  1. Here in sunny north Florida,it's 58 degrees F outside. No snow at the moment but in rare cases there could be some when it gets really cold.
  2. I did find Cedar Point, Knotts, and a few others. Not only did I find Disneyland, but I also found the castle too (it's difficult to see unless you REALLY zoom in) Anyone found any hidden Mickeys? There's one just west of California Screaming
  3. Since you're not going to Parque Espana, you may want to consider this 'attraction' when you're in Hong Kong. Impressive in its own ways. Depending on the type of person you are, it can be one, twenty, or twenty three credits. link
  4. The only site I've had problems with is when using Firefox is MSN. Other than that I haven't had too much trouble. For a while, I couldn't view images in Firebox, but the same thing occured in Internet Explorer I did try downloading 1.5, but it wouldn't load, so I had to roll back to 1.0 (though I've got a huge border on the bottom of the window I can't get rid of).

If you're having trouble with the gallery, you may want to [temporarily] disable pop-up blocking software and/or plugins. If your browser does not support (or have enabled) Java/scripts/etc. you will also have problem
  6. ^ Where are the boobs? http://www.themeparkreview.com/vegas05/vegas2.htm 'nuff said.
  7. Since the topic seems to be boobs, this one will do Not the one that most of us have seen, but basically the same thing.
  8. I won't post any more pics of you. I'll save everything for the UK trip. But I did have the urge to post this picture. "Robb Alvey's Coaster Season 2001 and 25 minutes of DDR" "More Mouse Tales" - Is that about rodents...or that place with the small castle? "Roller Coasters of America" - I have that book somewhere, although what bugs me was that they couldn't count the inversions on Kumba. As for me, I've got A Kraken "first to ride" tag (I had a Gwazi one too, but it's somewhere on Montu's lift hill) A handful of books, including Robert Coker's (it has Windjammer on the cover, ouch!) and Roller Coaster Lover's Companion by the late Steven Urbanowitz. A handful of on-ride photos (Hulk, Kumba, Oblivion, among others) 2 Knex Rippin' Rocket kits (when I get the time I'll build something from them) RCT cd's (somewhere). I remember getting RCT2 at Target before it was supposed to be relased A ton of T-shirts, including Gwazi and Kraken. Two Oblivion sweatshirts Hours and hours and hours of Discovery Channel footage. Just ignore that blue box in the middle. I can't get rid of it when I have my video capture going.
  9. Flew Virgin back in 1999 SNES games in every seat! W00t! If I can, I'd like to fly Virgin on the UK trip.
  10. 1 - Montu 2 - Nemesis 3-4 - Dueling Dragons Don't have a #5 yet.
  11. I saw two dragons mating in the sky too...if you call it mating
  12. I found the one with Elissa and Ian too. I had a tape full of one season of Discovery shows and I didn't know I had this one on here. I can post some screenshots if it's okay with Elissa (I'm sure Robb will be cool about it) Is the purpose of this show to: a. Introduce Ian to coasters b. Tell the GP about coasters c. A glorified excuse to credit whore?
  13. If you capture it into your PC, you can select if you want to capture PAL or NTSC footage. Once it's in your PC, it doesn't matter. It's just a video file. On a side note: Does anyone know of any [free] program that converts movie files to DVD video? I have Nero, but it refuses to actually burn DVD movies. Also another question: I got a $30 wide angle lense from Best Buy, but the included connectors do not fit my camera. Where can I buy an adapter? It works fine with duct tape, but I'd prefer a more permanent solution.
  14. Sorry to bring back an old topic, but after digging through my old VHS tapes... Enjoy! I'll post more if I find them. Elissa on More Top Ten Coasters. She narrates Montu. First saw this show in 2001, long before I knew about credits, donkeys, and the stateline. Robb, and Elissa (I assume) on Top Ten Coasters 2002 Robb, Top Ten Coasters 2002
  15. A little late for Halloween, but still amusing. Taken from the game room at the UF student union. (Elissa and anyone else who's been to UF will recognize this) Here lies Ron Zook (that's a DDR Extreme in the background)
  16. For me, it's ants, mosquitos, and basically any of those small flying pests, especially those that bite. Dogs - Fine. My parents have four and they're a lot of fun Rodents - No problems with them
  17. A quick and dirty way to upload (using Windows XP, sorry Mac/98/ME users) is by using the interface built directly into Windows. Try typing "ftp://videocontest@themeparkreview.net" into any Explorer window. Due to limitations in Windows, the @ symbol can't be directly entered as a username, but if the above address is used, a dialog box should show up prompting for the correct username/pw If all goes as planned, you can simply drag and drop the file to upload it. Keep in mind that Robb will pull them off as they come off (to prevent others from downloading other people's submissions) After entering the correct username and password, the following should show up. Enter ftp://videocontest@themeparkreview.net into an Explorer window and the following should show up
  18. My parents first got phones through Radio Shack (never again) and then used Voicestream for a few weeks. Their coverage wasn't good enough so they switched to Verizon. Earlier this year when they moved, they dumped Verizon for Cingular due to (again) lack of coverage. Haven't had any problems with Cingular so far, and the phones we got are fairly nice. They have cameras, and while not terribly fancy, they are good for capturing a quick moment According to the local Albertsons, Christmas and Hanukkah are combined this year. Taken with the camera phone Cingular billboard "We bleed orange and blue too! Go Gators! Cingular". Taken with the phone from a moving bus.
  19. WTF? When did they turn Scorpion into an Arrow Corkscrew? You lose points for insulting a Schwarzkopf! Also, Kumba is intentionally loud, and most of the old-school B&M's will have that distinctive roar. Kumba is actually the Congo word for roar.
  20. The only one I'm familiar with is the Thunderbolt at Dreamworld. It was scapped because it was such a rough ride. All the rest are in Japan, China, and Korea. http://www.rcdb.com/installationresult.htm?column=1,10,30,3,26,4,5&order=1,2&contact=156
  21. I'm sure if you ask Robb and Elissa nicely, they might let you use some photos of Rattums Do you need a clip-art image or a photo?
  22. I'd like An Intamin Woodie (my family has some land that would be perfect, but I'm not sure if Santa will be able to carry one on his sleigh) A job for after graduation Good friends
  23. I slept throught much of the action. When I arrived at work (Target) at 9:30, we only had eighteen registers going, and since we had more carts this year, we didn't run out either. I'm not sure how we did in sales, but we were around $450k at 2pm. After work (around 6) I hit Best Buy to see if that 1GB SD card was still in stock. Suprisingly it was, and there were a few other good deals (and they let me get an adjustment on the six pack DV tapes I got three days earlier for twice the price...UK here I come!) and the registers were almost a "walk-in".
  24. I get a headache just by watching that footage. What happened to all the cussing and swearing in this one?
