^ B&M build their prototypes where ever they're paid to build their prototypes, simple as that...

I think SAW - the ride is a contender for this as well. The pre lift section is pretty good! Dave

Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride
TPDave replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
The same people that have spare cash to go to a theme park, pay for gas to get there, possibly a hotel room as well and don't want to have to wait the whole time when they're on what should be a fun and relaxing day. It's fantastic to have that choice (I don't go o anything at Thorpe if the line is over about 10 minutes), but as someone who has travelled to a lot of parks and known that if I didn't ride that day I wouldn't be able to for many years to come, I was very glad that systems were in place that allowed me to pay a premium to make sure I got my ride(s) in. Thorpe Park - 14-03-09 Opening Day
TPDave replied to StealthFan's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
^ Yeah, the other sites there on Thursday had mostly local people who didn't put as much effort into getting there. We had people who had taken afternoons/days off work and travelled for hours (no names mentioned ) to get on the ride. Plus I'm not sure any of the other sites even approached the park about the problems. Dave -
Hmmm, you should probably keep that to yourself Dave

Park index 4.0? Sounds interesting if not incredibly difficult to do! Just to chuck my opinion out there. I'm pretty much the same as Dave, I always watch the expedition disks, but the footage ones are hit and miss. I'm glad I have them though because it's nice to just have some raw shots of the coasters to show to friends and family. A photo disk would cool too, could there be an optional "deluxe" edition that has 3 disks? Dave

Looks, nice! Maybe slightly more of an outline on the letters though because it might get lost on the front page. It looks great here but the rest of the page isn't black so the box frames it really well, but when the rest of the background is black the text might not have the same impact. ^^^ Bob, It was the usual "technical issues". The chinese whispers were that a part was being flown in from Germany, but the ride seemed to be testing fine. Again, off the rumor mill, it should be good to go for tomorrows "Ride it first" competition winners and the Annual Pass preview day. Dave -
Thorpe Park Discussion Thread
TPDave replied to Rooey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've just been to Thorpe but the ride is still down We'll have pictures and video up soon, but in summary the ride are is very nicely presented, very densely themed and they seemed to be testing a lot of cars at once, so hopefully a half decent capacity. Once this thing opens it's probably going to be the best themed ride in the UK. Shame it wasn't open today though! Dave -
I went to the Geneva motor show today, fantastic day out! It was great to touch base with a little hobby of mine that I've been out of for a bit. Any european car geeks, it's definitely worth the trip I would do a PTR but firstly it would suck and secondly I haven't quite got the hang of this whole camera thing yet! Dave
