Does anyone know if bringing your phone to the TC filming is allowed? It says no photography, but also says to bring something to kill time between takes not sure what to do...?

 

i just assume they expect you to be professional and obey their wishes. i asked about my ipad and other stuff. ipad is okay, i just assumed my phone was okay, but will probably just sit in a bag i'm bringing with clothes, ipad and probably some pants or the legs to my convertible shorts. wed will probably be cold once the sun goes down. i asked about food, and she said that food will be available for dinner with snacks during the day along with soda and water.

she said they'll have snacks, so i'm not bringing any food. i asked about the phone so we know for sure. she knows i'm bringing my ipad. i'm bringing a jacket cause it's going to be cool later. i don't think i'm pretty enough for the front. LOL

Can someone please suggest a ride strategy for Wednesday May 20? I will be using the Discover Card entrance before the general crowd. Should I go to YOLOcoaster first? Then X2? Then Tatsu? Then what?

 

Since X2 likely will not be open right off the bat during the Discover Card entry, I would say to go to YOLO, then pass X2, if its open ride that, if not, make your way up to Tatsu. After that you should go to Superman/Ninja, then down to Apocalypse, then to RIddlers, then to Green Lantern, Then to Batman, Then to Lex. There ya go!

Things happen. It's each individuals responsibility to check their email. Photo shoots and media events at parks can be very unpredictable so you have to just go with the flow and just be thankful we were offered the opportunity in the first place.

It's weird cause there's only a 10% chance of rain tomorrow, with 80% on Thursday. Maybe they need two consecutive non-rainy days for filming? I'm hoping that I can actually make the reshoot... whenever that will be.

I work in PR and Marketing as well. Marketing Activation is a term I am familiar with.

I don't work in marketing and I've heard the term activation all the time. Usually when there is a booth at a sporting event/theme park/etc., it's called an "activation."

That's too bad about the cancellation. I wonder if they'll try to do it before the opening, or at this point wait until after? (I guess it may be difficult to do it after if the park is open every day)

The weather service is often wrong by 24hrs either way. The prudent thing to do is just postpone it and not have the crew and people all show up and set up only to not be able to film (and SFMM gets stuck with having to pay for the film crew anyway).

 

EDIT: Now that I think about it, most likely it was the film crew who informed the park that they were going to delay because of the bad weather forecast.
