  1. Great TR Dave! Entertaining and interesting read, with some random stuff that makes it even better. I strongly support the building of DaveWorld, that would be awesome! "Hermaphrodite Clowns that throw rabid badgers at you", sounds a lot more scary than a leathery dude with a chainsaw I hope the eye-operation goes well. Maybe they could get you a laser-shooting eye or the ability to like warm a cold cup of coffee by a strong look. Anyways, looking forward for more.
  2. Yeah, pictures of food are always fun to see, at least, if it's something a bit more special and exotic. Thanks for the tasty photos, they made me hungry!
  3. Awesome update! All of it. Always cool to see that everyone seems to have (who am I kidding?) has so much fun. We haven't got any Halloween events here, I should really get there sometime , also seeing as it's always(?) 'shorts-weather' in Florida, whereas it's dark, rainy, 35 F here. Anyway, great photos, captions and gangsta clubman
  4. ^^ Loefet: Do you live somewhere around Haparanda or the border? Anyhow, I think PowerPark opens a few days before May. The 1st of May, is a holiday. Feel free to Pm me if you need help etc. The only 'plan' I have for next year is to go on the Mini-Europe trip, as I've wanted to visit those parks for a long time, also I just couldn't manage to pay a whole trip this year, how much I wanted to , However if there's still room in May for Eastcoast or (Europe) then I might (try to) jump in. But that's just a wild theory atm. Also I really should drag my a$$ to Gröna Lund since I've passed Stockholm over 20 times ( usually a few times a year), never had the time to get there. Other than that I don't know yet. It also depends if I decide to go to the army or do a civil duty thing (it's mandatory in Finland) as the civil duty would start in August, army in January 09. I don't think I'll do many parks next year, unfortunately.
  5. We had it last week the night between Saturday and Sunday, I just woke up like usual in the morning, then after breakfast realized the issue, turned back the clock, had an hour 'extra' yay!, (however I would've slept that if I had remembered). So basically now the time difference from here is shorter to the US (or at least some parts?) until Sunday. That doesn't really mean or matter anything just thinking.
  6. 19th Feb 1989. US:Straight Up - Paula Abdul UK:Belfast Child - Simple Minds I've only seen/heard Abdul in American Idol, don't know anything about her songs, nor the UK song either!
  7. ^^ Here are some translations (my Swedish is as good as Finnish, if anyone is interested) , I'm not really sure about the pull-up thing, other than that it should be quite accurate. However, If something wrong, please feel free to correct it.
  8. Sun'll Shine (Sunrise remix) - Ohmna.
  9. Yay for random TR's! Nice and funny pics, like badcock and the 'dragqueen' hamster, it's cool. Looking forward to see the rest of this TR and more real nuts! plastic, edible, and human and edible-plastic-human ones!
  10. ^yes, in the Netherlands and in France and Germany you can drink beer and wine already when you're 16 ( spirits or " stronger things" when you're 18 ). Belgium's drinking age is 16. Also for the add-on, Austria's, Switzerland's and Hungary's drinking age is 18. So yes, basically if your 18 you can drink any alcholic beverages. Cell phone reception: sorry, can't respond to that because of USA having different phone frequency-line, network things than we here.
  11. That was a nice random TR I dunno why, but for some reason I find that priest-outfit very funny lol, and yay for tasty lasagne, should have some soon, but yeah thanks for the TR.
  12. ^ good one. ... Different Day, Different Light - Progression
  13. Great TR! Nice photos and lots of awesome captions and it was also cool to see some animals, like the turtle on the gator and the lemurs, enjoyable stuff !
  14. Our school system is a bit different also only time we have a mascot, is only like once a year at a big school athletic-contest event thing. In the school I was when 6-13 years, it was/is? Dynamite, yeah it really was. 13-16 yrs., Wasp 16-19 yrs., same^ as it's a part of the same complex, shares buildings etc.
  15. yeah, it was really rough and just awfully terrible, when I rode it. I hope those new seats and the lack of shoulder-, headbashing OTSR's will make the ride better, and it will be interesting to see if more SLC's will be getting those new seats and restraints.
  16. ^yeah me too, before I read that those rules doesn't apply to non-Muslims, and most of the people looked like Caucasians. Anyway, 100 beers that's a lot, and thanks for the photos!
  17. If I won that much I would: -Travel a lot and move away from Finland. -Build/get a few nice houses at different interesting places on Earth. -"Enjoy life" even a bit of luxury, would go and eat out more and do stuff that I couldn't do before. -Visit space. -Go to more concerts/gigs. -Start a restaurant -Give family and friends a small share. -Give a few millions to various charity foundations, that "work". -Save 100 million $
  18. Wow! That's sounds really cool and for anyone wondering 650MKr is about 95 M $, 47M £, 69M€. ^ good question, however I think the answer is just that "there lives more people near Stockholm" , although there's also around half a million people in an area, by the coast from Halmstad to Malmö, I think? Could it be that this idea/project have been sort of decided after they didn't let Gröna Lund build the Intamin accelerator and also seeing the park's lack of space? Anyways, it certainly seems interesting, thanks for the news!
