How was your park year?
Tömmioh replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My year was pretty good. Got to visit 4 new parks: Luna Park, Holiday Park, Europa Park, PowerPark and old favourites: Linnanmäki, Särkänniemi and Liseberg. Highlights: -got to meet: Robb, Elissa, Derek, Jeff Johnson, Dan. -riding EGF and Silver Star and Balder. -it was a nice warm and long summer. Some photos: A bit of a messy shot, that's supposed to be a Huss Booster. My last coastertrip of the year in October at Linnanmäki. This is the construction site for the new Ball-coaster. Finally got to PowerPark, which coasters were surprisingly good. a photo I took, which came out quite nice, I think. Back in Finland. Having a great time. Aaaah. yippie! first credit of the year! -
What is your local park?
Tömmioh replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I live "somewhere else in the world", which is in North and a bit to East in Europe. My nearest parks: Linnanmäki - 14 miles. Rocca Al Mare Tivoli, Estonia - about 80 miles. (Tykkimäki-they have over 25 rides, but only one 'coaster', which is powered=no credit= bleugh.) Särkänniemi - 110 miles Wonder Island, Gagarin Park, Alisa Park, all in St. Petersburg, Russia - 195 miles. PowerPark - 240 miles. Gröna Lund, Sweden - 250 miles. -
A few older movies I've seen recently: Analyze this- it was pretty good and funny, nice acting, I'd give it 8/10. Black Rain- I really liked this one, good atmosphere, it happened a lot, some alright action scenes, a bit funky 80's music, exceeded my expectations, 8/10. Deja Vu- went to see it yesterday, it was a bit dissapointing as the film-quality wasn't the best and it was mostly filmed off-ride and the plot was a bit weak, since the only exciting thing was the testing after it had been closed for 3 hours. Ok. sorry, onto the movie Deja Vu. It was good and long, I liked it, but the whole central monitoring idea was a bit complicated, there were some typical things, still the movie didn't dissapoint me, it was a nice surprise actually, also, luckily it did have a bit humur, which raises its rate to 9/10.

Biology - mostly because of the really boring teacher and eukariotes? cell micrology, I couldn't give a darn about them. Long (harder) math- with equations and third degree functions? it sucked major a$$, also, as we didn't have any book to help, guide us and the teacher was horrible, yelled if someone didn't count right, and it was really annoying and boring, I am really glad that I moved down to short (easier) math, after that. Actually I've been very lucky since most of our teachers are alright and the classes, subjects haven't been too bad either, or maybe it's just me.

What weird thing happened to you today?
Tömmioh replied to jason10's topic in Random, Random, Random
^ I feel sorry for you. --- This actually happened yesterday, but nevermind. So, I was on my way to school, I had to wait somewhere for 25mins. because of bad buss conections, I obviously went to the nearby-located small 'shopping center', I sat on a bench, and thought of what I should do. Then after a minute a random 40 something? year old guy sat behind (there are benches with the backsupport against each other). He started talking very fast, said multiple times that:-Do you know what?, then I simply said: no, and he said ok, I'll tell you. Then he ie. babbled about the price difference for 12-packs of beer in different stores, and about how good and how much that shopping center has changed in 10 years, and lots more about shops and their area, he just seemed to love them. He talked for about 5 mins total, then suddenly he said alright, bye and left within a second, it was all a bit weird as was he, but also quite funny in the end. -
Alternative eaters-Vegitarians, Vegans, Carnivores...
Tömmioh replied to Xme3's topic in Random, Random, Random
I'm also an omnivore. I like different kinds of food, except for some seafood or 'pure' vegetarian dishes, but eat about everything else (as in 'normal' food (aka no fear factor dishes, ok I haven't tried, but you get the point...) -
Why you Love Coasters/Amusement Parks
Tömmioh replied to Airtime&Gravity's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love coasters because they are the only thing that love and will ever love me . No, but seriously. I like coasters, because of the thrill, fun, excitement, the experience. I like themeparks, because it's a nice way to 'escape' your everyday stressy life and the atmosphere in them is also often so happy and pleasant, some food/snacks are good. -
The Simpsons - Do the Bartman -first time I've heard it from the radio.

What is the craziest thing you've done on a bike?
Tömmioh replied to socalMAN123's topic in Random, Random, Random
^^Wow. That's cool! The most exciting thing I've done on a bike, is to crash with an old lady when bikeing uphill, lol when she just appeared all of a sudden from a yard right in front of me. Yes, my bikeing history is quite boring, not many accidents or cool stuff, there are of course some times I've slid or fallen of the bike, but nothing worth mentioning really. -

Great TR! Sounds like you had fun. Also cool photos, like the coasterbridge. Walk-ons at SFMM, darn that would be cool (even if X was/would not be open). -

Cruising with Theme Park Review!
Tömmioh replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Great TR once again! Still at Zebra pasta and the "2 for 1's" (fart box and side boob+side p*nis guy. ) Really nice pics, always good to see much food and happiness . Also, Thanks for the pic, it's appreciated: cruising ships, trees and fat-free sour-ryebread for reindeer, yup that's what keeps Finland's economy alive Anyway good stuff, looking forward for more. -
15th November this year I saw Iron Maiden play at Hartwall Arena (ice-hall) there was an audience of 13 000, good atmosphere, nice lights, and the band played very good, the sounds were perfect. The concert would've been absolutely excellent, if they had played a few more of their classics, instead of playing the whole new album. It was still great though!

Photo TR: Jahan's Failed Attempt to pick up the Alvey's Wii!
Tömmioh replied to arrowfanman's topic in Random, Random, Random
That really sucks. You did the right thing Jahan, it's really unfair, and reminds me of when I had to return a concert ticket and had same kind of problems with stupid store managers. On a sidenote, I remember when the first EB games-shop opened in Finland, about 2 years ago, I remember being excited ie. when I looked for a game there, it costed 40$ even if it was 2 years old, in almost any another store you would've got it for less than 15$ and well there are also other things that I could complain about, don't wanna get too much off-topic. -
Cruising with Theme Park Review!
Tömmioh replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Great TR and captions ! That ship looks awesome, it was nice to see what's inside as I remember seeing Royal Carribean: Voyager of the Seas (I guess it's quite similar to this ship) been built in the harbor/docks here in Finland, and wondered what its interior looks like Nice to see you having fun. -
from the radio: Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up

Yeah I can't understand it either. One thing though that may have some effect on your time, is your keyboard's button configuration which is different in other countries, ie. on your button 's', there could be 'j' in another country. I 'scored' only 8.82.

Great TR! It's cool to see these non-theme park TRs, good stuff. Aaaah IKEA, nice memories... I should go to my nearest one, 1.2€ (1.5$) for a hotdog with unlimited amounts of soda. Also it's good that they (IKEA) have the Swedish names of the products, haven't translated them ie. Nöt Choklad is much funnier than Nut Chocolate or...

How to fill the void...
Tömmioh replied to BrownStreak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Snowblading is really great in Winter, especially a 'semi-off-ride' area on my nearest ski resort, as there are lots of made hills and turns, which pretty much gives the same experiences than on a coaster. Though, most of the time in Winter I have quite boring times. In terms of coasters, I watch some videos, look at pics and just 'dream'.
