WTF? A high school that makes kids intern? At three different places? Uhm...that's...odd.

Don't worry, Fred is gone. And one of the rides he wanted to make a one operator ride will never open again (Flashback). The other one? Revolution. They also wanted to give RRv and B:TR auxillary panels (like Goliath), but the insurance companies/state would not let them because B&M would not approve the SOP change. (Oh, and I knew Shapiro was all talk...)

Credit Cards - Word of advice for you younger posters
Jew replied to bgwfreak's topic in Random, Random, Random
I personally think credit cards are a great thing for a teenager if used properly. Right now I have four. Two I use to pay for food/other small purchases, one I use as my card for any trip expenses, and one I rarely use (don't even keep it in my wallet) as a backup. The trick is, like others have said, is just make sure you can pay them off every month. I usually charge about $100-200 on each of my two main cards, so I am sure I can pay them off. You do need open lines of credit to build up your credit when it comes time to buy a car/house/other major purchases (I just bought a brand new Jetta in March and had the option of financing on my own if I wanted to...but it was cheaper if I co-signed with my parents), and getting a few credit cards that you use sparingly is a great way to do that. -

Orange County (CA) Fair (yeah, it's late)

The Mondial Swinger was at the Del Mar fair because that is an independent midway. I doubt it'll be at the state fair, since that is exclusively RCS. -
In the name of fairness, I would just like to point out that band geeks who stick with band through college get to hang out with chicks like THESE as part of their duties.... -Joey "drumlines are cool...but I'm bias, since my cousin was center snare at USC" Mandel

S&S Sansei Discussion Thread
Jew replied to Coaster Joe's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I could definitely see S&S declaring bankruptcy and emerging as a scaled down company focusing on the manufacturing/sales of parts for all their rides (that's where the real money in this industry is!) instead of designing/fabricating rides... -
If you need Combustion for a coaster video...you're trying way too hard.

^I don't think anyone can blame them for that...

Why do parks still buy wooden coasters? I mean, a simple conventional coaster that doesn't even go upside-down can't possibly cut it anymore! Especially since nearly every major park has one of those too. Right? Or inverts (SLC's and/or B&M's)? Those things have been around for over 10 years...what an old and outdated gimmick! AND nearly every major park has one... Every market is different. A new Arrow looping coaster in so-cal proves your point. That's a market where a new standard looper "wouldn't cut it." But there are plenty of parks that are far enough away from any similiar rides where an S&S/Arrow looper could be a sound investment if the price was right.

Haha...a gang is invading your turf in the 41190. You better throw down.

So that explains all the illegal border crossings...they just don't want to wait an hour and a half to cross the border!

Best restaurant: Ohana @ WDW. Best overall food parks: tie between EPCOT and Disneyland.
