  1. When I worked there in 2004, those trims were controlled by the ride op in the control booth, and it had everything to do with weather (cold and windy days particularly), if the trains were running slow, we would open the trims. I want to say if the train took 56 seconds or longer from the time it left the lift to the time it hit the block by the lift we would open them up, but it's been a while so my number might be off.
  2. Tickets bought, It's official I'll be there!
  3. Freaking AWESOME TR William! I've always wanted to see how a firework show was put together; this is a great start, especially a hand lit one, I'd assumed they were all electronic at this point from a show and safety stand point.
  4. I'm far more excited for this year's Haunt line up then last years! I hope Knott's can work with TPR again and put together a great event like last year. I'm thinking if Trapped isn't too insanely priced I might give it a go in late September for my Birthday as well.
  5. Ah ok, thanks for the correction. I was there in 2006 and thought I saw it there. Guess it's on the way back haha.
  6. Wait, doesn't Warner Brother Movie World have Shrek 4-D already?
  7. As a not so frequent visitor, where in the park is the Herc/Xena area being discussed?
  8. ^They're not what I was expecting (A Mariachi band doing covers of metal songs instead of a Mariachi/Metal band), You can hear "Rainbow in the Dark" on their website, but I FUCKING LOVE their logo! My first tattoo? Not cause of the band, but because it's just awesome.
  9. Let's do something crazy. For the next 24 hours, I will match $1 for $1 any donations made to my page ("But Hector, that shiz has been done before!") OK, then I'll sweeten the deal, I'll also match an additional $1 to the person of your choice (just PM me a name, including yourself or even me!) and if you, the donator, are under $75 and want to actually participate, I'll donate both dollars to your page. Now I'm not made of money so there is a cap, but let's see if we hit it by the time 24 hours is up!
  10. Right, because White people don't tag or do any of that stuff. And that will be my only comment on that subject entirely. Manta looks like a winner for Sea World San Diego! Not sure if I'll be able to make it down there this year, but I'm glad we got yet another great looking attraction in the busy So Cal market this year.
  11. Looks like an excellent addition! Consider me one of the people that was skeptical of Lego's potential success due to it's location, but I'm very happy to see them very successful in Florida!
  12. A couple of random thoughts. Pretty sure Bud Light is the "gayest" beer out there. Also throw my hat into the ring that say the picture of Elissa holding KidTums is Elissa's old address. BRUNO! haha oh the Angry Dragon. I'm so very jealous of this trip you guys had! I know the Theater scene is kinda Meh in LA, but it's the best I can do on a budget, so I look forward to it coming out here on tour.
  13. Correct, I guess I should have said I enjoy more physical set interaction? Again, this is a great attraction that is definitely putting USH in the right direction with another top of the line attraction. I only prefer Spider-Man slightly more because of the story (and real fire! When it works... haha) but I'm VERY glad to have this only 90 minutes away.
  14. I was there a few weeks ago and it was all working fine. *shrug* I agree Indy is in dire need of a lengthy rehab, but I still MUCH prefer the more physical sets (and interactions) to the movie screens with a couple of props around them. Again not to knock the ride, it's still a GREAT attraction and I can't wait to ride it again! Maybe in the fall when I head back to Halloween Horror Nights this year.
  15. ^An Energon Screwdiver wouldn't be half bad as it just tasted like Orange cream soda to me. To each his own I suppose, but I headed out to the park again yesterday before the craziness of Summer actually hits and I cannot agree with this statement. I still prefer Indy (and even Spider-Man) over this attraction, while the ride falls just short of being truly amazing for me. Ended up getting another three rides on it and it was pretty much the same as the three rides I got back in April which again were awesome. The ride had a wait time of about 35 minutes when we finally got down to the Lower Lot around 12:30 and thankfully the line keeps moving and the pre-show videos were entertaining enough to keep you occupied the few times you weren't though they did keep shutting the audio off to make ride safety announcements that totally killed the atmosphere. About 2:00, the line died down to walk-on for the rest of the day. I am also VERY happy to say that USH has a winner on their hands. I took my brother, who doesn't do ANY type of roller coaster, and he was absolutely in love with the ride as well as my sister who likes rides but loved this as well. It was also non-stop praise from people who were exiting the ride.
  16. Boooo.... I don't know my schedule technically passed this week.
  17. Yeah, I'm OK with a small increase here and there but like Chris said, $150 more!? Yikes, may have to really rethink a Premium Pass next year, even with monthly payments, that's still $54 a month!
  18. Well I'd let this Gunter explore my black forest. Looks like a great ride and I can't wait to try it out at East Coast Bash (As well as my first time to this Busch Gardens!)
  19. More uptime leaving mechanics to do more important thing like fixing things that are actually broken?
  20. The more I hear about this the more I hate it.
  21. I'm so tempted to head out as well only for the chaos! But I have no idea what my schedule will be by that point.
  22. It's simple, theme the ride to an oasis, surround the ride platform with water and tilting seats for the "dive" off of a giant Palm Tree. Nah they're on crack.
  23. I didn't even know about the Ralph's thing until now haha, I'm so out of the loop.
