Animals at Themeparks
Homer replied to premierrider's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The only time I saw an animal in a park would have to be at IOA back in 2005. I saw a cute innocent kitten walk around the area near Bluto's Bilge Rat Rapids. It was going into a restricted area and I was hoping the kitten didn't fall in to the rapids ride. It was so cute too, even if it may have rabies. -

Wes you are totally funnier than that Homer guy or even that Axman guy. Axman is a real hoot though. -
At the supermarket I work at, we carry one type of cheese you won't find at any other store. HORSERADISH CHEESE! Might I say, this cheese is nice and spicy! I also like Brie, too. Great and chewy, goes well with Ritz.

I think you should have went with Logo #1. The palm trees make it look pretty. I am very impressed with this park so far, do carry on! I can't wait for tomarro! -
^That CF is announcing its future plans? If anything, I think it is the park trying to improve its image since after 2003. Enthusiasts were pretty steamed about Stealth's removal for a so-so waterpark and removal of some classic rides throughout the past few years with Paramount adding little or no additions. Then a few weeks ago, you had the local press saying that Great America may close and be used for a new stadium for the 49ers. The addition of the wooden coaster kind of 'cements' this park's fate that it is going to stay. Look at Geauga Lake, CF is likely not going to salvage the wooden coasters there except for their trains. Besides, we barely know anything about this wooden coaster except that its a GCI and it is 104 feet tall with speeds of 52 mph. Likely a Renegade clone, but at least the park is finally getting something. Along with some much needed TLC.

^^Umm, if you're a Red Sox fan or a Rockies fan or maybe a fan of baseball in general you would care. As much as I wanted Boston to win in 2004, I really want the Rockies to win. Would have been nice if the Cubs could have made a trip to the World Seires along with the Indians. Oh well, I'm rooting for the underdog. If the Rockies can pull off the World Series, I'll remain a *little* hopeful that the Devil Rays somehow will make it to the playoffs, at least. //Yeah, I said Devil Rays and playoffs in the same sentence. Crazy, isn't it? [EDIT: Damn, Boston is kicking rear end in the bottom of the first. Home Run off the Green Monster and a base hit.]

Another thing to look at, is your Java up to date? I know Java had sent out an update a few weeks ago.

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread

I have a question. Since Dominator was at GL, and it was built into the terrain (the lake), wouldn't the ride need some new supports? Just curious. -
I wonder though, I think it would be kind of cool if the GP could donate personal/homemade ornaments to the park for tree decoration. Then again, it would be a logistical nightmare, but I think it would be kind of profitable if you could have your own ornament on the world's largest Christmas tree. And I echo what everybody else is saying, that's a big tree! I hope the smell of pine tree can be smelt all over the park. I love the smell of Christmas tree.

Dominator track at KD
Homer replied to Clint Novak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Patience young grasshopper, I bet within the next few weeks or so we will have a press release. As for kraxleRIDAH, you have even more spare time than I do. A pat on the back for actually being funny, which is something I try too hard to do. -
B&M Dive Machine for Chimelong Paradise
Homer replied to coastermaniac1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^The problem with that would be the weight of the trains, stress on the tracks, and the G-Forces on certain parts of the train. I doubt a vertical loop will work on a Dive Machine because of the wide trains. -

Busch Gardens' Howl-O-Scream 2007
Homer replied to freestylenut's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That sucks. Funny thing though, in that Radiation Alert 3D house, I had a friend accidentally lean on an actor. Good laugh for all of us. The people in that house have great ninja skills, I admit. -
B&M Dive Machine for Chimelong Paradise
Homer replied to coastermaniac1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Busch had the exclusivity rights for the Dive Machine in America from 2005 to 2007. As of 2008, its fair game. Here's proof for the people who think "Exclusivity rights are myths started by enthusiasts." Maybe the years seem like speculation, but the news story made it seem as clear as mud. http://www.sptimes.com/2004/10/28/news_pf/Business/A_sky_high_nose_dive.shtml -
Nice. Except I don't work at Panera anymore, I work at Sweetbay. Anyways, back on the topic of amusing anecdotes. Here lies smartestcoasterkidever. He stalks a guy that always says "never."

^I have a logical answer for that. The python was a pet, but it was getting too big for its owner to take care of it. Owner carelessly abandons the Python someplace in a swampy area and somehow ends up in the sewers.
-
A python? In a toilet? Unless the pipes were extremely wide, I don't see how a python could make it up there. Maybe a small Black Racer/Garden snake, but a PYTHON?

New Orleans should stay a small/medium sized town much like St. Augustine just for historical purposes. I don't expect New Orleans to go back to being the big city it once was. New Orleans doesn't need a major theme park, if people want a day of fun, they can drive up to Baton Rouge and go to Dixie Landin' or to Kemah in Texas.
