  1. Cedar Fair paved over the lettering. The reason why that was removed was due to CF not owning the rights to use Batman or other DC comics on theme park attractions. From those GLT pictures, the lack of Dominator's loop and cobra roll already make the park skyline feel empty.
  2. A Mountain Dew from a soda machine, $1.
  3. Wheres 3D Space Cadet Pinball (one of the default Windows games)? Aside from that horrible joke, a nice offbeat TR. Pinball will always be one of those games that once in a while I wouldn't mind throwing down a few quarters on.
  4. Compact coasters in general. Scorpion at BGA - the helix has a few headchoppers, as well as the turnaround. Galaxi/Wild Mouse coasters - the supports and quick drops make nice illusions.
  5. ^It has been owned by a corporation, it was run by Adventure Parks LLC (1996-2007). Then, just about a month ago, Wild Adventures was bought by the Herschends (which own Dollywood, Silver Dollar City, and a few other parks). Aside from that, great TR of Wild Adventures! Glad you had an awesome time, beside Cheetah's rough rides.
  6. The greatest game ever made of all time. Read the Indiana Beach update for more info.
  7. ^Fried Zombie Brains = Elephant Ears. I Visited Elitch's back in summer 2006 (while it was still SF) and had pretty much the same experience you had except for the fact Boomerang was closed. Half Pipe was the second best ride in the entire park. Don't tell me it has actually gotten rougher. All HP did for me was some nice ejector and some sore shoulders and thats it. If I ever get around to Denver, I'll be sure to do another mini credit run to EG and do Lakeside at night. Great TR though!
  8. SheiKra (floorless) at BGA The floorless trains added a little more fun to it, but I still thought it was unnecessary.
  9. ^At least its not an F (if a 60 is a minimum for a D in your area). Costume party tonight, Howl-O-Scream tomorrow night. Hell yeah.
  10. *bump* Remember that dirt picture? Well, CP finally announced what it is. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/blog/index.cfm (scroll down) However, this doesn't discourage a new ride/improvement...
  11. You know, I'm surprised a mod hasn't used this old thing thats been floating around the internet. Although it was primarily made for another forum, I think it hammers in the key points more effectively. http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/posting
  12. No, not at all. As Bryan stated above, it would be an insurance companies worst nightmare. The ride would be as comfortable as riding a Toboggan. Secondly, everybody knows drat well no 2 people are really alike. Even with fancy doo-dads and whatsits, I doubt parks would really think its "safe" for a coaster to have gaps. The closest thing ever to a "gap coaster" would have to be Vekoma's Thrill Lift/Tilt coaster. I think the safety risk might have been the reason why it never took off in the first place.
  13. This Saturday is definitely going to be crowded. There is going to be a Circle K gathering in Tampa and just about most of the participants have HOS tickets. Its going to be packed yet awesome.
  14. Yes. Did you drink Vitamin Water this past week?
  15. Xbox 360 if all you want are pretty graphics and online gaming. Wii if all you want are innovative, fun games with some top notch games coming soon. I admit, I haven't touched my Wii in ages, but I think that is going to change once Galaxy and Brawl comes out.
  16. Magnum XL 200 and Demon at SFGAm are two of the smoothest and most fun Arrow coasters I have ever been on. The theming on Demon is also great and well-kept for a ride of its age.
  17. I feel like TPR doesn't know me aside from negative gossip and "lol, bowl cut" jokes. Age: 18 Middle Name: Eric Pet Peeve: Loud Noises. 18. ^ http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-276757.html This was the 2003 incident, I'm pretty sure there's another topic on here about the one that happened a few months ago.
  19. All I can say is "Deja Vu." This isn't the first time a usual breakdown on this exact coaster has made headlines because "OMG it was stuck on the lift/cobra roll!" It also made headlines a few months ago and back in 2003 (and that bit of news went national). I wouldn't be surprised if Two Face is removed in the future.
