^They were Yesterday. ^^^ From what I overheard, they want to have it open as much as possible before the big grand opening to work out any kinks and avoid lengthy downtime after it officially opens.

I felt the same way after my trip in 2006! Lethal Weapon was terrible then, So I can only imagine how it rode up to last year, but this looks like a great improvement on the ride experience.

I got to ride it today three times and it could have been many more if I didn't want to catch a few other things before having to head out early. I saw them pulling out the technical rehearsal signs while I was waiting in line to buy my pass so look for them out front as well as throughout the park. I have to mostly agree with Joey's assessment of the ride, I did miss the interaction of physical props (and real fire ), but this is the West Coast's Spider-man through and through and man does it feel sorely needed at USH. The story is pretty on par with the rest of Universal's other rides, but man this is a fun ride. The basic plot is you are recruits needed for a mission with NEST, things go wrong during training and your deployed on EVAC as Human Navigators to lead EVAC in protecting the AllSpark. This is a massive queue that should be a welcome relief in the summer as it seems most of the queues for USH's rides are mostly outdoor! The AllSpark! The queue is well themed and pretty elaborate for outside of a Disney park in SoCal. Plenty of TV screens in each of the rooms to help the wait go by quicker and to set up the ride's theme. Scorponok's tail! Ribbed for her pleasure. Move out recruits, the Decepticon's are attacking the City! Our training has to be cut short, our help is needed! EVAC needs our help to Navigate, let's go! Dual loading for faster departures, the crews were hauling getting people through the line. It was a total walk on for my three rides this morning. EVAC needs our help! Also keep in mind they weren't against building a park outside of the current resort area (Port Disney in Long Beach) in the past. I don't think buying up all of the property surrounding was as high of a priority for them, not that it necessarily is now but it's currently their better option for (further) expansion.

Wow, that looks like a GREAT show! I'm especially impressed with the projections on the castle. Can't say the flow of the show is that great, but it still looks like a blast (of fire!) and sure to please the crowd, especially with that finale haha.

Thanks to all have donated so far! A little about me, my name is Hector and I've been following TPR for quite a few years. I signed up for the forums back when they opened in 2005, but it wasn't until the Spain Trip in 2007 (Shameless plug for my biggest PTR to date!) came around until I really started to post and be a part of the TPR community. I've always been fascinated by the small carnivals that always rode through the area and the various rides they brought along, and I've always enjoyed our occasional family trips to Disneyland the years we could afford it; but it wasn't until I started playing the original Roller Coaster Tycoon that really kick started this hobby. Pretty soon I was off to working four summers at Cedar Point ten years ago (holy shit it's been 10 years...) on various rides throughout the park including Power Tower, Paddlewheel Excursions (Captain Hector!) Magnum, and Top Thrill Dragster. As a huge fan of Disney (mainly the theme parks), I've known about the Give Kids the World program for quite some time, but I seemed to have missed the first two Coasting for Kids as I really only heard about it last year. Seeing the sign-ups this year, there is no way I was going to pass this opportunity up! I love giving back to charities and great organizations like this (I also do the LA AIDS Walk in October when I can) because I can't even imagine what something like this feels like, not to just the kid, but to their entire family. So to have a place a great as GKTW to help them all try and forget about the hardships of the real world will easily get my time and money.

I think with the addition of Alcohol it'll be better received then Light Magic, but I don't think it'll last more then the summer (gods at least I hope not, what a terrible execution!)

There is indeed a stop in Downtown Disney near the Disneyland Hotel. So I went to the last few hours of the 24 hour thing and holy crap it was busy! Space Mountain had a 140 minute wait at around 4:30 am when I was leaving, but it felt like half of the park was shut down by then as well.

BWUAHAHAHAHAHA! I can't say how much of a fun (and especially exhausting) weekend West Coast Bash was! Thansk to Robb, Elissa, and anyone else that made the weekend as great as it was From the people I got to meet and hang out with, to the staff of both parks for putting on such an event for us. With that said, also toss me into the camp that KBF blew SFMM out of the water this year! I'm so happy Knott's is coming back up in quality and with last year's WCB being as excellent as last year's, I want to especially send a shout out to KBF's marketing team as they throw an absolutely amazing enthusiast event! I hope they are able to work with TPR to throw another Haunt event as well this year as I had a blast at last years event and would definitely do it again this year.

^Pee-O-V? I've seen BMG in Vegas three times and each time they were a bit different (Once at the Luxor, twice at the Venetian), I love that keep updating the show (although I cannot eat twinkies anymore... ever...) and I'd love to catch this version of the show when I'm next out in Orlando!

Ugh, can I just say I hate posts like that, there's nothing in that post to even tempt me to click on the link, on top of that it's not important enough news to be splashed all over TPR (at least not yet if it is). haha Just ranting, can't wait for WCB next weekend to see all the changes.
