  1. Plus even if someone is tall enough for the other coasters, some people don't like coasters with inversions. And Apollo might be too much for others. It has got to be one of the most unbalanced coaster collections of any park. If the new coaster is a flyer, that will be just as bad. I don't understand why they didn't move Wild Maus somewhere else in the park rather than move it to Tampa since that would have at least given them 1 family coaster.
  2. I was going to ask if V2 was 52" since Possessed is 52" but I see V2 is 54." I am shocked CF actually has a lower height requirement than SF. Since if V2 was also 52" that would have explained why they were able to ride.
  3. 0 - 30 is a huge gap of time. If I was at a park I might be willing to wait 0 - 15 minutes but not 30 minutes. I guess if you are familiar with the park then you can sort of estimate how long the wait will be based on where the line stops without any signs.
  4. Nitro at Great Adventure on Monday around 6:45 p.m.
  5. Thanks, I didn't know about Construction Rights and it works now.
  6. It looks like a good ride, the only thing I don't like that others mentioned is that if that waterfall is added to the final ride, you are going to get soaked. I usually skip rapid rides and splashdown boat rides at parks because I don't want to get drenched but will usually ride the log flume because you usually just get some drops of water on you. It's too bad they couldn't have done the same with this, enough water to cool you off but not enough to get soaked.
  7. I could be wrong but it sounds like they were regular line cutters. Dorney's policy is that if you have more than 2 people in your group, the disabled person and 1 other person can wait on a bench somewhere while the rest of the group has to wait in the line and they meet up on the station platform. If you only have 2 people, they give you a boarding time to return based on the length of the line.
  8. I hope it is ok to post this here since I didn't see a RCT 1 thread. For the Urban Park scenario in Corkscrew Follies, you have the ability to buy land, but how do you get visitors to that land? When I try to build a path away from the small area you start the scenario with, it tells me the land isn't owned by the park including the town area with no way to connect the areas.
  9. CGA doesn't look too great That Kidsongs video from Magic Mountain was one of my favorite videos when I was younger. Hard to believe it was filmed almost 20 years ago.
  10. Sunday should be less crowded. If you aren't interested in The Boardwalk (which is good because lines are horrible with 1 - 1 1/2 hour waits for the lazy river and wave pool), I would ride as many of the coasters as possible while the Boardwalk is open as lines get longer after the Boardwalk closes at 6 and everyone starts going to rides (not to say the rides won't have waits during the day but they will get a lot longer from 6 - 8 or so). I would get there at opening and ride Fahrenheit and Rollersoaker (if you plan to ride that) right away. I was there last Monday and Rollersoaker was almost a 2 1/2 hour wait in the middle of the day!
  11. I went on Saturday September 20th last year. It was jammed. Nitro was in the switchbacks (30+ minute wait), Superman and KK had huge waits. The only coasters under 10 minutes were Scream Machine and Runaway Mine Train. On Saturday the 27th, I didn't go but the park was empty due to horrible rain and they closed at 4:00. It was a bad weekend for weather though, Friday the 26th was Family Fall Fun Night (passholder event) and barely over 400 people showed up so they closed at 7:30 instead of 10 and on Sunday the 28th they also closed early due to rain.
  12. Parks all over are closed that Saturday. Great Adventure and Dorney are also closed that day because of buyouts.
  13. Hersheypark Dorney Park Great Adventure Morey's Piers Gillian's Wonderland Pier That's it since I still plan to take multiple trips to Dorney and Great Adventure this year but I don't plan on getting to any new parks. I think this is also the first year since becoming an enthusiast that I didn't get any new credits.
  14. That is the kind of stuff that I can't stand and makes me really question Hershey's operations (plus my own bad experiences with operations in 2007 and 2008). It's bad enough to only run 1 train on each side and on top of that to have rows closed off. But to have rows closed off with a 20 minute line is ridiculous.
  15. I didn't know b&m inverts had wider seats. If Vampire got big boy seats I'm surprised BTR at Great Adventure didn't a few years ago when it got new restraints/ or seats especially since the belts are so short to begin with. Great Bear for example has much longer belts.
  16. I went on a Satirday in 2006, lines weren't too bad 15 - 20 minutes for Comet and Great Bear but I hear it has gotten a lot more crowded since then especially on Saturday's and with admission so cheap (compared to the summer).
  17. Hydra at Dorney this past Monday
  18. I agree with comments about how kids don't know Snoopy. At least with HB, a lot of those shows are still on Cartoon Network/Boomerang. Even Bernstain Bear Country that a few CF parks had in the 90's would have been better to keep it as that rather than changing to Camp Snoopy since the Bernstain Bears also still have a somewhat new TV series that is still shown.
  19. Talon is supposedly open again You are not allowed to take pictures on any ride, new this year is that if you get caught with a camera on a coaster and they have to stop the ride, you will get kicked out of the park. They go kind of overboard with it though, I mean according to their rules you aren't allowed to take pictures even on the 2 slow moving trains (which is strange since CP allows pictures to be taken on tranquil rides like that).
  20. Just a guess but maybe CF asked for those restraints with all the complaints about people not able to ride MF, especially since the mega lifestyle, Bizarro and El Toro all have lap bars
  21. My favorites are Patriot's Plunge tube slides, red and blue are short but awesome. Red has a double down drop that has some air time and white has a huge drop. Aquablast is also a lot of fun (family raft slide), but it gets a huge line so it is best to get to it early.
  22. Screaming swing is $5. The park was packed today but it was all in the waterpark. Hydra was 7 minutes, Possessed looked to be around 15 minutes, Talon was closed. I only stopped in for 20 minutes since I was in the area and just rode Hydra. Wild Mouse looked to be at least an hour.
  23. I have had a 10 minute wait for the Wild Mouse with the line maybe 5 people past the turnstyle to get into the station. At TDK or the Wild Mouse at Hershey, that would have been maybe a 2 minute wait. The seatbelts and the 2 adults per car rule and that as few as 4 cars are running make it a horrible wait. I walk by it on most visits and see what would be a 15 - 20 minute wait at another park be at least 45 minutes to an hour at Dorney. It's a shame because operations are usually good on almost every other ride with a few exceptions. Now that the waterpark is only open from 11 - 6, that is going to make lines on the ride side worse since when the waterpark was open until 7 or 8, the ride side stayed emptier earlier but now with people leaving the waterpark earlier, the ride side will be a lot more crowded.
  24. I ate at the Alamo last year, I couldn't believe the prices. They would be cheap for a sit down restaurant out of an amusement park let alone in an amusement park! To give an idea of how cheap it was, a tuna salad sandwich with potato chips was $3.25.
  25. This has been a very bad few days for accidents
