard and steady enough. Click here and go to the very bottom on the left. That's where the park hours are, and if they're closed, it should say. Or call Guest Relations at the number on the site before going to the park. Eric  You know it is so rare the park actually closes for rain that I really wouldn't worry abut that, the bigger concern would be everything being closed. I recall from when I worked at the park that it cost so much just to open the park that it was a big loss for them to lose an operating day. I remember one day over fright fest where it absolutely poured all day, and the park got operating, I was running a sound system at the time and had to build a makeshift shelter from a tarp and trees. robbalvey
^ It was still closed on Saturday. At least that's what the sign in GR said, I didn't actually walk by it. Â --Robb
rba13
When do they usually re-open Roarin' Rapids? I'm guessing they are just closed for the winter and they aren't actually upgrading anything on the ride? Correct?

superdad1029
This is awesome that Mr. Six is back. I could not stand the commercials(at least up here in n. cal but I am sure they where basically the same with the loud guy. Cant wait to get a pic with him. Mechanic
I was never a huge fan of Mr. Six, but I found the commercials he was in to be at least entertaining, and not annoying like yelling Asian guy. My wife and kids, on the other hand, LOVE Mr. Six and were really stoked when I showed them the pictures of him in this thread. I'll be looking forward to the photo ops during WCB. Long live Mr. Six! Yelling Asian guy... Not so much.
CreditCrazy
The yelling asian guy was not only annoying, but not even much of a character. They'd do the lame "1 flag' then he comes blurting on saying "MORE FLAGS MORE FUN!". Then...uh...you're just like..."okay..." and then the amazing "5 dollar foot long!" comes on. Â There's really gotta be more news than "Mr. Six is back!". He's been back for a bit now..isn't there anything else interesting going on with SFMM besides Terminator and the 2010 coaster??? Â Since SFMM is just oh-so-excited, there should oh-quite-definately be daily news

haiderodes
^^I'll be there tomorrow as well. Â With the weather forecasted to be decent and park hours till 10p, I envision a rather busy day - granted nothing as severe as a holiday weekend/summer. Â Deja Vu, Roaring Rapids and Swashbuckler are down. Tidal Wave might still be down as well...guess we'll find out for sure tomorrow!

But it'll probably have a decent number of guests in it.  If you get there at opening hit X2 first, skip Tatsu and do the rest of the park. Tomorrow might be a good day to flashpass Tatsu. Other than Tatsu, all waits should be rather light.
