  1. 1. Banshee 2. Montu 3. Afterburn 4. Alpengeist 5. Chinese Fireball
  2. My updated list (favourite, then the rest in no particular order): 1. El Toro - I-305 - Lightning Rod - Lightning Run - Maverick - Phantom's Revenge - Storm Chaser - Storm Runner - Wicked Cyclone
  3. Millennium Force, front row at night
  4. Here's what I agree with for the Top 50 lists: - El Toro back at number 1 wood - Lightning Rod cracking top 5 wood - Maverick in the top 10 - Nitro, Apollo's Chariot, and Magnum slipping down - Skyrush in the top 50 (I also have indoor plumbing in my house) What I find dumb, but fun to complain about: - Iron Rattler #4 steel?? I mean steel RMCs are awesome and deserve top 10 accolades, just not this one - Beast ahead of Outlaw Run - Shivering Timbers at #25 (most underrated woodie in my opinion) - Behemoth 20 spots below Diamondback. Unnecessary. - I305 must've lost its GPS because it still can't find it's way to the Top 10 steel
  5. It's hard for me to have a "least favorite" of something I love, but if I were forced to say it, while my nuts were hooked up to a car battery... - La Ronde: A B&M Batman AND a Vekoma SLC?? Brilliant ideas like this make my brain hurt. - Canada's Wonderland: We do NOT need another three flat rides, please and thank you. - SF Magic Mountain: The park if too damn big, too damn busy, and operations are too damn slow to be a premier park. Period. Even with the Flash Pass. However, since I have not yet ridden FT and Twisted Colossus, it might be worth a revisit. As for my favourite parks: - Cedar Point - Busch Gardens (both) - Universal Studios - Hershey Park - Dollywood - Kennywood
  6. Wonderland is my home park, and I love going too. I did have the pleasure of going to KI earlier this month, and I really loved it as well. KI definitely has a much more solid coaster collection, even though CW has giga bragging rights. At KI, every coaster is rideable, and there are more coasters that are really good. Banshee, The Beast, Diamondback, and Mystic Timbers are all more or less on par with our two best, and then most of the rest at KI are all still good. We only have three good coasters at CW, a couple more decent ones, and a handful that are just rubbish (the two taking up space by the Kingswood, blech). So in that sense, I agree, KI is better. But our flat collection puts theirs to shame, badly. Not only that, but our flats are good on their own merits anyways. I mean, Shockwave gives a crazier ride than lots of coasters. Skyhawk is a great choose your own intensity ride, and Sledgehammer (when running, tbf) gives a unique, fun ride. Seriously, I love KI, but if it was my home park, I would miss the variety of flats on offer at CW. The atmosphere at KI is very nice. It's more polished, while being more rustic and quaint. It a struck me right away when visiting. Overall, I probably prefer the atmosphere at KI. Again though, CW deserves credit here too. The atmosphere at CW is grander. The mountain, the falls, Arthur's Bay with the diving shows, Leviathan over the entrance. It all adds up. Honestly, before going to KI, I was afraid it would ruin Wonderland for me, but it really didn't. I'd love to have as good a coaster collection, but that's only one facet of what makes a great park. I guess I'm trying to say that I love both parks the same, but for different reasons. Wonderland is also my home park, but in my opinion, I also agree that KI is better than CW. Next to Cedar Point, King's Island is Cedar Fair's best park. I've been to KI four times, and I would say that it has a more "grand" feel than CW ("grand" as in attraction depth and quality). The only "grand" thing about Wonderland is the shear number of guests it attracts every year, with most of them being the line-jumping-zero-park-etiquete general public (it's noticeably worse at CW), plus being only the top-heavy Leviathan / Behemoth show. I would trade park-for-park in a heartbeat. But then again, I suppose I can't complain too much about having a major park almost in my back yard period
  7. My updated rankings: 1. Storm Chaser 2. Lightning Rod 3. Wicked Cyclone 4. New Texas Giant 5. Outlaw Run 6. Iron Rattler 7. Goliath Next: Twisted Colossus in October
  8. I went to Cedar Point by myself after my last break-up, and it was an amazing experience. Sometimes you have a different appreciation for things when you get to think for yourself
  9. Every Twisted Impulse Intamin I've been on has a distinguished screeching noise during the launches (Volcano, Wicked Twister, V2), but Possessed at Dorney Park takes the cake for putting on the brakes at the top of the rear tower and is absolutely ear-piercing!
