No, but on all seriousness, personally, I think the closest thing I have to park memorabilia is this cassette tape for Mirabilandia which dates back to 1999. The year I was born, actually. -

I don't know. To me, Zamperla (in terms of coasters, not flat rides (their flats are epic)) is the dictionary definition of a good concept but poorly executed. Their large scale coasters could have been great alternatives to the more expensive B&M/Intamin/Vekoma coasters. Instead, they're just alternatives. Bad alternatives, mostly. -

Excuse me if I may go back to that hideous looking Thunderbolt train, but I've got one more thing to say: I think a while ago some people who went on the TB at Coney Island criticised the shoulder straps as being the worst part of the coaster because they just flapped around their shoulders and accomplished nothing. Now I think what zamperla might be doing here is to give the straps actual harnesses, so they might get more comfortable. I'm fine with the idea, but knowing Zamperla, it's probably going to be executed horribly. As for the FNAF Sally corp. animatronics, although I might be considered a little "old" for the FNAF series, I'm a fan too (pun intended). I'm currently enjoying the hell out of Sister Location. I think the franchise, with the way it's headed, is probably going to live on for quite a long while- with the movie, the real life animatronics... As far as games are concerned, SL really pushed the envelope in terms of gameplay, in my opinion. -

Zamperla hasn't learned anything, has it? They never do. That looks hideous. -

What coaster's that dragon-shaped timberliner for? -
I honestly wish I would've been just a tad bit older when Sierra Tonante was dismantled. At least I would've ridden a wooden coaster for the first time! <<<< This guy you see in this old and dumb profile picture has never ridden a wooden roller coaster. I spit on him. What a disgrace. Oh, masochism. It's so gratifying.

I'm Italian. Don't worry, I'm not a Saudi. Yes, I am implying exactly what you think I'm implying. The "current situation" won't affect me whatsoever. -
Announcing "Skyline Attractions"

That's was what I was thinking. I could really see this fitting in well a Fun Spot Orlando. . . Or Coney Island/Luna Park. Nah, Coney Island is owned by Zamperla. The only non-Zamperla rides there are the historical ones like the wonder wheel, cyclone, etc. -

You know where I think Six Flags might put this? Magic Mountain. Think about it. They don't have a super-loop, and if it turns out that these rides count as credits, as I asked about earlier (but everyone apparently seems to be ignoring me (as usual ), then I don't see a reason as to why they shouldn't market this as their 20th coaster. ... Although, if they really wanted to make their 20th coaster, they'd want to make it good, no? -
Six Flags in Saudi Arabia
LeoBruz199 replied to LeoBruz199's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Sorry for the late reply, but I just need to have a word with you. First off, I think that if they were to expand overseas, then they'd do it somewhere that is NOT here. As for people traveling overseas for riding coasters, they do it because they know that, sadly, the parks here are not as good as the elite parks found in, say, Dubai. But do you really think that just because the park is called "Six Flags" and it's in Jeddah, it'll actually make a difference? A little, but eventually, it'll be another park no one goes to since they've pretty much consumed it, and even if they add stratospheric new rides every now and then, only 20% of those people who will have gone when it first opened will be bothered to go back. If anything they might as well get MAD, because they'll think they're "ripping off" the Six Flags parks in America. (trust me. When it comes to parks, the Saudi GP is in many ways so much worse than others) Why would this be? Because people here just don't give a crap. I see this with my friends all the time. They go to a park, go to it ONCE, and then never speak its name ever again. And this isn't just limited to KSA. Look at Rome. They've opened up two good amusement parks, CCW and RML, and whilst they were popular at first, now that people have gone to them, their sales are going down (according to fellow Italian Enthusiasts). Here in Saudi it'll be the exact same thing, just worse. Look at Atallah Happy Land park. That park pretty much reopened in 2008, had a somewhat decent surge in popularity, added the tallest half pipe coaster in the world in 2012 (the Surfrider, which I'm sure you never even heard of, even if you're pretty much living here (I'm guessing. You spoke almost as if you lived here.)), and now it's pretty much a bankruptcy waiting to happen. As for the jobs point, the only people benefitting from that to a large extent will be the foreign Indo-Pakistani/Filipino workers who will have more job opportunity. But either way, as I'm noticing more and more, any large-scale investment they do here is the physical equivalent of taking a pile of money, applying crude oil to it and setting it on fire. (Looking at YOU, Kingdom Tower 2.0!) No wonder we're having an economic recession. -

Tayto Park Discussion Thread
LeoBruz199 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I doubt Blackpool will affect their plans much. The vast majority of their visitors come from the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. And the vast majority of them will not visit Blackpool or have even heard of Construction 2018. If Tayto want a Mack Launched Coaster they'll go for it. ----------------------------------------- On the corner of the maps the park has now written: New Attractions for 2017. I expected there to be more than just the flume, when CuChulainn opened it was one of 8 new attractions. It will probably just be a few more flat rides and perhaps another walk through attraction the Dinosaurs and the Ice Age (real time period not the films) attractions are rather popular and I imagine cheap to make. I expect an XL drop tower to be coming next year. -

^Thanks for the pics. I might make a stop there when I get over there in the UK for a uni trip in December. (I'm applying to the UK for uni) We're staying 3 days in London in the weekend. Perfect opportunity much? -
Yet you keep taking photos and videos of the project. I mean, they specifically said they would like for the project to be kept a secret, and they would like for you to respect that, yet you ignore them and keep taking photos, and videos, and posting them... Why?? I know we are all interested and excited about this project, but why ignore the manufacture's request and keep posting about it?? Let us find out more information about it when Vekoma releases it. Vekoma said :"Any photographs taken on our territory is strictly prohibited and photographing people at or near the test. " But the video is taken from Public Roads. I don't see a problem. Yeah. They never said to not take videos/photos OF the property. If they did, you'd be in a truckload of trouble. Wording is key. IMO, Vekoma should've A. expressed themselves better if they really didn't want their project to be recorded from the outside, B. Made sure that their "secret project" isn't visible to the public eye.

Oh, unless you didn't know, yes. Wildfire may be closing. The Swedish Environmental committee apparently revoked Kolmarden's permit to have it, since it was causing trouble with the area's fauna.
