  1. Stubhub will give you the delivery options. Since they are just the middlemen in the transaction, it is up to the seller how they will get shipped. There are e-tickets, will call, fedex, and even pick up at the local stubhub office (they have offices nearby most arenas and stadiums).
  2. I'm having a brain fart right now location wise...Chocolate World is going to occupy the former nightclub space?
  3. And now there is a Big Wangs just down the street for some decent wings!
  4. ^Book smarts vs. street smarts. How things look on paper is one thing (and kudos to you for at least being as informed as you can be), but how things actually play out in this industry (one that Robb has been around for 20+ years) is entirely another. Being in and around the industry for so long teaches you things and introduces you to people with valuable information that no model will ever show, which is what I think Robb's point is. At the end of the day, it would take a lot of profitable years to equal a cash payment from selling the park. A notable example of "you never know what to expect" would be Six Flags publicly stating SFMM was up for sale a few years ago.
  5. http://www.voiceofoc.org/oc_north/article_b5a201fa-fd8d-11e2-b3c7-0019bb2963f4.html Interesting article on how Disney likely increased the cost of the streetcar project.
  6. I expect more injuries and terrible tackling throughout the season. I'm an expert on this sort of thing, being a USC fan where Kiffin tried to limit contact in practice last season.
  7. That theme (apparently every hispanic person was terrified of the lady as a kid) went over real well at USH the past two years. Excited to see what UO's creative team does with it.
  8. Here's a great article on the technology in the exhibit: http://livedesignonline.com/electrosonic-helps-launch-space-shuttle-atlantis-exhibit (as a side note, Electrosonic is a major player in the theme park business. They have many Universal and Disney projects to their credit.)
  9. As long as the restaurant that serves this burger is still there, it's all good!
  10. I suspect they'll just scrap it and collect the insurance and/or settlement from Mondial. Just like VertiGo.
  11. I believe it has no height requirement. Can't expect it to be too intense if everyone can ride.
  12. When I went to Knotts two months back, an employee we were talking to about Windseeker told my friends and me that it was originally supposed to go in Sky Cabins spot but Buena Park claimed it was a "national landmark" so they had to locate it in Fiesta Village instead. I thought it was kinda silly but if he's right, Sky Cabin won't be going anywhere. The only part that anyone was concerned about was the 'K" at the top of the tower.
  13. Adventure City hasn't even dismantled Tree Top Racers yet, so I'm guessing if those are coaster supports that they are not for Adventure City.
  14. No point in sinking so much time, effort, and money into a lost cause.
  15. ^If I remember correctly, a lot of their food/retail/entertainment spaces were large enough they could have been repurposed as stand alone venues. It was set up as a ticketed park, but also as a ticketed park that expected huge crowds---so the space was there.
  16. Is that a feasible route from Utah? Or Ohio? Those are the only places I know of that have roller coaster fabrication business in the U.S.
  17. ^That's great to hear! I really can't wait to visit again just for the Springfield area.
  18. That's not really a fair criticism. It was three brand new coaster experiences to the park. YOLOCoaster's marketing was much more of a stretch than that campaign.
  19. Every single park in the country has similar policies in place. Not a story at all.
  20. ^^USH has a history of making musician mazes work well: Rob Zombies album maze in 2000 was awesome, and the Alice Cooper mazes the past two years also managed to mix good scares with a backstory tied to his music. It sounds like this maze will be taking a "apocalyptic/anarchy/end of the world" theme based on the lyrics of "13."
  21. Next maze announced: Insidious http://www.insidethemagic.net/2013/08/insidious-into-the-further-haunted-house-announced-for-halloween-horror-nights-2013-at-universal-studios-hollywood/
  22. Would be interesting to see those posted. Though we all saw the youtube video, Knott's was pretty quick about clearing the area and limiting what was seen afterwards.
  23. I hate the preseason. Scripted plays, no one really going all out unless they are trying to make the team...and I think this training camp/preseason cycle is even worse because of the new rules. More injuries are happening because the players can't properly condition themselves in the name of "player safety."
  24. I wonder if this will turn out like the SFMM thread, with 3 pages of discussion about how KBF should have bought 3rd train for Xcelerator?
  25. Minor injuries don't get reported to the state, so they should be good.
