  1. Be thankful to the Japanese and their gadgets, escalators, and TOGO rides! We gave them the A-Bomb, they got us Manhattan Express and Windjammer.
  2. Who's going to be the first one to post a Black Friday Photo TR. I've seen the ad for Target already, but since I work there, there isn't that much that I need. Best Buy usually has some good deals, but the lines are rediculously long. Wal-Mart I will avoid at all costs. I might hit OfficeMax, but their "sales" usually mean rebates that mysteriously get lost in the mail. As for dinner, hopefully it won't be a microwave meal this year.
  3. I thought their slogan was "Challenge Everyone". I'm challenged enough from Sims crashing randomly without warnings or error messages. I wonder why they never fixed the "naked DJ" bug in Vacation. Also, anyone seen the new Sims "complete" collection? In case you didn't buy all seven expansion packs, you can get them all in one package now.
  4. I've got a lot of retro stuff on my phone. I've got more ringtones than friends unfortunately. MID ringtones: James Bond, Gulligan's Island, Gauntlet (video game), Apogee fanfare (for all your retro PC gamers), Commander Keen, Tetris (Gameboy) Several Mario tunes along with some other retro games, Halo, Several 80's tunes (many in GTA:VC), Under Pressure (by Queen), Pride (U2), Thomas the Tank Engine theme (I remember coming home from 'kindy' to watch Playschool, Rainbow, Postman Pat, and Thomas when I was four.) Did I mention that I had a Thomas birthday cake on my seventh birthday? Ninja Turtles (the original theme song), Something So Strong (Crowded House), Slice of Heaven (if you've ever been to NZ, you would recogize this song), Pressure Down (John Farnham), Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd), Jet Airliner (Steve Miller), Twist and Shout/Revolution (Beatles) MP3 ringtones: The GTA3 pager ringtone (and a few other tunes imported from GTA) Young Lust (Pink Floyd) HAL saying "There is a message for you" "We're on a road to nowhere" (Talking Heads) Pacman I have Robb and the gang to thank for the wallpaper
  5. Is it just me or is anyone else getting a "The operation timed out while attempting to contact www.themeparkreview.com" when attempting to download the videos? Edit: I can't seem to be able to see any pictures in posts either. They will show up as a place holder, and then after a few seconds show the filename. Other graphics work fine, such as the ones on the front page.
  6. I've pretty much done mine. Got a good soundtrack in mine (it won't be offensive to anyone, but it syncs almost perfectly). WMM seems to be able to import everything fine, but it isn't smart enough to trim the clips into scenes properly and cut out the black screen. If it sucks, then it's because it's a Vekoma. As a side note, does anyone know of a good (aka. "free") WMV->MPG converter?
  7. There's nothing wrong with Windows Movie Maker, even though it's nothing compared to commercial products like Premier. I can do some fairly cool stuff with it. The sound editing leaves much to be desired, but you can mix music and adjust the volume.
  8. I like what Robb and Elissa do where they use one thread, and when they post an update, they will announce the update, and also post a quick link to it on the first post.
  9. If you select "All the small things" as music, you should at least have more footage of the castle! Other than that, fairly well done. Compared to R&E's videos, this one seems to place more emphasis on the park than on the people.
  10. Mine would have to be Space Mountain at WDW. I only got to ride one side as the lines were an hour or so long. First inverting coaster was Scorpion at BGT.
  11. I think I've got you beat: a: - 3.5 floppy, still use it from time to time c:-g: - 200gb Serial ATA partitioned j:, l:, m:, n: o: - "52 in one" digital media reader p:,q:, r:, s: - 120gb plugged into USB 2.0 port, also partitioned h:, k: - virtual drives (I lost my original RCT2 CD, but fortunately kept a backup) i: - DVD+R drives t: - external CD-RW
  12. Here are some you might want to add: Mr. Six related Elissa's Stateline (you know the one). Here's another one. Just a Boomerang though A fine example of Vekoma engineering (you might need to get copyright permissions though)
  13. They own a stake in Seiyu Group, which is probably a similar format.
  14. The Target I work at had one in yesterday. Graphics are very clear, but since it was hooked up to a digital hi-def, the graphics probably won't be as good on a standard TV. I'm not sure whether or not I should get one (I get an employee discount), considering that I've only got an old fashioned 19" TV (alongside a digital 5.1 surround sound system). Maybe when Halo 3 hits the shelves.
  15. IOA did an impressive job with Dueling Dragons. There isn't much you can do to a B&M inverted frame. The OTSR's on the front cars are pink to represent the "tongue" of the dragons. Gwazi at BGT: BGT considered standard woodie trains "boxy", so they took standard PTC trains and gave them a lively paint job.
  16. I buy most of my clothes from Target. Almost everything else is freebies from job fairs, t-shirts from theme parks, etc.
  17. Well mine's a ∞D with a maximum speed of c. It's also an inverted pipeline water standup floorless dueling flying wooden launched ride complete with cup holders, snack bar, five star hotel, gigabit Internet access, private bathrooms, donkey petting zoo, Walmart supercenter, McDonalds, real time webcams, 50 screen cinema and high stakes casino. Did I also mention that it's made by Togo and is smooth as glass.
  18. For the Tweedy debate, I remember watching a segment on Cartoon Network sometime back about "interviews" with the characters. Sylvester said that if he ever caught Tweedy, he would "give him back his wallet he lost three years ago" or something like that. As for the blueprints, do CJ did in GTA-SA: trigger the fire alarm.
  19. I think a custom rig would be the best way to go. You can salvage the good parts from your old comp and upgrade the motherboard, CPU, video, etc. I tend to buy most of my parts from www.tigerdirect.com Also, how did your old comp "crash". Did the hard drive make strange noises, the system simply refuse to power up, or is there smoke coming out of the power supply?
  20. 42%, barely. Also, I didn't answer the first question, because I don't pronounce it any of those ways.
  21. I remember seeing him on Discovery (riding Medusa, the one with grass under it), and chatting with him via both AIM (I've still got his screen name on my contact list) and RRC (we were discussing how the cover art was partially computer generated and whether Mindbender @ SFOG had three loops). I was probably 15 at the time, and I've still got my copy somewhere. Maybe it will be worth something in the future. Anyone know what happened? Also as a side note, I have some remnants of the B&M Info Center (Steve Nuss's page, referenced in the RRC thread) stored on my PC.
  22. What's sad is that I've been a Gator for four years, and I have yet to go to a game in the Swamp (or the O-Dome for that matter). I've been up the Century Tower, had my picture taken by the French Fries, and realized that that rock in Turlington Plaza is in fact a piece of dinosaur poop. I think something's wrong with me.
  23. It's great to be a Florida Gator (even if they did switch to Pepsi this year) I had to work during the game, and the most I saw of it was of what people dropped off in film at work today.
  24. I went on a trailer mounted one at a travelling fair in the UK. Fits Robb's description very well. The storyline was non-existant and the picture quality was horrible.
