  1. I don't really eat gum much, but I like Jenkki-Fire (a Finnish gum, strong, spicy licorice flavour) and some apple-gums, and also Bubblicious Cotton Candy.
  2. When I was in a bookstore yesterday, buying schoolbooks, I actually saw Robb Report in a magazine shelf, unluckily it was wrapped, so I couldn't take a good look at it, and it costed 12€ (~15$). Anyway, my try:
  3. ^ tacos mmmm... it was ages since my last one. My last meal was a three days old microwave macaroni casserole with too much ketchup, it was still 'good' (read: edible).
  4. Tough question. I have been on all types except stand-ups and sit-downs. hmm... I'd say that inverts are my favourite type, 2:nd favourite is floorless (even though I've only been on one, Daemonen), my 3:rd favourite type is dive machines.
  5. There are some here too, not really on freeways, but more on some 'regular' roads that we drive on quite regularly, they're nice, but the airtime, only last for like a half second. What's better though, are some narrow, bumpy forest dirt roads near my grandma, there you get some really good 'airtime'.
  6. I have actually tattooed all the layouts of the spain trip coasters on my whole body, so that if someone asks: -"What will happen next on this coaster?" I'll brag and answer ie. -"Look behind my ear or follow that bumpy line from my left knee to my toes". Then one would ask:- "What's that shrubbery, is it themeing?", I'd say:- "No, that's just my hairy feet". (which brings me back on topic...) So, Cool tattoo Derek! it looks really good, being quite unique and colored! On a sidenote, I would be too much of a chicken to get a tattoo.
  7. Usually I have soccer trainings 3 times a week plus games, I do also play Badminton once a week, swim about once a month, run to catch the bus very often, I do also 'walk' somewhat often. I cycle quite much in summer, but that's about all exercise I do really.
  8. It's a real, old historical building. Here's some information.
  9. Happy Birthday Casey!! Enjoy it and have lots of fun!
  10. I live approx. 6.5 miles away from my school. Fastest I can get to school/home by bus is about 40 mins (it depends on when I start/end school and much on bus and sometimes train connections). It can also take up to 1.5 hours when I start at 11, which I quite rarely do, because then I have to: walk 0.5 miles to busstop, sit in a bus for about 5 mins, walk to the trainstation 0.8 miles, wait for 15-20mins there, sit in a train for 7 mins, walk 600ft, wait 13 mins, sit in a bus for about 16 mins. But, usually I start at 8 and then my mum drives me craz.. erm.. to school, which takes about 18 mins.
  11. This has been a decent coaster year for me. Last year is my best year so far, 35 credits and 7 new parks etc., still this year has been alright in the way that I had my longest 'season' ever: lasting from 15th April to 18th October. Some stats: My current count: 80 # of new coasters: 15 # of new for me parks: 4 # of total park visits: 8 # of new for 2006 coasters: 2
  12. ^yeah, it does a bit. Good PTR!! It's always nice to see photos from smaller more unknown parks. I have to agree that the rock-themed coaster and moonswings looked great or atleast unique.
  13. "Oil destroys the oceans in many ways" - translated quote from my recent geography- test.
  14. Cool! Nice pics, I love mountains. Yay! for skiing , I still have to wait about two months.
  15. Wow!! What a nice surprise! Congratulations Robb and Elissa!, I'm sure she/he will turn out great with such great parents and will have an awesome life!
  16. Tulireki at Linnanmäki last Wednesday, in windy 41 F 'warm' weather, quite likely my worst coasterseason ending ever
  17. ^Congrats I'm happy that I've got some new ice cream in the freezer, to taste and that I start school as late as at 10 tomorrow.
