  1. 63 meters = 206 ft first drop, according to the source material. And did they quote them saying up to 5G's? That's I305-status force!
  2. I was supposed to see The Amity Affliction, Cruel Hands, The Plot in You on Sunday in Boston but my friend backed out after I bought tickets, and now I have to sell this god damn ticket before then or I'm out $25. It's a shame because I like those bands, but I don't have a ride into or out of Boston, which makes it impossible for me to go.
  3. Thank you! I am excited for the last rides of the season. Trying to see how much life I can squeeze out of the dying seconds of this season.
  4. I know I am late to the Total Mayhem hype train, but the renderings of the 4D coasters always seem to leave me with a sense of motion sickness. Is it just the rendering, or is it like that in actuality? However, with that said, I've always wanted to check these coasters out and now that one is relatively close to my homestead, I should make the trip down at some point. I haven't been to GAdv in a while.
  5. Wish granted, it opens today! But it's not QUITE finished. I wish I had the money to travel to all these wonderful parks.
  6. A few years ago I tried everything in my power to get my now ex-girlfriend to convert to roller coasters. She hated them with an absolute passion, and I suggested amusement parks and theme parks at every junction. It never worked, and in hindsight, that might be for the best. Most likely, she would have cried and not talked to me for the rest of the day.
  7. I used to go to Canobie Lake Park all the time, but SFNE has started to take over because Canobie can't quite scratch the itch. It is good every now and again, but I haven't been to CLP in about 2-2.5 years. I should go back next summer.
  8. Anyone have any idea if it will be busy Saturday afternoon? Weather is going to be okay. Mostly cloudy and a high of 57. I'm hoping that most people will be distracted by the haunts so I can cycle Bizarro and Wicked Cyclone.
  9. That quick 'S' section near the end of the ride should give some great Lateral G's. The whole thing looks amazing!
  10. Granted, but you're snowed in. You don't have enough supplies to last the winter. I wish I had some coffee
  11. You could always add a Larson Superloop, call it a coaster, and call it a day.
  12. It honestly looks like a coaster that was already in an accident. As if the thing is made out of aluminum foil and caving in on itself.
  13. 11 coasters? That's impressive and frightening at the same time. Let's hope they aren't cutting corners.
  14. The first drop seems about 210-215ft, but that's just eyeing it. It looks gorgeous, though. I need to travel to this park.
  15. Canobie Lake Park! I haven't been in a long time. I should go again next summer.
  16. Either Great American Scream Machine that was at GAdv, or Magnum
  17. I love the Huss Flyaways, like Nightwing that used to be at SFNE, or a good old Tilt-A-Whirl. Tilt-A-Whirl's are so much fun, I can't even describe it. It's so much fun and it makes me laugh like a school kid the entire time. Same goes for Tea-Cups.
  18. ...when you were 10 and Kingda Ka was first opened and you were really excited to ride it because your family had planned a trip to Great Adventure, only to find out that the very same ride you were pining to ride just so happened to have a major malfunction and would be closed during the time you were going to said park, so you ran to your room and cried for a couple hours.
  19. Intamin: Intimidator 305 or old S:RoS at SFNE B&M: Nitro (close second is Apollo's Chariot from Busch Gardens Williamsburg)
  20. Excellent TR, per usual. The concept of the 'Skeleton Key Rooms" gives off a "Legends of the Hidden Temple" vibe. Very cool indeed!
  21. Reading through Skyline's website and their about page/press releases, I think their strategy here is not to build something that will be huge and out of control, but something manageable. I feel like they want to build rides that are low maintenance; that'll run for thousands and thousands and thousands of hours without incident, building reputation within the industry as reliable, so investors can see potential. At least, that's my take on it. Intamin started with Jr. Gemini (Wilderness Run), and now they have Kingda Ka, Formula Rossa, Millennium Force, Intimidator 305, etc, Golden Ticket Awards, and all of the accolades and achievements they earned. No one is saying that Skyline is breaking any new, Earth Shattering ground, but you have to start somewhere. EDIT: Also, sorry if this particular ground has already been covered in this thread.
  22. As of right now, Untamed at Canobie Lake Park.
