  1. I admit, I love San Diego, California. There's always nice weather, the beach is nearby, and there is a lot to do in the city. But the gas prices are insane!!! I don't want to even mention a past experiance I've had with that. Allison 2KY, the weather in Florida is not as consistently good as California's. Sometimes it can be really hot, the pour thunderstorms the next days, and the hurricanes can be bad during the summers. Besides the earthquakes, gas prices, pollution, and expensive prices overall, California's great.
  2. That's true, but it will be nice to see the Nationals for the first time (especially since they are playing the Padres).
  3. Petco is pretty bland like Nitro X 230 said above. It's not a bad park, but it's not a good park either. Nothing really catches your eye except for the "Park in the Park" and the Western Metal Supply building. The field is way too big, so you seldom see home runs. Some of the sight lines can be bad (left field line at field level for example) but otherwise you can see the whole field. The concessions aren't fascinating. All san diegans make such a big deal that you can get sushi there but in my opinion it's overrated. I usually get Randy Jones BBQ. Petco Park is worth a visit if you are vacationing down to San Diego, but if you have limited time, you don't have to go. I'm going to RFK Stadium in Washington D.C on August 5th and 6th and I'm also going to Camden Yards again on August 9th. I can't wait to see RFK.
  4. I've only been to Petco Park (21 times in the last two season), Angel Stadium (6 times in five seasons), Tropicana Field (once), and Camden Yards(once). The best out of those is Camden Yards. The worst by far is Tropicana Field. Most visited Ugly look from outside Worst park Best park
  5. Xcelerator Both have nearly vertical drops Both have a very short ride duration
  6. This sounds awesome!!! But I can't go. Since I don't know anyone here personally, I'm not going to risk my life by going to a meet .
  7. Shorter lines for TOT! 8) I do agree with Shari on a lot of the points she made on the first page. People faint everywhere, and the media doesn't report it. But if a ride makes someone faint, it's all over the news. Maybe that girl was overreacting. I went on Maliboomer one time and I was low on blood sugar. After the ride, I felt quesy and I felt that I was going to faint. After that, I got something to eat and I was fine. But still, this is not good for Disney. Two incidents in two months, although the TOT incident wasn't too serious, hopefully. John "Long live the ride in my avatar!" P.
  8. Sorry for this being a random post, but one of my pet peeves is when a person puts "the" in front of an attraction name. I almost gagged when I saw the topic name.
  9. I think he meant to put that in the "What would you wait 6 hours for?" thread.
  10. No offense, but those are both horrible choices. I hate Simple Plan with a passion. Some of Green Day's stuff is o.k, so I'd chose that song.
  11. It's only funny because of the voiceovers.
  12. ^^I'll explain. The highest GPA you can get is a 4.0. But if you are taking honors classes, it could be weighted (or lifted) higher if you have an A in that honors class. You probably have a B- average which is pretty good. Here are the rankings. 4.0 or higher=A average 3.0-3.9=B average 2.0-2.9=C average 1.0-1.9=D average 0.0-0.9=F average For the first semester I had a woeful 2.29 GPA. But I really amped it up and got less lazy on my homework so I luckily finished out the year at a 3.57.
  13. If you come down to terms of being afraid that you're going to die, it would be any carnival ride. Especially "Zipper". Those things scare the crap out of me.
  14. I should have put a wink by my post. It was supposed to be complete sarchasm pointing at maliboomer for moaning about RCTInfinity stealing Gumball's avatar. I'm deeply sorry if I offended anyone.
  15. For some reason, that sounds very wrong . Anyways, I don't understand your post. So, I can't help you. Sorry .
  16. I would say Arrow. The limited leg room bothers me a lot but they have classic coasters like Loch Ness Monster, Shockwave (now closed), and X. Their muilti-loopers are exceptionally fun and Demon (SFGAm) is classic also.
  17. I went to go to Sea World San Diego to redo my pass. The parking lot looked full so I was worrying all the lines will be long, which I thought would be odd for an exceptionally cold day and some drizzling but Sea World is a pretty big place which can hold a lot of people. First of all, I renewed my pass at the guest relations, I'd like to compliment them of how effcient they were, handling a very long line. I entered the park and headed to the right to Journey To Atlantis. This will be my first time on the ride. The line was about 30 minutes at the beginning of the day and then died down to walk-on after my first ride. They assigned me a seat in the back of the car. The lap bars are decent, but it is very uncomfortable on me since I am tall. They checked us and we went up the lift hill, then a right turn down the drop. The drop was a lot better then I expected and delivered a little pop of air, if any. We headed around a turn and they took our picture then went into the elevator. The elevator was cool, however, some of the projections weren't working properly. When we got to the top, I didn't know which ride we were on, Journey to Atlantis or Tower of Terror. We headed into the coaster part which was also very surprisingly intense. The banks were very heavy and fun. The splashdown didn't get me wet, thankfully, just a little moist. After I exited, I went to ride again which was a walk-on wait, and sat in the back again. After Journey, I went to the Penguin Encounter after seeing how long the Wild Artic line was. Once I came out, the line was short for the motion side so I went on it. The ride was decent, it is not as intense or fun as Star Tours at DL but the polar bears, beluga whales, and walrus's at the post show was a pleasent surprise. Great theming also, with a collapsed ship and fake snow all over. After I exited Wild Artic I went to the Shark Encounter, which is cool as always. Seeing the sharks all around you as awesome. After Shark Encounter, it was 11:30, and I went over to the Shipwreck Cafe to eat lunch. The food was decent, but the themeing was great. After lunch, I went over to Shipwreck Rapids which had a 20 minute wait which was surprising for such a cold day. I went on to the boat and didn't get very wet, the waterfall is the only thing that wet me. After Shipwreck, I went to ride Journey 2 more times in the front and I got soaked, even more wet then Shipwreck Rapids. I felt all gross after it and walked around the park to dry off. I went to see the sting rays and the eels, and then I went back to ride Journey one more time in the back. Right when I was exiting, the boats got stuck on the block brakes right before the drop, which blocked two more boats, one was on the block brakes after the lift hill and one was stuck on the lift hill. Yep, the ride went 101. Luckily, it was literally right when I was exiting. I left the park and saw the people having to go down the stairs on Journey. Overall, I had a very fun day. Ride Ratings: Journey to Atlantis: 8/10 Shipwreck Rapids:9/10 Wild Artic:6/10
  18. I think we should have a games forum. It gets tiring having to look at all the games in the "Random, Random, Random" forum. Also, the games forum should have a post count lock, because people might go in there to raise their post count. Thanks.
