No, just no. They do that so people won't complian (like your mom which I think is a horrible thing to do as it just gives you the impression that complaining until you get your way is ok,, which it isn't, but that's a seperate argument) becuase if the line is shorter then what the wait time is posted, People will think it's a good thing and they got a deal, but if they have to wait longer then what's posted then they get pissy. It has nothing to do with FastPass/Fastlane/Qbot/ExpressPass/ whatever is used at the park. Those signs are there for if you do go on a busy day and you are waiting in a line that you could have skipped with whatever system they have in place. As for the topic of this thread, I don't agree with it exactly, it seems like it would hurt more then help as most people plan there trips ahead of time so if they find out it's busy, they may deicded to hold off as opposed to randomly heading to the parks on a whim because the park is not busy. And yeah, that scenario at Six Flags seems the exception not the norm. I'm sure they are well prepared for the other days of the week(end) for various crowd sizes. I would like to see more queue updates within the parks on ride boards accross the parks ala Universal. And maybe a texting system could work well if you text a certain number you can get line times, but have different numbers to change so you have to be in the parks to see which number to text for the day.

Nürburgring launched coaster
RCFreak replied to thomas2's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You have to remember this isn't a coaster just for a coaster sake like at an amusement park. The whole point of this ride is to simulate a F1 race car taking off (which also slow down immediately). Personally I've never seen a race car go up 400+ feet after they take off down the speedway. I also seem to remember reading or hearing that S&S pretty much convinced them to add that turnaround so it would a little more fun (hearsay, all of it!) and do a little more then just launch-brake-return which was a big complaint from most of the enthusiasts (go back and read through this thread) seriously, go look at page 9 for an early layout, sans fun twisty turnaround. -
^Neither does Deja Vu.

I really don't see any health issues arising from marathoning a coaster, but always have a full check up before attempting anything physically straining. Also if you were serious about it, get in contact with the park's Marketing department and you would need bigger sponsors I would think, local business' and maybe even try contacting the local news media if Thrope does say yes to this.

Photo TR: Adventure City - Anaheim, CA
RCFreak replied to ILoveRides's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Taking literally one minute to look at the website, it's $13.95 including unlimited use of the rides. Nice TR, one of the parks I have yet to visit as it's not that high on my list, but thanks for showing it off. -
And a lot of people forget (or don't realize) Universal Studios Hollywood is a Movie Studio with a couple of rides, Universal Orlando (both parks) are just theme parks where it's all rides and shows. I also agree with ^ and ^^ You definitely don't need two days at Busch, and you can do both Universal parks in one day during September/ October. Also it really depends on who you are for how long you should spend at Animal Kingdom. Many people say they usually just go in and out as there's not many rides, but I can easily spend a whole day at AK since I also love animals.

^HAHAHAHA!!! I hope it really was.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride
RCFreak replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I don't know about you, but everytime I'm in the apocolytpic futue it's all random lights and wires. The cheesey acting is expected, and Robb said it best to me, "It's like a really good Haunt Maze." -

^I have a strong feeling you should start saving your money for next year. Looks like you guys are having an awesome time! I'm officially jealous ( not like that's new...) I miss Spain lol.

It would still be $94, the online discounts don't take effect until you get to the three day park hoppers. If you can buy them before you get there though, that would probably work better as then you don't have to worry about long ticket lines.

I remixed Boom Boom Pow- Boom Boom Pwn!
RCFreak replied to Calaway Park's topic in Random, Random, Random
Honestly I think you ruined the entire intention of the song, which funny enough is the "Boom Boom" As far as remixes go, this was pretty weak, and you are way to big a fan of digitally altering voices (which I find annoying personally) I definitely thikn it could have worked on another song, but not this one. -
Disneyland's Nightastic
RCFreak replied to atem122's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
lol the old one was a -big dragon head literrally attached to a giant metal rod. Although I think my favortie thing was two stage hands had to run back and forth to make the wings move. The new one will be a full 40 foot animatronic with full body and movement. Trust me, there's a HUGE difference. -

The new fireworks were in preview this weekend (obviously tons of videos on Youtube already) and is officialy on the schedule starting this Thrusday the 11. The New Fantsamic and I belive the new Electrical Parade is slated to start this Friday as well (again, expect tons of videos on Saturday with quite a few popping up Friday itself) And trust me, the new dragon for Fantasmic will be amazing. -

AGREED! Have an awesome rest of the trip!

^Funny enough, I just rode Medusa last week and it wasn't so smooth, it didn't vibrate nearly as much as Scream does, but the bottom of the first few inversions were pretty bad.

Gyroscope Rides/Spinning Rings

You could buy your own for only $10,000.00 -
Funny enough, I first saw him in Kung Fu: The Legand Continues. I'm sad to hear he took his life, but on the other hand, I agree with Tyler. The guy has 222 actor credits on IMDB alone, so he managed to do quite well with his life while he was still around. Still, it's always sad to hear of a person taking their life.