  19. Hello everyone, I'm out a bit late again, visited Linnanmaki about 4 weeks ago for finally riding their new coaster, Kirnu. That was the only thing I did there; payed 5€-rode it, because I really didn't feel like paying 30€ to get a wristband. I'll get there in October again when they have their "lightweeks" with a lot cheaper entry and stuff. The ride was good, you felt vulnerable when hanging outside in the air and the drop really felt in your stomach, a bit like on drop towes and the ride was smooth and it had great new Intamin OTSR's. The bad thing about the ride is.... yes, it's too short, but that's the city council fault as the park wanted to get a TWICE as high version, but the city-planning division thing said no Anyway, here's some photos: Enjoy! Closer to home at Tikkurila, I walk hereby like every other day, and no this isn't a webcam. Just included because of the intaminesque 'track' and to say... Thanks for reading! Should've thrown the 2.50€ in here instead. Did I mention that it was worse than... ok, not really, but bad, I mean BAD Had a slush, which was awful it was called something like Limoceta? and tasted like cheap lemonjuice, with a hint of pee and shabby, distilled after-shave. Ok, one more. More of the backside of the coaster, I'll stop now until she gets embarrassed. Ooo baby. Am I the only one worrying this will step up and run away sometime to it's brother/sister/hermafrodite/whatever at Terra Mítica. The best surprise of the day, these awesomely comfortable and soft non-hurting restraints. This is for all the Über nerdy coastergeeks, yeah I know I could've zoomed in a bit more blahbla... I like this shot. I like to lick my toes. A new addition for 2007, mirror maze! woo!! !!woo !ezam rorrim ,7002 rof noitidda wen A This photo reminds me of "Chocolate Heaven" a former tasty, indulging, über yummy dessert in the leftside "Jungledrum" restaurant, however I only got it once, then they took it off the menu and thus suck. Funky forms and the only inversion, which "effects" vary slightly, depending on the weight distribution of the car, No, that's not my albinofinger. The non- squeeky wheel and the flip, soon to be released skateboarding dvd. Nah, this hopefully a bit more interesting. The ride was testing when I got there, it opened after about 5 minutes thuogh. Next 25 pictures of the cheese ball wheel, until my lucky number wins. There you go. That's all. Thanks for reading! Plop! and I'm inside park, magic eh? Also if Finland flooded this park could sail away, with those nice masts. A crappy Mack Fun-coaster, yeah that's all. Almost there. On the way to the park I picked up some birds. Yay, getting closer. In Pasila, Turn left btw. Böle is the Swedish name for the place and asema means station as the Swedish name suggests. Hartwall Arena, Finland's largest ice-hall with 14'000 seats. YO! Some badass graffiti, random tags. The train towards my destination was really empty.
  20. Nice TR!! I've been wondering what like Lake Winnepesaukah looked like, when I heard it's name the first time, so it was cool to see some good photos. The place with the trails and the rocks by the mountain looked beautiful aswell as the cave waterfall and yay, for loving ice-cream ! now that made me hungry!
  21. Nearest city: Tikkurila, 4 miles away Nearest big city: Helsinki, 15 miles away Nearest multimillion city: St.Petersburg, Russia, 226 miles away
  22. Congratulations Big Mike! 500 is quite a bit, I hope you feel happy and proud and, keep cool, although please don't ask for so many comments when you hit your 600th coaster , just kidding.
  23. Coasters I could have done if I hadn't been such a wimp until about 3 years ago: HangOver-Liseberg Limit - Heide-Park Big Loop - Heide-Park Space Mountain - DLP Indiana Jones - DLP Coasters I've missed by accident or not: Zipper Dipper - BPB, somehow forgot to ride it when in Teeny Weeny - Tusenfryd Circus Clown - Oakwood- didn't have time to Big Apple - Lightwater Valley - didn't have time to Coasters, parks I've just gone past but didn't have time to go: BonBonland in '04 saw Vildsvinets lifthill, but yeah -didn't have time to, same goes with Hansa Park same year, saw the sign for it and drove by. Tivoli Gardens same year, didn't have time for Odinekspressen or Karavanen. The spinning coaster at Blackpool South Pier - yeah you guessed right, lack of time. So, I've missed some credits, which is a bit of a shame, but hmmm..
  24. Yeah, I totally agree and understand that (I am "thx") that's also one of the reasons I post more here. Anyways, my first coaster-site was Roller Coaster Headquarters, www.rchq.net , I don't really know why.
  25. There should be an own Photo Trip Report Archive for this PTR alone, this is just historical (for the trash cans, to finally get some recognition). And absolutely pant-wetting fun. Lovin' it.
