^ That comes out to $19 million USD, and yes, that's high. Most GCIs are in the $10 million range. -

Ninja and Tatsu are worthy. I enjoyed a lot of those immensely. Could be that you went pre-drought too, because when I was there for WCB, there was about an inch of water in the trough, the boat ran on its wheels the whole time without floating at all, and it just went back and forth hitting each side as hard as possible. I came off it with a headache from the amount and force of the crashing. You do need to have water in your log flume for it to function correctly. -

Trust me, the flume was absolutely appalling. There's no such thing as an appalling log flume. I used to think so. Then I went on Jet Stream at Magic Mountain. -

These are my thoughts as well. I don't think I've ever ridden a roller coaster in December, so I'll gladly settle for Batman and American Thunder. Josh says we're riding Mr. Freeze Wrong Way Blast, but we'll have to see about that. Seeing Mr. Freeze running the wrong way is like seeing your ex girlfriend with her new boyfriend. It will never be the same. Granted it's been eleven years since I've had an ex girlfriend, the cold sting of Freeze turning its back on me (literally) still pains me. I disagree with you (I actually prefer the Wrong Way Blast version), but that was too well worded not to give a Nina. Thisdougsforu, welcome--and great choice of avatar! This is a great hobby, and you're in for a lot of fun. I would suggest making Six Flags Great America in Chicagoland your next new park. First of all, it's free with a Six Flags St. Louis season pass, including whatever add-ons you have like parking and dining. Makes the trip really affordable. Second, they have not only a lot of roller coasters, but a lot of variety. You'll have a chance to try out different kinds and see what you like best. After that, I'd suggest a trip with Kings Island, Kentucky Kingdom, and Holiday World. They're all in basically a straight line, and they're also very different from each other. Kentucky Kingdom can be done in one day, but I'd suggest two at Holiday World and Kings Island. I would also highly recommend a trip to Silver Dollar City during the Christmas festival, since you mentioned you enjoyed SFStL's Holiday in the Park. Since you are one to enjoy a beer, keep in mind that Silver Dollar City and Holiday World are both dry parks. Plenty of us have been all over the Midwest, so read a lot of trip reports, keep an eye on the thread for a park you're planning to visit, and ask anything you need to know.

I would be more inclined to believe it's insurance rather than law. Guests who experience dehydration or heat-related illnesses may sue. Fair or not, "I didn't have 25 cents for water, and that caused my heat exhaustion" is a pretty powerful argument. Plus, free water is an extremely cheap and easy way to boost guest satisfaction.

Your guilty pleasure ride
ytterbiumanalyst replied to DanTheBooker's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Oh yes. Mamba at Worlds of Fun was the coaster that made me an enthusiast, and it's really great, but once I got to experience Magnum, my opinion of Mamba changed radically. Everything I loved about Mamba was just destroyed by Magnum. It's just the best hypercoaster, and it's my #2 steel coaster behind Millennium Force. I actually like Magnum better than Maverick, and that's not a popular opinion among enthusiasts. Last time I was at Cedar Point we opted to marathon Magnum and not bother with Maverick anymore. Maverick is an amazing coaster but I'm more impressed by Magnum. Those return airtime hills are better than pretty much anything on any other coaster. I'm not sure I'd go that far. I'm still riding Maverick as much as possible. Last ride of the night, though, and Millennium Force is closed for some reason, I'd choose Magnum over Maverick. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE Maverick and it was a contender for my #1 spot, but after riding it a few times and riding Magnum a few times, we realized we had more fun on Magnum (especially at night). Both are insanely amazing coasters though. -

November 8. When was the last time you played keno? -
Yep, you can pick both out quite easily by the expression of smug self-importance. Yep, psycho. If your religion causes you to behave that way, then you've missed the entire point of religion. It isn't about trying to control other people's behaviour (that's a sign of mental illness). It's about controlling yourself, considering the thoughts and feelings of others, and understanding yourself and the world around you. The problem isn't really religion, but that people are stupid. Religious people are stupid with religion. If people would use it right, as a way to become a better person and not as an excuse to be a self-righteous judgmental prick, then religion wouldn't have such an awful reputation. But hoping people won't be stupid with something is the height of folly.

Yesterday on the way home from work. Accident closed one lane on the freeway, and backed up traffic for about a mile. When was the last time you saw a snake? -
