socalMAN123 Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Wow, great update Jahan! I'm really loving this, it's starting to become a way better park! IMO, the Justice League thing looks out of place with its metal sheeting and paint scheme. I just don't think that it fits into the whole atmosphere of that part of the park. But, I think it will defenitly attract people and is a great move by SF. The single rider lines are also another great move by SFMM, IMO. The SRL for Deja Vu works really well, and as Top Thrill Dragster stated, it sounds like the one for X really works! However, I think they should get a grouper for the SRL on Riddler, because of what Jahan said, it sounds like it is pretty bad. Once again, thanks for the update! Brent "I should get down to the park soon!" Shenton
trcg721 Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 They probably have a grouper during the week when there is more people then during the weekend.
RollerC Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Wow the park is looking great actually. I might change my mind about SF after this season.
spaceace12 Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 I got one of those refillable bottles at sf: stl, is it refillable at all parks? Â Nice tr btw.
Top Thrill Dragster Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 I just got back from a weekend at SFMM! I just want to give a little update to what to expect the rest of the year according to the Park manager. Â - Super Man to be painted in July or August (Same Colors) - New X trains are in manufacturing. - The Metro to reopen towards the end of the year. - More Paint - Flashback to be taken down after August. Â Also Viper and Ninja got fully refurbished trains and they are running great. Â Batman is now offering Flash pass. Â All of Goliaths lift lights are now white, giving the ride a gold color at night. Â Scream is running one train and the other two trains are no were to be found. Â Â And here is a complete list of the rides offering Single rider lines. Â -X -Deja Vu -Viper -Ninja -Riddlers Revenge
wrs28330 Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 [quote= Â Scream is running one train and the other two trains are no were to be found. Â Â There is a disassembled train backstage, recieving a buff and paint job for all seat pads, as well as general maintenece.
Top Thrill Dragster Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 ^^ Yes, but they are only using the ramp side for single riders.
Goliath513 Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 This park just keeps on improving. I can't wait to see the monorail re-open. Is there any word on when Flashback will be going down yet?
buttonman700 Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 I have never understood the pricing at most theme parks! I know the price and profit margin, and there is no need for this, none what so ever. Â It's not just Six Flags either, but most of your major theme parks.
haiderodes Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 I have never understood the pricing at most theme parks! I know the price and profit margin, and there is no need for this, none what so ever. It's not just Six Flags either, but most of your major theme parks.  You know I was thinking the same thing. BUT I notice that SFMM has gotten rediculous even compared to Disney. Regular Dasani water bottles there are "only" 2.50.
hemmy Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Even with high ticket prices if you ride a handful of roller coasters the park has already lost money on you. Â They need high drink/food/souvenir prices. (although it is stupidly high)
metrock Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 5. Metro commin back!!! its about time MM got some better transportation rides around the park. They really need them. (maybe ACE will make it an honoryary landmark just because it can haul themselves around!) Â Yeah, especially with a metro station being only a short drive (in an electric "fat person" scooter) from the all you can eat "Justice League Feast."

Yeah, especially with a metro station being only a short drive (in an electric "fat person" scooter) from the all you can eat "Justice League Feast."  In all fairness, I'm sure there would be plenty of lean and athletic people out there who would be more than happy to have Metro around to "haul" themselves around the park.  In speaking of those scooters...are the Metro stations as they are even ADA compliant. I remember just stairs, no ramps.
metrock Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 ^ Hmm...yeah I don't think that the ride is ADA compliant. I could be wrong though. Another question to ponder is if the stairs can handle the weight of an ACE'r treading up and down. Will the train have enough torque to get rolling? Six Flags better look into that issue.
kraxleRIDAH Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 This park just keeps on improving. I can't wait to see the monorail re-open. Is there any word on when Flashback will be going down yet? Â During the winter operating season later this year.
vedved82491 Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Alright, I got a few questions/statements. Â 1. I thought they were going to repaint Superman red blue and yellow/white not the colors it has now!?!?! Â 2. Now that Riddler has a single rider line, did they remove the flashpass line then, because single rider and flashpass are in the same line/place so it would be pointless..I'm guessing the flashpass was handed over to batman, even though Batman had some odd ride seating as well [i noticed that last summer...a few people every now and then came one from the exit, even tho the ride didn't offer flashpass. Â 3. I don't know if anyone has noticed, but on my last visit, On scream, I noticed on one of the trains, towards on of the middle rows, third seat entering the row, the OTSR had two seat belt buckles instead of one...making me wonder...anyone know more? Â Also keep in mind...flashback is only MAYBE staying. I've heard rumors from both sides, both being people that either work there or are close. I've heard it very well may come back, however, another story states too many of flashback's components have died and/or rusted away beyond repair giving it a one way pass straight to the junkyard...I guess we'll have to wait and see.
kraxleRIDAH Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 ^ Â 1. Superman is going to be repainted sometime during the winter operating schedule (most likely after Fright Fest 2007). Â 2. The Riddler's Revenge Flash Pass and Single Rider line are NOT the same line. The Flash Pass line is a former employee-access only staircase that leads straight up to the queue side of the station. The Single Rider line utilizes one half of the exit staircase that leads straight up to the exit side of the station. Â 3. The seat with the two-belts on Scream! is what is commonly referred to as a "big boy seat." This seat is specifically designed to accomodate guests of larger girth. The double-seat belts are used as a means to determine whether or not the guest of questionable size will be able to safely participate in the attraction.
Xtreme-me Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Yeah, that seat is just for larger people. If you sit in it and your small, you get MAJOR airtime. Its insane. Theres nothing wrong with it if that was what you where thinking
socalMAN123 Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Big boy seats rock. They put me in one on Hulk last summer and that zero-g-roll was heaven! Anywho, I also thought they were going to repaint S:TE in the Superman colors. What happend? Are they still going to? What does "regular colors" mean? ---Brent
kraxleRIDAH Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 If you had read the posts above, you would have had the answer to your question.
socalMAN123 Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 1. Superman is going to be repainted sometime during the winter operating schedule (most likely after Fright Fest 2007). Actually, it just says that it is going to be repainted, you didn't state in what colors. Eh, whatever, you got the point across to me. Sorry for your trouble! ---Brent
vedved82491 Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 gah i wish i had taken the "big boy" seat instead of my 100 pound cousin. lol that lucky betch. and it was her first day riding scream too.
