Disneyland the monday of presidents day weekend
RCFreak replied to Kyle Coleman's topic in Ask Alvey
It'll be busy! Nothing like the chaos that will bestow the Resort this week, but it'll still be busy none-the-less. Hour+ for most of the biggies. Remember to get there EARLY and use Fastpass as much as possible if you do go. -
While their suits are a little more high tech, I can't help but compare them to Poreotics performance last year. I'll definitely head over to the Resort and catch them perform. And can I just say I FREAKING love that Disney brings all these amazing dance crews to perform. I really hope whatever they come up with to replace ElecTRONica in the future is worthy of all the cool things Disney has done with this.

NEWS: Terra Mitica lives in limbo
RCFreak replied to Airtime&Gravity's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's a shame this park is in such peril, it was a fantastic park (despite the extreme lack of shade) with some really great theming around. Plus it has the amazing Labyrinth of the Minotaur! -
Kennywood (KW) Discussion Thread
RCFreak replied to DenDen's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
On the one hand, the loss of Pittfall is sad, but I *LOVE* Frisbee type rides (giant or not) so Good Job Kennywood! -
Haha Hipster approved! or maybe not since it's so corporate (you know as they drink their Starbucks lol). I haven't been to Universal during a normal day of operation in at least five years, this would definitely change that. Plus I just heard they are continuing the "Buy a day get a year" for 2012 so it would be very easy to see Universal's attendance get a little boost this upcoming year.

West Coast Bash 2012! TICKETS ON SALE NOW!
RCFreak replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So freaking excited for this, It's always a fantastic weekend and it's always fun hanging out with old friends and meeting new ones! -
Honestly I would normally agree with you, but I think with both Universal and Sea World (and even SFMM to an extent) getting new attractions next year, Knott's will take a hit. Not anything substantial, but I definitely think that people (local families) thinking of heading to Disneyland for Carsland might head to SWSD or USH having new attractions over Knott's with nothing terribly new.

Men in Black 3 (in 3D) comes out next year... And I'm pretty sure like Star Wars, Fan fiction will keep the brand alive for a long time to come especially with how easy it is to self publish books these days. And of course the eventual special Anniversary re-releases of the movies in a few years in theaters, and the special edition re-releases of the movies on DVD/ Blu-Ray/ Mind meld, and the eventual "re-imagining/ reboot" of the movies. It's typical Hollywood.

This does not make me happy for heading into work today. Greta job on the TR Chuck, I had fun re-living a lot of the trip through your pictures. I should try and make a TR soon. -

Cruising with Theme Park Review 2011
RCFreak replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Man this was such an AMAZING time, my thanks goes out to Elissa, Robb, and everyone else who was on the cruise for making such a great first cruise for me. I never thought I would be a cruise person, but I'm already looking forward to my next one! -
The Ray's do HHN, Haunts, and Fright Fest!

Man, I am one Klassy (with a "K!") Broad! Haha I hope I didn't scar that kid in line for Sleepy hollow for life! Although I don't think it did much damage as the event itself had tons of bodies ripped in half with their intestines hanging out all over the place and the story only involved one guy and a glass jar (AND I don't think I even used profanities!) haha I had a blast that night though, I can't wait to hang out with you guys again. -
Fixed that for me. More Corona then Bud-light (but both at every family party) sounds like this will be a hit out on the West Coast (which is mostly Booze Cruises that sell anyway, right?) with the Latino crowd. In other news, I'm so FUCKING excited for my first cruise (AND it's NOT on Carnival) in 11 days!
