Superbatboy Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I'm a major proponent for the jammer as well, definitely miss it. Love Yolo though
Tmcdllr Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Hmm, I'm sensing trolling. And your senses were correct! Taken care of. Â Excellent, thank you Sir Robb!
JeromyL Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 If anything. MM needs some in park transportation for sure.
KBrylczyk Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 probably the third best flume ride in So. Cal. Â So behind Splash Mountain, Timber Mountain Log Ride, and what else? Oh, so last place?
singforfood Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 If anything. MM needs some in park transportation for sure. Â For REAL. Disneyland isn't as big and doesn't have the massive hill and it still has the monorail and the train (and formerly the People Mover). The Orient Express is nice, but there definitely needs to be more than that.

Cup half full or cup half empty. Just depends on your outlook on life. When in fact they're exactly the same.

KBrylczyk Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 If anything. MM needs some in park transportation for sure. Â LEAKED PHOTO OF THE NEW FLEET!
Generic Name Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) If anything. MM needs some in park transportation for sure. Â LEAKED PHOTO OF THE NEW FLEET! That's not a thing is it? Â Â ...and it turns out it is for something completely different granted. How oddly appropriate for California to have a county named Yolo though (even if the etymology is different). JeromyL Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 ^^^^ Notice the guy on the top left of the ride.... his hands are up.... YOLO!!!!!!!
Mechanic Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Parked out in the lot, ready to serve the typical SFMM guests. Yolo
Generic Name Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Parked out in the lot, ready to serve the typical SFMM guests. You need more dancing Snoops. Â I haven't been to the park, so forgive me for asking, but doesn't SFMM have a skyway of some sort? And if they do is it useful as a transport ride?
singemfrc Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 There used to be a monorail, but all that's left are a couple supports and the ruins of an old station. Currently all they have in the way of transportation is the Oriental Express, a two way funicular that shuttles you up and down the steep mountain. On really hot days it becomes my favorite ride in the park.

Makes me wonder why they took it out. Â At least they have a funicular.
WFChris Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Back in the day, there was also a SkyWay where Superman currently stands (station is still visible behind Superman gift kiosk and restroom area). Â And (besides the already discussed metro and Orient Express), there was another weird transport that went from Jetstream to Ninja's current station. If you think the station layout is weird, it's because it used to be home to a large circular platform that cycled cars up and down the hill. Unfortunately I'm not familiar at all with this ride, and if anybody has pictures, it would be great to see! The lower station for that ride is currently standing to the left of Jet Stream's entrance and Ninja's final lift hill. Â For a park SFMM's size, it is a little weird that it doesn't have a better park-wide transportation system. Personally, being the 'thrill capital of the world,' I would love to see a launch coaster type ride, circling the park and having 3 or 4 stations. Of course its a pipe dream, but in my head, it's a good pipe dream!
JeromyL Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Remember. Mm had two skyways. The station at the top of the mountain was a dual. With one heading down toward riddlers revenge.
WFChris Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 ^I do not remember that! I got to ride the SkyWay exactly ONCE in my lifetime, and at that time, for the life of me I only recall it going from Ninja to Superman's tower.
JeromyL Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 This is true. They closed one side down. Even when I first started going I. The late eighties. It was only one side. But I've seen old maps, and if you look at the google map you can still see the upper building with its two exits for both skyways
Superbatboy Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I agree MM needs more than just the Orient Express. I wouldn't complain if the park was flat like a Knott's or a CP, but on a hot day MM's terrain feels like the Himalayas
JeromyL Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Â here is an old map with both of the skyways on it
Someotherguyuser Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Remember. Mm had two skyways. The station at the top of the mountain was a dual. With one heading down toward riddlers revenge. Both of those would have been extremely helpful now. That park is such a pain to run around.
JeromyL Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 For me. I'm good all around except that steep section between ninja and goldrusher. Need something there.
