  1. As long as it is reinforced to withstand mortar attacks is should be fine . Truthfully, it seems to be an odd place and time for a new roller-coaster. I am not an expert on the modern day culture in Iraq, but things seem to be a "bit" unsettled at the moment. David
  2. ^^ Brent - are you referring to the Asian "Audition" by Takashi Miikee? If so - all of his movies are just freaking insane!
  3. Thanks so much for taking the time to make this Trip Report. Little parks like this make me happy!
  4. Although sad, abandoned parks like this are Delightfully creepy! Thanks for the photos and the info. David
  5. I watched the show "Bridalplasty" last night. How awesomely EVIL is that show! It is like "The Swan" but they dangle plastic surgery and a dream wedding in front of these chicks - the eliminate them! AWESOME
  6. ^ No Deborah or Tiffany. It had "stupid drunk indian" and "flat girl." The movie right after it, "The Bone Eater" (still laughing at that one) was also pretty epic! D.
  7. Thanks for posting these. I remember when I worked food service at SFoG in the 80's. During October and November we would bring out vastly different menu offerings. It was always fun and a great way to end a season on a positive and fun note. David
  8. I "sparked up" when I read Elissa's suggestion of Hades. Although the tunnel is still apocalyptic, the rest was truly, truly BRUTAL! Unfortunately, Mount Olympus would never spend the money to do this. I doubt they would even spend the cash on Timberliners. Robb mentioned in another thread that the SFoG Cyclone would be a good candidate. You wouldn't even need to re-profile it. It was AMAZING and still delivers just insane airtime. It just makes your ears bleed and your ribs puncture vital organs. David
  9. Organizing financing for next year's trip (NorthEast.) Finishing all of the home projects that did not get done during to heat / travel this summer Hang out with my friends / family / roomates (4 TPR people live in my house.) Perhaps make the 4 hour drive to Orlando for some rides if the withdrawal gets too great.
  10. ^^Robb, I TOTALLY agree! There are plenty of coasters that were EPIC in their day - and this would be awesome (providing it works like it should.) The SFoG Cyclone, with that amazing airtime, but without broken/brused ribs... Amazing. Or coasters like The Boss, that seem to have an amazing and huge layout, but are just plain painful. D.
  11. I have to chime in and say, that like others, I had an absolute BLAST on Saturday. There were four (4) of us in my living room on laptops just cracking up and posting in the chat room. It got to the point where we were laughing out loud, but actually talking to each other in chat. Let's hear it for a TPR Live Chat Party! David
  12. TPR and the trips they provide that now consume my vacation time, bank account and thoughts! The awesome friends I've made from the trips and the fact that two of them travelled to my house for Thanksgiving. ANTON! Mindbender @ SFoG (nothing more needs to be said!) David
  13. I'm going to be 40 in a few months. Freaking out.
  14. Renegade and Prowler were amazing at night
  15. TPR Movie Chats will save the off season!! Also - have Theme Park Review people move in with you...then travel to Florida often. No problem
  16. I'm eager to see this thing run the course. It could be AMAZING! I truly, truly hope this works!
  17. I'd rather have my spine ripped out and be beaten with it!
  18. The Fireball is my ABSOLUTE favorite flat ride. We were at the Coastal Empire Fair and rode the one there 4 or 5 times. Without shoulder harnesses - epic! Great job! David Especially love them with the strobes and lights working and loud music. I remember the first time I rode one, it actually made me nervous, and Chemical Brothers was playing! Just awesome.
  19. Just quoted this because I like it and agree. David
  20. At this point it seems like flogging a dead horse. Really - it's sad to see, but it happened. They need to (as someone mentioned above) sell off what they can - recycle the rest - and do something else with the property. I never like to see a park go down - but at this point, this seems like a lost cause. David
  21. Thanks ever so much Hanno! As always, I love your pictures. I had a BLAST that day, but truly almost melted Those sprayers (they weren't misters - they were like garden hoses set on Shower) were lifesaving! D. City Museum = AWESOME I was only bruised from falling through the re-bar whale outside of the caves - and the airplanes just totally freaked me out. It was whilst crawling through those that I realized exactly what I was doing.
  22. This year I made it to Halloween Horror Nights at USF, Howl-o-Scream at BGT, and Phobia at Wild Adventures. I'll post pictures as soon as I can find them. david
  23. ^ The first picture reminds me of David Bowie from Labyrinth (which is an AWESOME thing!) Really like the outfit!
  24. Word! Flying out of Savannah is just expensive, but the alternative of driving to Jacksonville or Atlanta takes extra time and gas and ends up working out. Sucks. David
  25. Watch the "reimagining" of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari last night. Pretty cool, for art house cinema. They filmed current actors in black and white, then put them against the original 1917 silent film backdrops to re-tell the story told in the original film, but with words. Pretty neat.