  10. For me, as a general rule as to which is better: - Track below riders = Intamin - Track above or beside riders = B&M
  11. - Busch Gardens Tampa and Holiday World - King's Island and King's Dominion - Dollywood and Silver Dollar City - Six Flags America and Six Flags St. Louis
  12. Thunderbolt (Kennywood) and White Lightning are both at the top of my list.
  13. 62/100, I also have never been outside of North America, but my dream is to hit up Europe and Japan to experience some of the other best coasters in the world
  14. What we really need is a modern, quality, looping/launch coaster. It could either go where SkyRider was, or just rip out Flight Deck and Time Warp and put it there. Thoughts?
  15. 1. What is the farthest distance you've traveled to specifically visit a theme park? - Flying: Everything in L.A. - Driving: Silver Dollar City (16 hours) 2. Your favorite coaster in the state you live in? - Leviathan/Behemoth 3. Would you rather wait in line for a boomerang (at any park) or a VR coaster @ a Six Flags? - VR (Mindbender at SFOT was pretty sweet) 4. Have u ever been the only person in a train during a coaster ride? - Can't remember, but my wife and I for sure have been the only ones 5. What is your favorite thing to do at your home park that does not involve riding something? - Dinosaurs Alive 6. Better time for ERT: Early morning or late night? - Morning 7. Name some theme park food that *sounds* gross, yet is oh-so-delicious? - Beaver Tails 8. Name your top three "bucketlist" coasters you have yet to ride. - Lightning Rod - Storm Chaser - Anything overseas 9. Have you ever been E-Vac'd? Did you receive anything if you did? - Once on Great White at SeaWorld. Got bugger all. 10. What is the longest length of time you've waited for a coaster? - Recent honourable mentions go to NTaG and Volcano, almost 2 hours each 11. Worst flat ride ever. Name it. - Any spinning tea cup ride. Period. 12. Your favorite SWEET treat at a park that is NOT your home park. - Kettle corn at Hershey Park 13. Congratulations! After aggressively gambling on the Plinko game you finally won a front of the line pass. Which ride do you use it on? - El Toro 14. If you could have a lifetime fast pass to ONE attraction what would it be? - Same as above 15. Have you ever been next to someone that puked on a coaster? - No, but I witnessed the operators "air out" a train filled with puke as a cleaning method. I left. 16. Your home park is getting a new B&M and YOU get to pick what type. Do you want an invert/hyper/dive/floorless/flyer/wing/standup? All of the above is not an option. - Launched winger 17. Name your favorite Vekoma. - Expedition Everest 18. What water ride delivers the most unacceptable amount of wetness? - Anything that involves wearing clothes 19. If you were able to help design a coaster would you want it to focus on airtime or inversions/positive G's? - Track below riders = airtime - Track above or beside riders = inversions 20. Most comfortable trains/seats for a coaster are... - Any B&M V-style hyper trains 21. Choose one: Unlimited front-of-the-line access to your favorite coaster at your home park for one season OR $1,000 cash? - $$$$$$$$$$$$$ 22. You just got drowned by a flume/rapids/chute-the-chutes. Do you pay the $$ for the dryer machine or do you continue on with your day trudging around like soggy dog? - If I actually chose to stand near a flume ride, chances are I would have wanted to get soaked, so I'd probably stand there a bunch more times 23. Don't be shy. - 280something? 28. Winner winner chicken dinner! You just won a trip with hotel and airfare included. The catch is its only good for Six Flags America or Mt Olympus. Which do you choose? - Mt Olympus, only because I've never been there. I'm also curious to see why everyone is whining about how rough Hades is. 29. What is the best Intamin coaster you have ridden? - Technically, El Toro is an Intamin, right? 30. Your home park has to remove one coaster and one flat for an expansion. Which two rides would you be OK with losing? - Flight Deck and Time Warp. I don't care if Time Warp is a coaster, I'm calling it a flat because it has to go. Such a f*cking waste of real estate. 31. Do you visit the waterpark if it's connected to the amusement park? - Sometimes 34. What 2017 addition are you most looking forward to? - Mystic Timbers I guess. I'm still behind on 2016 additions. 35. What was the most disappointing addition to your home park in the past 10 years? - Leviathan, only because we already had an equal quality hyper to begin with. Just redundant is all. 36. The most overrated coaster ever is... - Kumba maybe 37. What ride makes you wanna vomit? - Those evil tea cups 38. What is the best consolation prize you've won at a games booth? - Not blowing any more money 39. And the worst? - An evil Minion doll 40. End this questionnaire by posting a picture of your favorite light package (coaster/flat).
  16. I stumbled upon the below video. Listen in at 2:00, then again at 3:30... I can see how some immature butt-hurt kids can get offended by comments like this and blog their asses off, but there are also decent adult humans out there who respect the rules and regulations of theme parks, and want to be part of TPR. I just hope you realize that just because I haven't met you yet, doesn't make me an "internet a$$hole"
