  1. Adventure Island, in comparison to other water parks, is kind of pale and well, old. I wouldn't be surprised if Adventure Island is given the ax sometimes soon because of Aquatica. While Adventure Island has a great selection of slides, other water parks in the Orlando area have basically blown away AI. Aquatica most definitely with having a more diverse selection of slides and atmosphere. Wet N' Wild has a diverse selection. Disney's water parks have theming and atmosphere down. Adventure Island just feels, dated. It's a water park that has no "umph" in it. However, it is something to do, and the park is still fun. But the Orlando parks are much better.
  2. Wow, a LOT has changed at Cedar Point. Did anybody catch the last page? Cedar Point did serve Coke products?
  3. Flight Deck II. Twister II, and its real. Anyhow, glad to see bridge construction has started, I seriously think the bridge may be the coolest element ever on a wooden roller coaster. I can't wait to see it finished!
  4. ^Nickelodeon of course, Disney's Doug was something that shouldn't have existed. Anyways, to me, Hannah Montana is just a fad right now capturing the preteen market. By 2010 or so, I hope she just fizzles out and joins Disney's other teenybopper experiments that nobody remembers. The Amanda Show was freakin' awesome. It was so stupid, random and pointless. But thats what made it so funny. What ever happened to her? Thank God Amanda isn't a crack ho now like Lohan is or knocked up like Jamie Lynn is. And the Amanda Show just grew old, give me Ask Ashley sketches from All That any day.
  5. He got the ax. Why am I unfunny?
  6. ^My trip is going to be a solid 9ish-10ish hours of driving. Depending on Atlanta traffic of course. As for the trip; Sarasota, FL > Valdosta, GA > Atlanta, GA then back to Sarasota. About 7 hrs and 38 minutes according to Google maps. Thanks for the handy advice though!
  7. Everybody needs a weekend away from it all. I didn't know California had more than parks and coked up celebrities. Great TR Jahan.
  8. Guys, you just had to stalk around my turf. Too bad I wasn't there to cruise around the SRQ with you guys.
  9. Colin, in that picture which you looked like a dwarf, you reminded me of this really annoying kid at my workplace. Other than that, great TR. Glad to see the new management taking shape and well, Jahan being a model employee.
  10. ^I lost faith in the hyper rumor already if you're already naming great aunt's friends who works in Switzerland with B&M.
  11. ^ I have to agree. Ice Cream is just sweet when it's cold outside. I was tempted of walking into Coldstone just for the Chocolate Devotion. And Chocolate Devotion = sex.
  12. Poo poo, I hope this rumor doesn't come true. 2009 is the park's 50th anniversary. BGA will have 2 kiddie areas already after Jungala opens up in April. Timbuktu was renovated throughout 2003-04 (why renovate it again and retheme it to Sesame Street) and lastly, we need some ADULT flat rides or possibly a new coaster. Just a BANG in general for the park's 50th anniversary. *kicks back and prays for a B&M Hyper or a flat ride package*
  13. The Chris Farley of the new millennium, he's a good actor that's gone too ahead of his time. He seemed to do an awesome job as Joker and hopefully this does not screw up The Dark Knight or any possible sequels.
  14. That's in the 3rd week of March. There are three credits there which are; some Galaxi clone, a Wacky Worm, and an Orient Express. The fair is operated by Bluegrass Shows. The only bonus credit in Sarasota would have to be riding the electric scooters around the Sweetbay store I work at.
  15. I'll be on my SFOG/WA credit run that weekend. But I hope everybody that goes has an awesome time!
  16. I'm not feeling the epic-ness of a trip to a coffee shop.
  17. ^Actually a change in restaurant plans. I won't stop over at Cafe Risque, instead I will stop at Lake City for some Fu King Chinese! http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g34360-d516440-Reviews-Fu_King_Chinese_Restaurant-Lake_City_Florida.html
  18. I really want the Giants to screw up the Patriots' winning season. They have a good chance, if their last game a few weeks ago was an indication. The Giants just need to stay strong the second half.
  19. God damn, the Alabama freeze was harsh. I was in Mobile the past weekend for personal reasons. Other than that, the video was the definition of epic.
  20. This intrigues me, why would Six Flags want to build NEW parks and sell old parks? Wouldn't that basically end up costing more money to build and manage a new park rather than just selling their "excess parks" and focus on their "core parks?" Either way, this isn't sounding so good for Six Flags. Besides, why'd you think Premier sold off the Europe parks to Walibi in 2004? That was Six Flags' first foray into the worldwide market anyways.
  21. I will have to agree with you. Maybe the reason why some people think "KI was the awesomest park ever before Paramount and CF," is because of childhood memories of when there was a Safari attraction, 80's theming, or The Beast without trims. Parks change all the time, but people and enthusiasts still come back for more every year. If you really hate KI as it is now, just do a personal boycott of it. Other than that, just get used to change, because just about EVERYTHING changes every day/month/year. Sure, you may have a soft spot from the 70's and 80's, but face it. The park's management is doing what is best for the park in terms of numbers. And while enthusiasts are a small niche in their market, the general public always comes first. So what if The Beast got a trim brake or some Hanna-Barbera theming was paved over for Spongebob? The GP barely notices and enthusiasts just go on a rant about "the good ol' days when gas cost less than a dollar and we believed in Reaganomics."
  22. So now the Looping Water Slide has been resurrected for real this time and not just a blueprint on a press release. Holy poo poo...
  23. Man, the Far East has surely been in a roller coaster renaissance of sorts. Just surprising that no wooden coasters have been built yet in China. As for the wooden coaster, interesting layout and looks quite fun.
  24. Again?? I've been waiting (like the rest of you) since last year when I did a reserve on it...thinking it was coming out that summer. Oh well. Just makes March a better month as that's when my offseason comes to an end. I'm a little peeved about this as well. This is what feels like the millionth time a delay has been made for the game, and I've been waiting for this game since the Wii was still called "Revolution" and the game was a "mere hint at E3 2005." And the release dates? 2005: "Revolution Launch" 2006: Unknown, but most estimated 2007. Mid 2007: December 3rd, 2007 Late 2007: February 10th, 2008 Now: March 9th, 2008 My question is, why didn't our release get bumped back a week like Japan's date? Oh well, a little peeved, but at least I'm not waiting for Duke Nukem Forever (which has been in development for 10+ years).
  25. ^Actually Erik, its my second. I visited SFOG in 2004 and only got half of the credits there. However, this will be my first visit to Wild Adventures, so. But I just checked the WA site again, and I wonder if anybody has any advice on concert days. On March 8, there will be a Sugarland concert there. Only you Barry. Only you...
