^ Agreed about high school sucking! I was new wave/punk so most of the bullies were scared of me (they all thought I was on drugs.) The only kid who tried to come out in my school, however; was expelled. No being the vanguard for me there - just getting crapped on. I got involved in my 20's. David

Pretty much, although I'll throw in the RX-7 and Audi Quattro as food for thought. No MR-2 love? And just realized VWVortex is his website. Silly me. MR2 - 2001 was the year Okay, I'm biased and it is the MOST impractical car I have ever owned, but my SPYDER is one of my favorite things in the world and I will drive it until the wheels fall off, buy new wheels, and drive it some more.

^ I agree. I love the show, but the last episode lacked something for me... Not very peppy either. Freaking LOVED the Santana scene "I got razor blades hidden in my hair..."

Jeremie - remind me to ride the Cyclone with you this summer . Actually, I agree with you about not changing it, but the Cyclone is...well, it''s amazing but BRUTAL! One back seat ride you'll see what I mean. I'll definitely ride it as many times as possible because it is wild, out of control and kind of scary, but pain killers will be in order. David

Hang in there buddy. You have a whole life in front of you! Stay true to yourself, but do what you need to do to get by with your family. Once you get out on your own, you are going to find the most AMAZING friends and AMAZING loves. This situation sucks, I know - but hopefully; the knowledge that things get MUCH better can get you through it. Keep the faith and welcome to the family!

They're removing the Mad Mouse immediately? I thought there was word they were keeping it up til the end of the season.... That is the impression that I got, but I have NO idea - not an authority here, I could (hopefully) be wrong. I loved that mouse. -

^ A HUGE "Best Wishes!" to the happy couple, and a HUGE thanks to Divv for letting us attend via TPR! What a LOVELY wedding day! Traditional, yet imaginative! I adore the train idea for dinner. That is simply awesome. You all looked great! David -

Quassy Amusement Park Discussion Thread

This looks like the perfect sized family coaster for Quassy, and I do have to say that the Timberliners look sexy! To give it the Ultimate in classic woodie feeling, I'd love to see it painted white with chaser lights along the course. All though the Mad Mouse it is replacing was CRAZY...this looks like a better fit for the park. David -

Brandy - at least a chocolateless chocolate festival is better than the "Rattlesnake Roundup" at a town near us. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your tastes) this one is not snakeless...there are tons. We also have the Vidalia Onion festival near here - I here that one is pretty cool. Your trip report has now encouraged me to go to the local events like this and post TR's. David -

^Damn! I was totally going to post this - 42 years ago - copywrighted and watermarked. Anywho - it's cool to see a unique element on ANY coaster. Eurofighters seem to be able to pull off just about any maneuver that a designer can come up with. It will be cool to see the cars going through the track. D -

^ headbanging aside, it is a pretty cool coaster. I always ride when I go (and usually one of the seats we are specifying.) To me, they are kind of like "non-wheel" seats on PTC's. I do like the corkscrews over the water - just wish that my ears didn't bleed afterwards I'll be taking my annual spin on it on Easter -

First post of the thread: Speaking of GASM, I was not even expecting pleasant surprise of the night #2: Ninja! Sure, this ride is notorious for its roughness, but since discovering the "magic seat," the front row in the back car, all of my rides on Ninja have been nothing less than enjoyable. The reason I mentioned Ninja with such great detail is that, upon arriving to the ride, I noticed a blue train on the track. It didn't look like a wrap, because there weren't any logos on it. As it turns out, it wasn't a wrap at all; it was something much more unexpected, and honestly, I had a little geek-out moment. See the pictures below to figure out why. Legend has it...that the front row of the back car (see above) on a Vekoma looper will not make you want to die. David -
It is an extremely rare disorder, but it is called potnonomicaphobia. This is the fear of any type of potato product. This comes from www.foodaq.com. It referrs to any fear of potatoes, but mostly applies to mashed. D

Thanks for posting these Brandy! The girls are adorable! The crowds...not so much . The spin-n-puke looks like a SCAT2. Robb has video of the old one at Beech Bend somewhere on the site. Were there at least chocolate Dippin' Dots available? -

I think he was refering to GASM at SFGAdv living on at SFOG (the train on Ninja). Oops - I misunderstood. Apologies. -

^ GASM at SFoG is an old PTC woodie that sits on the lake. It is still living, unlike it's namesake in New Jersey.
