  1. Update! I went to the city today, on the way I took some photos of Kirnu-the new coaster, it's already complete from what I can tell, but I couldn't see the station, because of its 'hidden location'. Anyways, Here are some photos. Tilted, slightly over the middle of the photo, you can see a wheel-sort of thing, which I guess, is a roulettewheel sideways or a liftwheel, you decide! Thanks for reading! mmm... Nice curvy bits and a blurry dragon's head. That sounds almost like a japanese coaster's name translation. The ride from the side, through the fence. Closer with a guy, working on the track?, drinking instant low caffeine coffee?, counting his fingers? or whatever, still it features trees. Closer. You can clearly see Kirnu's big chunky tubular feet, which are good to store Pringles-tubes in. the obligatory, THROUGH THE TREES!!- shot. Zoomed in, a bit. In the middle of this mostly brown, grey dull mass, with random erect pipes and trees, you can see a new colourful structure.
  2. Big Juicy Bump! Update! Finally some track and supports have arrived. It's a newspaper flash file, the pic is on the 12th page in the upper left corner. You have to click on the right hand arrows until you find it. http://www.vartti.fi/static/kl/vartti/nakoislehti/2007/03/04/HC/index.html The park opens in 8 weeks so they should start construction really soon now, if they want it to be open for then. By the way: Kirnu, is Finnish (surprise, surprise) and means an old (was/is mainly used in farms by the countryside), often wooden bowl type of thing in which you blend, 'stab' cream until it becomes butter.
  3. I did also think expect it to have more fantasy in it, because of the trailer, but it was still very good though.
  4. Congratulations to you guys! , and Happy Birthday Kristen! Nice to hear it all went well.
  5. ^ yeah, I did also watch and like a show I think was called "Divorce court", when it was on TV here. Yup. And some songs like Celine-Dion's Power of love, My heart will go on and Britney Spears' Baby one more time, lol. Also bubblegum from bubblegum vendors, machines. There's much more, but can't remember just now.
  6. ^ yeah, it was 15€ (~19.8$) for 10 minutes, but yeah not worth it imo, even if they say it's 'world class', mainly because the (finnish) former formule 1 driver Mika Salo has designed it. Janster: btw. If you need any information, help about Finland etc. feel free to pm/e-mail me.
  7. Pan's Labyrinth I liked it, there was less fantasy than I expected though and it was more darker than I would've thought, still good though 8.5/10 Waterboy Saw it on TV a few days ago. It was bad, and predictable (well I didn't expect much of it either, actually one can't expect much of a film where Rob Schneider 'appears'), but quite funny, so it was actually (almost) worth watching.
  8. Soccer is the best. The other ones are also quite nice to watch/some to play, except for "football" and any Car racing imo.
  9. Happy Birthday TPR!! I've had a great time here, been a member for over a year. Can't see myself quit browsing these forums in a while. As many of you had nicely said already, it's the fun, laid-back atmosphere what makes this site or forums better compared to other coastersites. Yeah. I've had an awesome time so far, hopefully (almost definately) it will continue thanks to R&E and All of you members.
  10. I don't know if it's just me, but Thorpe's Vortex was really good (though I've only been on it once), other favourites include that ^^^^model Freakout, rode it last year in Czech Rep. the program was really great, but almost too spinny. Also the in-and-out-house frisbee at PowerPark is also one of my favourites. I'd love to try a HUSS Giant Frisbee sometime.
  11. Great Video once again! That video brings up some nice memories. LOL at the greenmonster ending. Good Job!

  13. Poseidon at Europa Park and Vampire at Chessington WoA have both quite a nice, themed station.
  14. Have a happy, good, fun, enjoyable and rememberable Birthday Jahan !
  15. I've only been on BPB's Avalanche, the Schweizer Bobbahns in both Heide- and Europa Park. Heide Park's is clearly the best, as it's longer and more fun.
  16. Here's some random ones. e.g. 'Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster' at USF. Nuthouse coaster, I mean if people are allergic to nuts, that's a terrible insult to them! also if they are nuts then it's even worse 'Ravine Flyer 3' at Waldameer. There's no/have been no Ravine Flyer 2, so why's this the 3rd then? also there's hardly no ravine around either, but hey there's hardly no dragons around Steel Dragon 2000, ok, except for some people's sidepersonalities, or should I say draconian halfs... 'Navel coaster' at Shibukawa Skyland, with trains themed to shoes?, most likely meaning that you (should) kick people in their navels/belly buttons?! Not very appropiate if you ask me. 'Panic Drive' at Nasu Highland Park. Oh, and how could I forget the 'See Through Coaster' at Kamine Park
  17. Had no school today, because a part of the class we're going on a extra course to hear some lectures stuff, so there was no point teaching the "leftovers" at school anything new=free day I did also go to the Intl. Travel Fair in the city, it was nice. Later I also had a real good 'Bonusplatter' -steak at a gasstation, and overall it's been a great day today.
  18. Wow, that is so weird. You know, we(in south Finland) have only had snow for a total of 3 weeks from Fall -> now, usually we would have had snow for a total of over 11 weeks so far... They've forecasted a bit warmer for the end of the week, which looks like the snow here would melt, and at the same time it (maybe) snows, half way down (south) the globe in SoCal! that is just bizzarre and 'spooky'.
  19. I'm 75 % Finnish(ed) and 25 % German and also very very little Romanian, African (dunno which country, because the ancestor was very distant) and Russian.
  20. ^ I've also seen that one, it was good. Also it's actually the only show, episode completely about coasters that I'ver ever seen on TV. I think it was a documentary from Discovery called... *drumroll* Rollercoasters! , it was pretty scientific, and they did also talk to some Arrow's coasterdesigners (it wasn't owned by S&S, back then).
  21. That looks cool. I've always dreamt of a big coaster on the school yard, well that's not so big, but still quite nice, thanks for sharing!
  22. Last sport event I attended was on 9/6/2006 Soccer: Finland - Portugal euro 2008 qualification game, the result was 1-1, we were actually closer to win. It was a nice game and the atmosphere was great with over 40'000 (that's full capacity) at the Olympic Stadium.
  23. Happy Birthday Robb! Have a really good day, enjoy it with delicious food, drinks, lots of fun etc. and party on!
  24. -Hit my 100th coaster (should be done on the Spain trip) -finally get to Gröna Lund -finally get to ride an inverting coaster at Linnanmäki (they hade a Katapult 1992-93). hopefully: - ride Estonia's only coaster, lol - do some smaller parks in Sweden and/or Denmark - Tusenfryd
  25. It was ages ago since I last posted here, so here's a fresh one: me.
