^Blame Cedar Fair. They knew the rules, knew what their agreement with the city and Prudential was...and pushed the limits. -

Oh, I totally get it. I still just think he's going to end up realizing the water park is a lot easier/cheaper to operate and shutter the dry side, so it can become the other development that was discussed earlier. -

More emphasis on the water park...hmmm.... -
^I think that was the best deal an Eastern Conference team gave them. They didn't want him to go to another team in the West. This draft was a deeper draft class, so the opportunity to get a young talent was probably the best bet anyways. There's also the fact that everyone knew the Canucks were handcuffed: they're stuck with Loungo's awful contract and there was a 0% chance Cory Schneider would stay after his contract was up (maybe he'd even bust a Tim Thomas?).

Before you guys direct your blame to Prudential, it is worth noting again that Cedar Fair (albeit under the old executive team) agreed to these terms. So IMO, the blame goes to the park for failing to account for this. Seems that the structural design for these were already there, so why not just build them from the start? Hopefully this is a quick fix, since we are now approaching the major 4th of July holiday weekend... -

Nope. The wait time can vary depending on the amount of trains they have online, rows they are loading (in case one car has a bad lap bar or something), a technical delay, etc. -
I find it odd too that Houston didn't get a shuttle. I guess they just got out bid by LA. What a shame. I think it is NYC that is really the odd shuttle out---at least Los Angeles can say they played a major role in the Shuttle Program, since that is where they were designed and built (well, in Palmdale---close enough though).

^You can always upload them to TPR! I think it would make a great photo TR, showing your work and some behind the scenes stories! As for me, I'm still hanging around the business. -
^If you know there is already a thread, please take a minute to search for the appropriate thread and post in there. It will still bump it to the top.

Maybe the $20 million figure included the surrounding area as well? If those water park additions are what he is planning on adding...that's probably $5-$10 million right there. Doesn't surprise me at all that would be followed up with cheaper rehabs. -
A growing chain out here is The Counter. Definitely a solid entry into the burger chain market. You can build your own or get one of their signature ones. And there's good beer on tap!

Very cool! I checked out Endeavor in Los Angeles, and it was definitely awe inspiring. And in typical LA fashion, instead of a full on impressive exhibit (which they are still trying to raise money for), the shuttle is just in a giant temporary building. This exhibit looks AWESOME and completely blows the LA one away! I did the VIP tour of KSC like 10 years ago...this exhibit will definitely bring me back for the first time since then!

^The Disney contracts are probably the result of cost and being one of the few manufacturers that will hand over complete control of the ride to Disney (Disney lists themselves as the designer of all their rides and is heavily involved in the design/construction/programming).
