And so the Deacon’s threat has ended, and civilization may start anew on dry land…while the Mariner roams the four plains of the compass on the endless seas of WaterWorld.

TOOL-Staples Center. Aside from the fact Staples Center sucks as a concert venue, I counted 2,034 different kinds of ridiculous. Great show. Complete package. Loud, sounded as good as something at Staples could, great lighting, and Maynard had great energy. Awesome drum solos too.

Boomerang Bay has been way more successful than any coaster would have been. Deal with it.

^Need I remind you that both Oregon State and ASU gave LSU all they could handle in the last two seasons. Had Oregon State not missed three kicks, LSU most likely would have lost. I guess in the SEC that counts as not having a chance since you guys are so used to close games between mediocre and slightly above average teams, but really... Or better yet, wasn't Auburn the "best" team in the SEC at the beginning of the year when USC made them their bitches at Auburn. They also played the Citadel that year. I understand the reason schools do it (it'seasy money plus a free win...unless you're Colorado), but how the hell can you expect pollsters to respect you if you do that? Scheduling IAA is something the SEC is notorious for. Along with being afraid to play bigtime out of conference road games (at least they have been trying to get better in that regard...). And did I mention the horrible offenses most of those teams feature? Oh sorry, I mean "great defenses" in "hostile stadiums" where its tougher to play because of the "punishing humidity." I think it says a lot about the conference when the team USC obliterated 70-17 last season managed to BARELY lose to LSU and Georgia that same year... Truth be told, I think all conferences are pretty much the same. A powerhouse program or two, a couple of decent teams that usually have potential they can never live up to (and contend every few years they can actually come close to living up to that potential), a couple of average teams that live off their past and simply recruit well so voters are fooled into voting them into the top 25, and a couple of bottom dwellers. So I'm tired of hearing how awesome the SEC is, when it is just like any other major conference (except the Big East...they just suck).

Hopefully it will be fun...if it is ever open. 2x the LSM's=2x the downtime! -
The only thing more over rated than Notre Dame is the SEC. But hey, at least only two of the SEC's ranked teams scheduled D-IAA teams this year. (Oh, and for the record: Notre Dame sucks so much they didn't even need to be in a conference to lose 3 games) Oh well...at least neither the PAC-10 or the SEC are as weak as the Big East or the ACC (Where a team that was 8-5 last year is the defending champion).

^I think the whole "higher end" (we'll stay 3 stars/diamonds/whatever and above) hotel industry is going through this change. With the advent of iPods, HDTV's, etc. it is taking changes like these to stay competitive (and to keep your ratings). Granted Disney didn't renovate the rooms so soon, but arent they are having to make the same upgrades to their deluxe rooms to stay competitive too?