  18. My favourite multigrain ryebread has reduced its fibre content by 4%.
  19. Hi everyone, This TR is a bit old (I would've posted it, before if some camera related problems hadn't occured), from August this year. Me, my mom, and sister traveled about 530 miles up north to Lapland (the northern part of Finland) to just look around the area, nature, visit 'the' Santa and the most northern (as far as I know) themepark in the world, Santa Park. Now onto the photos: The last meal before returning home, was... yes you guessed or saw right, at McDonald's. Arctic circle center, (you know the place is lying). It was one of many souvenir shops in the 'Santa' area, you wasn't allowed to take photos in them, so sorry about that. Outside we saw some random candles queueing in a row. The passage up to groundlevel, with its nice red lights. (actually it wasn't that red, my camera messed around, it was probably on ’the colors of hell-' mode. The guestbook-table, without a guestbook, is about as dull as a zebra without stripes. Some quite nicely themed 'shops' maybe a bit too nice as you can see a WC sign, even though there wasn't a wc, lol The only place where you could get some food in the park. Some elves having fun, and rudolph the pink-nosed reindeer's head watching. Oh, it's just a local guy taking a bath. Some snowy huts and what's that in the 'teepee'? A traditional saame*-man taking a blow on his instrument or farting hard. Saame people are a minory of people living in north Sweden, Norway, Finland, who have their own language, traditons etc. Frogs on Mushrooms, the still 'secret' sequel to Snakes on a Plane. Their only ride left* was a darkride. *=they used to have three other rides, a carousel, a very small kiddy thing, and a family ride. http://www.huvipuisto.netclick on the union jack-flag and then on Santa Park on the leftpane Me looking: 'horny', stupid, anti-patriotic, wearing an old England soccer shirt. The 'elves' dance show, was a dissapointment, because there wasn't any midgets. They did also have an small icebar here, unfortunately there wasn't any shiny space-uniforms TADAA! The surprising twist of this topic, you'll see my sister instead of me, with the Santa. After paying the entrance fee of 10€ (~12$ or 6.5£), I went to Santa's office and... The long (around 600ft?) passage down to hell..erm to the park. Also, the park was really dark, which was good for its 'x-massy' atmosphere, but not for taking photos, without an extra flash Some facts for you. A rock and... A) a futuristic alien 'Jaws' mouth. B) The entrance to a themepark. Here we are. Our hotel in the middle of a forest, like practically anything in Finland. A nice 'canyon' with a river and a wooden slide. A reindeer, beside the road having a light snack. The small 'mistake', Särkänniemi's boss did when hungry: he ordered a edible halfpipe for 2.5€, but got a ride from intamin for 2 million € * *=I'm not sure about the price. Nice views and a rusty spaceship flying just above you, that's what I call... pretty. You can see far away from here and in winter you could ski down the hill. [/boring caption #53] Rocks and trees... and if you stare long enough you can see Musafa in the sky. You know, if my head wasn't attached to my body, I'm pretty sure it would be lying on lots of rocks and eating innocent skiers on one of Finland's highest hills. Higher up, with more trees and more stupid faces. Wee!! The first sitdown ski lift, I've ever been on. Pyhä mountain or Pyhä fell, as it's actually called, is one of Finland's highest mountains, at around 1710ft. Buster, the leader of the nice, local paper mache- tribe, wanted to give me a ride.* *-the ride was free! Ohh.. reindeers! The one on the left hasn't clearly used one of his 'powerboost' protein bars' yet, as he is losing to his buddy, Rüdiger. Yeeaaah!! that's what I'm talking about, catch that thief, and eat him!! You know, reindeers can suddenly run on the road, so you have to be careful, when driving. The Santa Village, and you see that sign and white 'arctic circle line' on the ground? It's freaking lying!! The real arctic circle is really like a mile up north, this one is only built or drawn here so that tourists can take their 'crossing the line' "Hello, I'm a soft moose and I can't get loose, so it's up for you to choose, if you want to buy me some cheap booze." Yes, we are that high up north now (see the dotted line). Before we really get going, I'll just take a small trip and some pancakes. Rovaniemi train station. This is the city where the rock group and this years Eurovision winners, Lordi, are from. [/boring caption #1] OMG!! It's 'the' pain-button, in a toilet!!! Our crammed, non-air contioned, triple bunkbed (or would that be 1.5 bunk bed?) cabin for the next 13 hours (note:there are no better cabins on that train).
  20. I 'collect' € (euro) coins, in other words, I try to have atleast one coin from every country in EMU. I think I have already reached my goal, unless I can't find some irish coins (from my room). I do also 'kind of collect' some small bills from other countries, I have a few English pounds, Swiss francs, Estonian krooni, Swedish and Danish kronor.
  21. Good find. It's always nice to see pics of those smaller, more unknown japanese parks. Those coasters look a bit 'shaky', yet cool imo. a bit offtopic at the 'carpark touring' monorail (in the first post of this topic), it's quite cool that it goes through a loop though.
  22. I ride coasters for the rush, sensation of speed, because of the nice feeling, also to get away from everyday life and stress, and because most of them are fun.
  23. Ben & Jerry's ice cream finally 'arrived' to Finland, to some limited stores only, few weeks ago, luckily I have one about 1500ft away, though they only sell Cherry Garcia and Phish food the last time I checked, it still very nice though.
  24. ^yay, for the classic Ocean's Eleven, I did also like it, it's one of my favourite older (more than 40 year old) movies. A few movies I've seen quite recently: Dead poets society- really good, quite different from other movies I've seen, there were some a bit annoying parts, but overall it was much better than expected. Loaded Weapon 1 - Very funny. Loved it. The Weatherman - It was ok, a bit dissapointing, too 'sad', I just didn't really like this. Miami Vice- I really liked this a lot, the music was great, it was very nice visually, the story was alright, and it wasn't too long imo.
  25. Jahan: "Aaarrhh! Ooochh! the sun is burning my eyes"! Robb: is quiet. (is thinking of teethless aliens, and their affect on Tajikistan's waffle-price inflation). "If you want to be like the guy on the right, wear the new Eye-master superbicus shades". Protects you from sun, UV rays, and ugly coasters (Parking lot- coasters, not included)