  20. TGI Fridays dinner for $16. Mmm; Fried Mac n Cheese, Chicken Tenders, and Oreo Cake.
  21. ZooBoo is an annual Halloween event held at Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa that is a great family friendly alternative to HHN and HOS. Most of the workers were either volunteers from local college clubs like the Circle K (me) or part-time workers that were mostly unmotivated. A few weeks ago, I got presented an opportunity that I doubt anybody would want to say "no" at. That opportunity? A scare actor for a haunted house. While The Bowl is creepy as is, fast forward to yesterday afternoon. After dealing with the good fun of getting lost on the Crosstown and Dale Mabry, then the fun of Tampa traffic on "Malfunction Junction" (where 275 and 4 meet), my group was late to ZooBoo. The result? All the scare actor positions taken and being left with the choice of either ticket taking or being a ride operator. Of course, being the nerd I am, my friends and I signed up for ride operator positions. That night, my friends and I operated a ride called the "Muster." It was a little kids monster trucks ride with goats in the middle. However, the entire time, we all felt like we were "excess baggage." We helped little kids get in the cars and strapped them in while an unmotivated worker just pushed the buttons. In the meantime, it started to rain and since Muster was an electric tracked ride, the ride was closed for the night as with most of the other rides. So, my friends and I ended up having a free ride to ZooBoo and we got to check out most of the things they had to offer. On to the part people care about a little more, the houses: Shipwrecked! (7/10) Shipwrecked was a decent house that attempted to have a backstory of sorts, but for the most part the house felt like it was too short. I know this event was not supposed to be extreme like HHN and HOS. But for the most part the scares were decent. Factory of Living Fear (8/10) If anything felt slightly creepy and seemed like a moderate house at HOS, this was it. It had a decent length and TONS of strobes and animatronics. The scares were slightly creepier and a few animatronics got me scared as well. Not bad for a zoo that does not really have a budget. Unearthed! Secrets of the Museum (7.5/10) Somewhat decent scare wise, but it felt like it could have used a few more scare actors. But the part where you're stuck in a hallway with no lights startled me a little bit and the house was also well themed too. Midway Madness (4/10) This house seemed like it would be scary if you were under the age of 8 and kind of a disappointment at the same time. For one, there were absolutely NO scare actors. And two, it was nothing more but a walk through of some clown statues and a spinning barrel illusion in the beginning. I have to give this some credit for being a family event and I'm sure it will spook young kids, but don't expect much. That was basically all of the haunted houses. Spooky Trails was closed and Little Tyke Boo House seemed too scary for us, so for the rest of the night we hung out on the carousel. By about 9 PM the park was dead and so it was nothing more but everybody waiting until 11 to leave. All in all, despite setbacks, I had a great time. On to the part people would actually read, the photos. And whats a better way to end a Halloween TR than with a picture of a Pumpkin. HOS next week. Thanks for reading! CHOOSE A CAPTION 1) While Scott's TR of the zoo had cute Pandas, I had demonic Pandas instead. 2) Staring contest. Go on, you can beat him. The list of houses. As you can see, this event is a family friendly alternative to the extreme events of HHN and HOS. Nearby was also a skyride that was running empty almost the entire time. Don't be a dope, you can't eat the soap! I smiled. The station of the Muster ride. This kids area was decently themed as well. The Muster ride had a nice Ram habitat in the middle. Instead of scaring, tonight the Bowl will be stapling children. Ooooo, scary indeed. And we're finally here! And after 20 minutes of bumper to bumper, theres our exit! No, I won't. Rush hour traffic.
  22. I was at ZooBoo last night (as a ride op unfortunately) and the night was rained out by 8:30. Although this did give our group time to do all the haunted houses! I'll post a TR later. Zoo Boo wasn't half bad for a mix between HOS and MNSSHP and what they did with a modest budget.
  23. I like the burn on the "one click" picture. Sorry Matteo. Can't wait for the final installment. At least you didn't succumb to an Intamin ride being in your top 3.
  24. Small world, my parents were up at Martha's Vineyard a few weeks ago. It does look like a nice place, but that's all I can say. That Zoltar machine looks awesome though.
  25. ^Soren, I think I found a link just for you. http://www.westcoaster.net/community/index.php?showtopic=15975&view=findpost&p=274192
