  1. You know, I might just chime in and saying I'm going in a few weeks with my school. Of course, Fiends will always be around EVERY HOS, even though I still kind of miss Escape From Insanity. On the topic of Halloween events in Tampa, is anybody also doing Zoo Boo at Lowry Park? Yeah, not as big or intense, but at least I'll be a scare actor for one night!
  2. Great TR, Derek. I have to agree with you lot on Maverick, its a little bit of everything that makes an awesome ride. Maybe CF could have themed it a little bit more, but Maverick easily rose to #3 on my list, IMO. As for your hotel room, I think Jahan's room had the Magnum view as well. All of the rooms on the Midwest trip were in the infamous Bon Air section (aka, the "dorm-like rooms"). And I think everybody had a coaster-side room. Halloweekends looked like a decent Halloween event as well. I think the "ride graveyard" is a nice touch.
  3. Maybe Wild Adventures will finally get that B&M. As for Cypress Gardens, I'm still kind of skeptical, but I wouldn't be surprised if it closes soon. It will be kind of a miracle to make the park "good." But, I doubt it will last a few years as a theme park.
  4. I knew my "beta" video wasn't far off.
  5. From last nights couch gag. *Pig sits on couch as the family approaches the couch* Homer: My summer love! *Spiderpig theme plays*
  6. "The Fallen" - Franz Ferdinand.
  7. Several at my old job and not that many at my new job, I'll go with my most notable one, working a near double shift and working an early morning shift the next day. This was back when I was 17, so imagine the gross numbers of labor laws that were broken. I worked at Panera Bread, a yuppie sandwich shop that had less than reliable employees. I started my day at 11 AM and I was supposed to end my shift at 7 PM. After working most of my day shift, the manager tells me that they need somebody to close dining room. I, of course, declined since I had to get up at 5 AM tomorrow morning to open up the restaurant and train a newbie. But, they couldn't call somebody in, so I was forced to close dining room. Cleaning the dining room was a long and very tedious job. I did not get out until midnight that night, I worked 13 hours that day, and I couldn't convince my managers that I wanted off the next morning since I had to train a newbie. That night I only got 4 hours of sleep (would have been 5, but it was daylight savings time ). Then, that morning, I lethargically opened up the store and trained the new guy. It was not until 10 AM that morning when a manager went, "Carl, you look beat. You go off early." After that, I thought to myself, "Thank you God..." and then I just slept the entire day. Most grueling shift ever.
  8. Eh, I could care less. I don't watch her show and probably the only time I have "watched" her was when she voices Fry's girlfriend on Futurama.
  9. Bravo CF, at least you didn't use Steel Venom again.
  10. Alright, fine, I'll fess up and say the video was a total hoax as an attempt to put a dent in Nantimi's "Shining truth armor." The roller coaster footage was taken from a video of a NoLimits coaster called 'Speed - Mission 1' by some guy named Wallryder. You can watch the vid here: The music was the 2-Player select screen from Sonic Adventure 2. So, to the few I fooled about this "beta", you were good entertainment. For those of you who go "You suck at editing videos," keep in mind it was supposed to be a horribly executed joke and I done this in 20 minutes. Maybe if I spent a few hours on it, it could be believable, but eh, I could care less. Its funnier if its half-assed anyways. And then one more thing. It says "No communication to home," not Homer.
  11. ^Because sh*t posts are good posts. Such an oxymoron.
  12. Why don't you stop copying jokes from other websites. It's the only viable comparison. At least I didn't rip off South Park with the pope staring up the Virgin Mary's butt. WHY DOES EVERYBODY THINK I'M STUPID!?
  13. ^You believe Nantimi is real? This drawing sums up the truth value of Nantimi.
  14. I would have to agree with you there. Six Flags did its best against Cedar Point and SFWoA looked like a great Six Flags park, despite Premier's poor management skills. I bet if it was still part of the chain, Shapiro would have easily sunk some dough into it and given it almost the same treatment as SFDK did. The animals were a major draw and I think Dick Kinzel admitted that taking out the animals was one of his big screwups with Geauga Lake. Oh well, RIP Geauga Lake. You looked like such a nice park, but all good things must come to an end.
  15. (to FeeltheFORCE) No, Chiller has always been a mechanical nightmare for SFGAdv. A brief timeline of Chiller's notable mechanical issues. 1997- ride opens and operates for one week before closing again due to trouble with the LIM technology (which the technology was still in its infancy back then for its use on coasters). 1998- ride reopens and operates. However, there have been reports over time about the ride using so much technology that it causes brownouts at times. [Then again, I think this myth has been said about many LIM rides] 2006- Ride de-rails, down for the rest of the season. 2007- Zero-G rolls removed. Then, a few months later, removal.
  16. ^But, Hershey emailed it to Scott and I. After all, I think Hershey would trust us with said announcement. Just like Nantimi did with their beta 3D model for the ride.
  17. My theory is, the only possible reason as to why Maverick wasn't an Aquatrax was solely for capacity and train reasons. Since Maverick uses traditional Intamin rocket trains with OTSR's, Maverick would have a higher capacity with the regular rocket trains than the Aquatrax trains.
  18. Scott, I got that same e-mail too. Holy crap that ride looks awesome!
  19. Guys, the video is a beta, as in not the final product. There's bound to be some bugs and they are currently being fixed. Don't blame me, blame Nantimi.
  20. I got another e-mail from Nantimi today, and its a video. Supposedly, its a beta for Hersheypark's new ride. I don't know the name, but its a beta of the 3D model. hpclientbeta.wmv Nantimi beta for Hersheypark.
  21. Not just rough, just think of sitting on a jackhammer for 2 1/2 minutes with sluggish operations. I just hope that rumor of Millennium Flyers on Gwazi comes true.
  22. 1. It sounds lame. 2. It would be too costly if you think of it and I doubt a network would want to air it. Then again, this sounds better than Chris Crocker getting his own TV show since he became "famous" for his "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!" video.
  23. Another nice water attraction for Holiday World's decent water park. If anything, it should be a shoo-in for the Golden Tickets in '08! Now for that steel looping coaster... if that will EVER happen. That's when I will consider Holiday World "complete."
  24. As long as this park does not have rap battles happening on a consistent basis, I'll visit it.
  25. '97 Volvo 850. Still runs darn good nearing 200K miles. No matter how boxy it is, its nice and safe.
