  1. Hmmm, Fig. 5 in "Mosaics" suggests that the cars will rotate in a different axis to the Arrorw design... Very interesting stuff
  2. Chuck, great TR and video! You had me cracking up! Dave
  3. Hey Mike, I've linked all the TR's that you've uploaded so far to the front page of the topic, keep up the great TR's! Dave
  4. Don't forget spending money too. You get a ton of stuff included but you may have to buy food at some point (I also spent a small fortune on drinks in europe, damn heat!). Dave
  5. I'm doing Civil Engineering and quite a few of the Physics principles pop up in that. Slightly different however is that my course is not as concerned with the mecanics of the train moving on the track, but the track being supported and held in place while under the dynamic load of the train. It's quite interesrting so far, but i'm sure i'll hate it once it gets too hard! Dave
  6. ^^Good use of a TPR members pain. I have pretty much no clue what to attempt on this one. I thought "Merlot on Inferno" but it's not particularly good.

  8. ^^Very comprehensive! I went in 2005 and it was really good, the limited entry meant you were never waiting for anything and the lack of crowds made the lazy river quite relaxing (rather than the usual solid block of people moving as one down the course). Definately spend a day there, after all you're paying $260 for it, you have to get your moneys worth! Dave
  9. Yeah, they wouldn't be able to impliment an age restriction effectively. I assume they'd just say it's not suitible for those under 12 and let the parents decide...
  10. When R&E are ready to announce the trips they will, just sit tight until then
  11. I kinda like it. Sure there's a chance that in 10 years the brand might be dead, but hopefully we might get a backstory and a decent idea of a theme for a ride, we haven't had one of them for a while, especially down south. Ben, i know it's not a fantastic choice to bridge the height restriction gap (and yes se7en is crap) but I think this could be a very interesting addition to the lineup. Dave "lets wait and see" Wilson
  12. Write your message on the left and the adress you want to send it to on the right
  13. There's one, maybe two pictures of him in this thread.
  14. 1. All 3 2. IE7 3. They sure do 4. Once there is a whole season of "cooking with joe" on there, of course!!
  15. Yeah, definately bad thread choice If he went somewhere in the random forum, said why he'd been away (and why it was so good he couldn't be on TPR) and generally made a bit more of it than what seems to be a pathetic attempt at raising his post count, then I *think* he may have got a more sympathetic reaction. Dave
  16. As long as Retro-active stays, this is awesome news!! Dave "Waldameer is soooo good" Wilson
  17. Welcome people!! I hope you enjoy your TPR experience Just one thing Christian: I agree about Ge-force and Black Mamba, but the only thing Silverstar could possibly be famous for is being the most overly trimmed B&M hyper on the planet! Mack should keep to their own stuff inside Europa (which by the way is incredible!!)
  18. You'll notice the title fairly doesn't do this to people who take it as a joke, realise that custom titles really don't matter very much and don't whine no end about it...

    Port Aventura

The Alveys tend to speand Halloween in Florida and having done the Spain trip last year, it might be a little while before they're back.
  20. Yet you keep posting in it's thread.
  21. Does it? I've never had a thrilling ride on corkscrew (a headache however...) and certainly never find myself amazed by the abundance of airtime it has to offer, nor the painful entry to the mediocre inversions. It was my first coaster with inversions but it was bound to go some day, so there's not much point getting upset about it. Divv, I believe this does mean it has to be ridden, but the thought of never getting a migraine again at AT will make me happy again
  22. Goodbye!! It was an important ride for Alton Towers at the time, but that time has definately passed.
  23. I can't tell you what you like, wait till the trips are announced and look at what each one offers, then decide which is best for you...
  24. Nope, they're doing a youtube serial that has a new episode on the 13th of each month. The first two are shown above (in reverse order). I assume the videos will tell us the theme of the ride. Not the best video production, but a nice little series to keep enthusiasts entertained...
