  1. That sounds like a plan! We're still enjoying the Berry Market boysenberry jam. Cost me an extra $5 to get it home on the plane (thanks, TSA), but totally worth it. Knott's is one of the few theme parks I've been to that if I could, I would go back to right now.
  2. Keep in mind that unlike CF and SF, HFE doesn't have a combination season pass. Owning a season pass for Dollywood or SDC entitles you to 50% off single day tickets to the other park. So get the season pass for the one you'd be more likely to visit more often (I'd guess based on geography that'd be Dollywood for you), and then take advantage of the discount for a special trip. Branson's really building up their attractions recently with the Runaway Mountain Coaster, Fritz's Adventure, Branson Ferris Wheel, and the new winery. I've been highly critical of the town as nothing but go-karts and country music shows, but it's reinventing itself, and I like the direction it's going. Hope to see you out here this summer! You've got your priorities straight.
  3. Super excited for more stardust!
  4. We have those same shortbread cookies in the vending machine at my office, and yeah, they're not very good. They're actually not made by Knott's, either. A while back the park licensed the name to Smucker's, who produced their line of jams etc. I don't know if you have those in Canada, but it's a national brand in the States. Their jams are just okay (I hear people rave about it, but Missouri is to jam what California is to wine. Berry farms like what Knott's was originally are everywhere here, and once you've had house jam, nothing from a factory measures up). Anyway, look for the Berry Market brand if you want the real Knott's stuff.
  5. ^ Yes, Universal owns the NBC network, which airs the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Hence why Universal Studios Orlando is building the Tonight Show ride. While we're on that subject, the number of Fallon fans... ...oh, I'm sorry... ...whoo, that's...sorry... ...ok. The number of Fallon fans is much, much greater than the number of roller coaster enthusiasts.
  6. Why doesn't anyone in SoCal understand this!?!? They have a fashion sense? "Fashion sense" is the belief that what a famous person says or does causes clothing made by the very same people in the very same death trap factory in Bangladesh to sell for 5 times as much, none of which will ever go to the people who made it. Yes, I am from the Midwest. How'd you guess?
  7. Welcome, and please do! We don't get a lot of reports from parks outside NA and EU. Luna Park looks like a lot of fun from what I've seen.
  8. Yeah it is. Took them a while, but they did it right.
  9. So anyway.... Went to Branson yesterday. Fritz's Adventure is putting the finishing touches on their parking lot. They're supposed to be opening this weekend, but there's a lot to do still. Lots of people working, though, so hoping them the best! Will definitely be visiting once it's open. Rode the Runaway. It was only my second alpine coaster, the first being at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, MN, this summer. This one is much faster and much more intense. It was fairly slow this afternoon, so I was far enough behind that I could go full speed the whole way, and it really felt wild going that fast. Two double downs produced airtime, and two helices (not a double helix, they're quite a ways apart) produce some pretty extreme laterals. Get down to Branson to ride this!
  10. My vote goes to this thread, which I found by using the search function: http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1415104#p1415104
  11. Most intense one I've been on is Tig'rr at Indiana Beach. It doesn't look like much, but it's awesome. Favourite one, though, would have to be Whizzer. So glad Six Flags keeps this out in the woods.

  13. I play most days, and I've only ever seen one Snorlax. It appeared on my street about a block away from my house one day. Super lucky on that. Otherwise, never even seen one on radar. Gengar doesn't have much HP, but the attacks can be pretty powerful. Also, remember that Normal types cannot actually inflict damage on Ghost types, so that gives it a huge advantage if you're facing one of those.
  14. I've only ever made it with brandy. May have to try a different recipe this year. 9/10 Stephen Colbert
  15. 0/10 There is nothing pleasant about it. Eggnog
  16. I will help save you money, Hard Rock Park closed in 2009 I believe. No need to pay them money. I will help you read. The post you quoted is from 2008.
  17. Never say never. That bridge looks really unstable. I get the feeling that it could collapse at any moment. One of the best parts of the Christmas festival is that Fire in the Hole never closes. Is Blazing Fury the same way?
  18. Granted, but what they actually use more is Common Scents, a new line of hip hop themed scented candles. I wish the world were flat like the old days. Then we could travel just by folding a map.
  19. Took a random cell part out of my bio hw for tonight and threw it in. Still better than Green Lantern Also, 6/10 dinosaurs Ha! Been a while since I studied biology (for non-biology majors). 7/10 Whales
  20. No idea what that is, but 0/10. It sounds unpleasant. Ghosts
  21. I'm Italian. Don't worry, I'm not a Saudi. Yes, I am implying exactly what you think I'm implying. The "current situation" won't affect me whatsoever. It will. It will affect us all.
  22. Well, I've been to quite a few more places in the last couple of years. 2015: Thunderbird-Holiday World Brain Drain-Frontier City 2016: The 5 new rides at Planet Snoopy-Worlds of Fun Storm Chaser-Kentucky Kingdom Valravn-Cedar Point Monster-Adventureland Flying Eagles-Valleyfair! The New Revolution-Magic Mountain Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey-Universal Studios Hollywood Flight of the Hippogriff-Universal Studios Hollywood
  23. Finally going to ride the Runaway in Branson!
