I don't speak German, so I had to read that in translation, but that is quite intriguing. I loved the High Five on Twisted Colossus, but that's a coaster that was designed for the element. This would be quite a challenge to design this coaster to interact with an entirely different one. Do you know if there are plans to modify the Big Dipper to accommodate this, or is the new coaster going to be designed to interact with Big Dipper as it is?

They still use it on all of their launched coasters. Powder Keg, plus the three big S&S launched coasters in the Happy Valley parks, plus one more being built in China for next year. The big ones are still the fastest-accelerating coasters in the world right now. Being one of those "normal people," this is definitely unscientific, but Powder Keg's launch feels more sudden to me. The LSMs feel like the rate of acceleration increases as the launch progresses, whereas Powder Keg feels like the rate of acceleration is fastest right at the beginning, and then the acceleration slows after that. No idea if that's actually true, but hopefully that makes some sense to you. I'd love for some more coasters to be designed with compressed air launches. It's a really fun experience.

DL already allows restaurant reservations up to 60 days in advance. I imagine that the fastpass system would also begin 60 days before your scheduled visit. That's a good compromise time. For people who are travelling long distances, 60 days is pretty much last minute.

I rode Wildcat at AZoosment Park during the short time it was there, and I got up to Cedar Point for the first time ever this year, so I rode Mean Streak about three months before it closed permanently.
