I personally like LOGO. The A-List was such a train wreck that I couldn't stop watching it. That being said, I don't actually watch it that often. When I do, it is not for the lighter fare gay movies. It is for the shows like 1 girl 5 gays. At 40, I do remember a time when a television network (even cable) geared towards gay people would have been a joke. I consider the "movies" they show to be rather bland (especially when edited for television,) but I still love the fact that there is a network (and the requisite advertisers) that is catering to an LGBT audience. For movies, IMDB and Netflix have shown me wonderful movies like Strapped, A Beautiful Thing, Bear Cub, Shank, Release, A Four Letter Word, etc... And for the record...I absolutely LOVE RuPauls Drag Race! There is nothing wrong with being a rather sterotypical gay guy. I take care of myself, love to cook, throw amazing dinner parties and can shop like a demon. I can also work on a car, restore a house and listen to whatever damn music I please from Lady Gaga and Madonna, to the Sisters of Mercy and Pansy Division. It saddens me that "sterotypical" gay guys are treated like pariahs by their own community . Oh well, I'm here, I'm queer - deal with it

I really enjoyed Shockwave, but Mindbender is just simply amazing. It really doesn't do for me to compare them though...they are both awesome but so very, very different. Mindbender's use of the terrain (going over the side of that hill) makes it rate in my top 10. Some nostalgia there, but it is so unique in it's layout and setting that I would prefer it regardless. Thanks guys for the amazing pictures though. Any Anton is good Anton for me

I just Googled him. Pants should never be an option for him. If I'm not mistaken, there is a LOVELY scene of him without pants on in "Eating Out Two: Sloppy Seconds"

Carowinds Discussion Thread

I do have to say, however, that Carowinds has just a generally better "feel" than KD to me. KD has some superior rides, but I always just seem to end the day happier and in a better mood after a visit to Carowinds. I can't say what it is, but the name Kings Depression comes to mind whenever I think of the two parks. I just really, really like Carowinds. -
^ hair looks good and I like you with a bit of "scruff." Looking good!

I'm in exactly the same situation. I was in the opposite situation, and it hasn't gone well He loved being on the trip this summer...just with everyone else but me. I'd told him he would meet awesome people, and he did. Liked their company better than mine . Oh well - we live, we learn. Perhaps we'll reconcile - I still love him, but if not...Single and READY TO MINGLE!

I simply loved Canobie. What a just plain fun day it was there. The employees were amazing, the Cannonball was a really fun woodie, Untamed was great and the park was awesome. I liked the catepillar since you could see all the springs and arms and such that made the canopy cover it. -
^^ They didn't change the themeing on the actual ride. They just re-themed (badly) the entrance. I am of the opinion that these incidents are due to riders having loose objects on the trains. I've ridden DD countless times over the past 10 years and have never seen or experienced an incident. I understand Universal's reaction, but will still say that it SUCKS.

^ A lot of my friends are using the patch that you place behind your ear. People who would get ill looking at a flat ride can now ride Gravitrons without issue as far as motion sickness. I've found that as I've gotten older - I can still do a FULL TPR trip with a pretty intense schedule if I just take my time. When I was younger I was running to each ride and re-riding it as many times as possible. Nowadays - I get water/gatorade between rides and just take my time. I still get to ride everything I want, and I have more time to enjoy the parks! -
^ THIS. Your "gay family" or support network is CRUCIAL. You absolutely need a small group of people who have been through or who are going through what you are going through to lift you up in the times of sadness or sorrow. When I was afraid of coming out, a "gay godparent" told me that if, in fact, I did lose biological family because of coming out - I was gaining a HUGE family in the process.

^Pretty much sums up my trip there in 2008. I've heard that they were turning things around, but this debunks that rumour . Glad you got to ride Supes though. David
