Six Flags America (SFA) Discussion Thread
jynx242 replied to Mind Eraser's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It doesn't seem like they are doing ERT and such. It's been my experience, that more coaster enthusiasts will show for an event if it actually includes riding coasaters. Not complaining or putting them down - it's cool that they are doing something, just sayin'. David -

Dude - sometimes I just don't understand people! Sorry you are having to go through anything like this. You're a damned nice fella and just don't deserve it. David -
At this point, all I can say is that this is a very unfortunate incident. That looks like it hurt. As far as negligence and such - we definitely don't have enough information to judge (plus - we aren't judges .) As far as the Small World incident - I'm sure that there are some serious ADA rules about that. Once again, not being a judge or lawyer - can't really comment on any legal aspect about a case. I can say, although I don't hate It's a Small World - 40 minutes of that song would probably drive me a bit psychotic.

^ I thought they did an AMAZING job on Fat Bottomed Girl! Puck was just freaking amazing and sexy and awesome! I love the fact that she keeps shooting him down.
-
^ That fight scene was AMAZING! We were hooting and hollering about it for a while! The PYT cover was "okay." If any of the cast is going to try Michael Jackson, Artie is the one. And Mike Chan's dancing to it was awesome.

^ Knew this was coming . Steve - I think people that haven't chatted with you as much here (or in person for that matter) don't get your sense of humor. I totally get what you are saying and kind of agree. I don't think it looks cheap as much as it looks WTF? I'm still totally psyched to ride it. Perhaps they left the wooden structure up primarily for the visual aspect of the ride. There is a tremendous difference between flying around and between a few steel support poles, and flying and swooping through all of the lumber. Not really sure - just throwing it out there. David

Looks great but cold! I was, however, hoping for a wee-tiny 90 degree turn though . David -
Photo TR: {RtW} visits Valleyfair

^ The SUPERCRAZYWHITEMINNESOTAN!! Thanks for posting this TR by the way. I really, REALLY enjoyed Valleyfair this summer. It was not what I expected at all, and I mean that I was pleasantly suprised! David -
Mitch Hawker 2010 poll
jynx242 replied to Skycoastin Steve's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Got my confirmation yesterday. Took about a week. Question - My e-mail from Mitch said they only had 322 ballots. Do you think that meant 322 ballots a week ago when I sent mine, or currently lagging that far behind? Just curious - I always love these polls and hope to see as much information going into them as possible. D. -
^ She totally knocked it out of the park! I was uber-impressed!

Riders per Hour

^ I've seen the Intimidator crew just completely kick a$$. As far as FireBorg, well - those seats and the restraints...You guys were doing good at 500 pph. That hooker assimilated my phone on the Deep South Tour. -
YOU SHOULD TOTALLY COME!! Goliath is awesome, but for me: MINDBENDER is where it's at. Classic custom Schwartzkopf, built down the side of a steep hill, waterfalls, tunnel, loops, crazy fake loop inverted helix thingy, airtime on a steelie looper, cool acid-green color scheme...mmmmm. Easter can't get here soon enough.

Mitch Hawker 2010 poll

Zamboni, FYI. I'm really looking forward to El Toro again this summer. On the East Coast tour, I love love loved it, but it didn't blow me away like it does almost every other person I know. When you live with someone who has ElToroextreme as his screen name, he just doesn't see it. I was told it wasn't running well that morning. Whatever, it is still an AMAZING coaster and I'm hopeful it will blow my socks off this summer. -
I see The King's Speech taking a ton. Just look at the cast!

^ I was just joking with you. I got the reference . Now - everybody needs to come to Georgia to go to SFoG with me on Easter Sunday. It's my annual Gay Old Time at Six Flags for my birthday. You do not need to be gay to join in, however...I love everyone.

^^ Once you get Veneers, you can't have them removed. You have to have your original teeth ground down to have the Veneers applied over them.

Mitch Hawker 2010 poll
jynx242 replied to Skycoastin Steve's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Finished mine! I'll say it also - Voyage made me its bitc# and I love it. It throws me around like a rag-doll, and my crazy a$$ loves it. However, the added brutality this year did drop it from my number one status. I like it rough and out of control, but I felt I needed a "safety word" this summer . Hades was the biggest disappointment to me this year. It was truly unbearable (other than the Psychotic trip under the parking lot) this summer. Two of my favorites have gotten even too rough for me. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Timberliners work out on Voyage though. Boulder Dash does it now. It's my #1 David -

Photo TR: Hanno joins the Middle America Trip
jynx242 replied to Hhappy's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
To echo everyone else Hanno, thanks for the pictures. They are amazing. That was an AMAZING day (except for the trip ending and all that...) The weather had finally cooled off a bit. I was totally suprised (happily so) by Valleyfair. Amazing little park and a polar opposite from it's big sister in Ohio. David -
Still an organ doner ^ Tyler - funny that you posted after me. I sold blood plasma at BAMA to buy the beer that I was speaking of. Yay for the Tuscaloosa Plasmapherisis Center. D

^ Um - okay? She's great so RAVE ON! ^^ The way I think of Georgia - Atlanta, Savannah and Athens = AWESOME GEORGIA. The rest of the state, not so much . Atlanta isn't called the San Francisco of the South for nothing, you know.
