But Cedar Point has been voted the best amusement park 9 years in a row...You would think that by now they would have figured out the whole "midwest weather right on the freaking shore of Lake Erie might cause a problem!" thing. When Magic Mountain has better rain/thunderstorm operations...there's a big problem. I understand being cautious, but the first half of the day was seriously ridiculous. Besides rides going down for "on coming weather" that never produced a drop of rain, audible thunder, or visible lighting...it took 45 minutes to add a second train to Mantis because they had to do the block check they were afraid to do in the rain (And I KNOW that was BS...I have personally done RRv's block check in pouring rain! With three trains!!) and only Raptor and TTD were running at maximum capacity after the rain let up because they were so afraid of rain they didn't want any collisions. I think someone high up at Cedar Point must have been abused as a child by rain.

There's no doubt that his numbers before juicing were HoF worthy...but so were McGwire's before his Congressional hearing. Granted they weren't as impressive as Bonds, but I don't believe there was a 500hr club member who wasn't a first ballot inductee prior to this... So it will definitely be interesting.

But that doesn't apply Human Growth Hormones. The main side-effect of HGH is acromegaly (which happens to be the disease characterized by excessive growth of the head, feet, and hands), not that Barry Bonds has somehow managed to quadruple in size or anything... Oh, and the reason he never failed a drug test is because it was called "The Clear" for a reason. It's inventor even said as much. It was called "The Clear" specifically because it could not be detected by any test. And then there is the Curt Schilling (who himself is somewhat hypocritical for being so outspoken against Bonds, yet didn't tell Congress anything...but that's another story) argument: If Bonds didn't cheat, why not sue the sh*t out of anyone who says otherwise? Or better yet, what is his trainer hiding by continuing to refuse to talk to the grand jury? And the book "Game of Shadows." So just because there is no positive test certainly doesn't mean there isn't a compelling argument that he cheated. I'm not disputing the fact he was a great player (30/30/.300 BEFORE steroids is pretty impressive)... So what? Did you read my other posts? "What" is the fact Bonds gets gets more scrutiny because he is such an asshole. Fans and sportswriters hate him. A-rod was basically caught cheating on his wife (pretty much the ultimate form of douchebaggery). People sure didn't boo him when he hit #500. Nor will they boo when he breaks the record if he keeps hitting at this pace. Everyone and their mother knew Gaylord Perry doctored his pitches. He's not labeled as a cheater. Everyone overlooked the odd dramatic increase in power from McGwire and Sosa because they were friendly to fans and sportswriters. Despite his great numbers, Bonds may not even be a first ballot hall of famer if McGwire was the litmus test. And it's because he pissed off all the people responsible for voting him in. That would be awesome.

the douchebag part I can understand but people aren't saying that his record is tainted because of that... The reason he gets so much scrutiny is because he is such a huge douchebag. Fans/sportswriters/etc. would all be much more forgiving towards him if he wasn't such an asshole his whole career. I'd still always hate him because he is a Giant, but I am sure a lot more people would be willing to overlook the obvious if he was an "ambassador" to game, always friendly to the press and fans, etc.

He never tested positive because the HGH he was taking wasn't able to be detected until a fews ago (only after a sample was anonmously turned into the US anti-doping agency). I've been going to the OC Fair for the last 5 years...the only time I have seen that was as a special promotion (it was a 10 rides for $10 deal) on a Friday night. Never seen any Saturday specials. But the $1 rides until 8PM on Thursdays and Fridays this year is a great deal! Yes. Good TR. Did you guys get your beer at the Beer garden place towards the back? They had some good stuff back there (Kona Brewery on tap). Derek would be proud!

I thought Europa Park was definitely on par with any Disney park for themeing. Same with the Hotels. I definitely want to visit that park again!

I'm sure the jeans you buy at Target come from the same sweatshop...so good for A&F for fooling people into paying so much for a pair of jeans that didn't cost them anywhere remotely close to that much to produce. I say "fashion" (in quotations because I really don't get how a pair of jeans that look worn down is fashionable in the first place) is over rated. But that's because I have no sense of fashion.

I've never heard of Disneyland closing their exit for a lost child...that's asking way too much of a park. Give the employee at the exit a description of the lost child? Sure. That's easy enough for any park (and should have been done if that is really what happened), but you're kidding yourself if you expect a park to go on lockdown because you were an irresponsible parent.
