=We're too cheap to pay for anymore real mazes, so we settled for complete and utter crap that anyone could put in their garage. Oh, and Jokester's Hideout uses Flashback's queue.

DV, miniDV, DVCAM, and DVCPRO are all the same format. They just have different size tapes and manufacturing methods (DVCAM and DVCPRO are designed to be more durable). But they all share the same 25mb/sec codec.

Xcelerator video with Sandor Kernacs
Jew replied to kdt511's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The video was taken by a former ACN staff member/friend. It's not online anymore. -
Beer? I went straight to shots of "liquid cocaine." Probably wasn't a good idea, since that is about the last thing I can remember from 11:30pm-9am. Thanks for the birthday wishes people. For everyone who wished death upon me? Even though I probably came close last night...you first f*ckers!

No...it's not. It's actually quite obnoxious.

I feel like the park has been tainted by Ryan's visit. USH that is. -
Joe: saw this earlier... "What do the Fighting Irish and Marijuana have in common? They both get smoked in a bowl." Q: Why are they planning to resurface Notre Dame Stadium with cardboard? A: Because the Irish always play better on paper.

^I just hope they will be around somewhere this Halloween. They were the only good thing Fright Fest had going for them.

Not that I feel that persons comments were appropriate, but really, looking at the photos, what kind of reaction were you expecting? "Oh, that's just kids having fun. No one should be concerned/disturbed by the fact these are 14 year kids posing provocatively in that manner..." -
Lift motors usually don't decide to go "BOOM" on their own. Is it a coincidence Goliath had a similar (or was it the same?) problem? I think not. The maintenance staff are great people, and talented mechanics/electricians/etc. The problem is their hands are tied as to what they can do because of the complete lack of resources they are given. I have a friend who went from being a mechanic at SFMM to a mechanic at Disneyland who was almost in shock when he had to perform yearly maintenance on a ride and a part that could still run was replaced anyways. His quote was "that would have been good for 3 more years at SFMM!"

I feel like I'm going to jail for reading this TR... -
^^Ditto. Kind of sad now to see nothing but the entrance building and the former main entrance gates in front of their condo towers (that's a rant for another day...Vegas condos). If only you didn't have to walk like 1000000 miles to get to the park...

Hi Jeff.

I'd just like to point out that Snakes on a Plane was nowhere near the best movie of 2006. It even failed at becoming a cult classic. Oddly enough, at the same time, it wasn't really a bad movie. Here's the thing... I always thought it would be funnier if Snakes on a Plane was an Academy Award contender for best picture. That would be HILARIOUS. But it's not. So then we fall back on the fact that the premise of Snakes on a Plane+Sam Jackson is HILARIOUS. But aside from a few cheesy moments (which were admittedly pretty awesome), the movie actually tried to have a plot/character development/emotions and the outcome was a watchable movie. So I don't know what to think. I'm totally bummed out it wasn't nearly cheesy enough to live up to its title, but at the same time I was entertained.

Cards below 1980 are only worth "SOME" money, yet cards above 1970 are the good stuff? Fresno logic at its best. I've actually found that rookie cards from the 1970's-1980's are actually WAY less valuable than current day rookies. Which strikes me as odd, considering all the greats that were rookies during that time. When card companies starting going the way of a bunch of short print/limited edition cards, the beckett/resell value of cards took off. Just as an example, I paid more for a signed Joe Mauer Bowmans Best rookie (and some Pujols cards, and some David Wright cards...) card than I did for a George Brett rookie card that would probably grade as a 7 or an 8 (which is good for a card that old). Just check ebay and search for rookie cards of David Wright, Joe Mauer, Fransisco Liriano, Jered Weaver, Albert Pujols, and other young guys with assloads of potential/talent that could translate into a HOF career/putting up big numbers so far in their young careers. Then compare that to a search for Tony Gwynn, Wade Boggs, George Brett, Robin Yount, Paul Molitor, and other greats that got their start in the 70's and 80's. It's ridiculous! Personally, I think that is what is wrong with the trading card industry. Just like anything else, it was fun, then adults had to come take it over and make it a business. Now there are some packs that go for as much as $250 (for like 3 cards!) targeted solely at collectors! There's really nothing besides super crappy basic sets that are reasonably priced any more, which takes a lot of the fun out of collecting. I know I don't buy nearly as many baseball cards as I used to for that reason... /end dorky baseball card rant.
