  1. Survivors are now also suing Boeing. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/07/17/law-firm-says-it-suing-boeing-over-asiana-crash/
  2. ^I'm not sure I would count on it being ready in September! Just seems so weird a ride that can be built and ready to cycle in week on the fair circuit is taking so damn long at SCBB...
  3. Love your photos! Also, Asylum, are you reading this?!?!
  4. Where did this $7 million figure for a Boomerang come from?
  5. ^...Until USC upsets them at the Coliseum!
  6. It gets sketchier the further south down Beach you go...but between the 5 and KBF, it's fine.
  7. ^And their enforcer. No one is going to be crashing the net on Quick this season.
  8. The train lives on at a private residence/animal kennel just a few miles down The Old Road. Along with a bunch of other historical items from SFMM!
  9. Maybe they finally got RRv's 3rd train back?
  10. ^I enjoyed the ride too. But the plaza area actually took away from the experience for me. Totally reminded me I was at SFMM with how poorly done it was. I think people weren't dancing when you went because the area doesn't give off any sort of "hey, this is a party/fun time!" while you are waiting in line at all. I will give YOLO Plaza a little credit: the water feature seemed like it was a hit!
  11. ^I hope that's sarcasm. The plaza area looked and felt like it was thrown together in 5 minutes. Temporary stage, awning with barricade and rope as the queue, and mostly bad dubstep music (I heard one re-mix I somewhat enjoyed) played over stock extreme sports & roller coaster B-roll footage in slow motion...
  12. ^^It actually sucked for scares IMO. However, it looked fantastic. Definitely the best 3D maze design wise Knott's had done.
  13. You know you're a theme park nerd when BGM can create a whole page long discussion.
  14. Bumping this thread as we are quickly approaching the start of the 2013 season! Media days are underway, and fall camps will follow shortly!
  15. I would imagine the Cabin will be the entrance facade...they can probably do something with the cellar and a wooded area with the hick family. Maybe even take you around the world to all the various sacrifice rituals. Lots of possibilities.
  16. ^^Since he retired and the Devils are shedding his deal from their books...he'll become an unrestricted free agent in 2018.
  17. Hopefully they tear it down and start with a new building that uses its interior space more effectively. I'm guessing they'll keep the walls and nothing else. "Modifying an existing structure" is a A LOT cheaper than starting from scratch.
  18. A few others I remembered... 1. Boardwalk Bullet on the Texas trip. BAD. Couldn't even do more than two rides during ERT. 2. Cedar Point in a drizzle. "OMG, lets close everything!!! And then completely redo the block check when we can reopen! Screw the guests waiting to ride SOMETHING besides the train!"
  19. ^Kings have $3.1 mil left with Nolan & Lewis most likely going to arbitration. Doubt its happening unless the Kings move one of their 9 defensemen or he takes a discount...
  20. Topper track for ghostrider would probably make it top 10 again...such a great layout!
  21. I disagree with this unless you plan on doing the VIP option for HHN. You won't have enough time for all the mazes, shows, and rides with how long the lines get at HHN. If you just do a regular ticket for HHN...get there 5:00-5:30ish when the security checkpoints open, be at the front of the opening ceremony, then head down to the lower lot and knock out those mazes. Then head right back up for terror tram, and finish with the other upper lot mazes (which should be 60 min or less wait times before 10:00PM).
  22. Boy are there still new Zyklons? Why do there have to be.... The log-flume looks great. By just looking at it I'd guess it could be a Reverchon. Is it around much? This is quite the largest ride I've seen on US fairs... Looks like the Reverchon to me too. It's the only style of flume that travels in the U.S. that I've seen. There's a whole bunch of them traveling around the U.S.
  23. Those parts can't be cheap since they are most likely made to order. I can't imagine there is a huge stockpile of parts just laying around...
  24. For me, I just need to make sure I have a full stomach. An empty stomach will almost always make me feel a little sick on rides.
