  1. I haven't bought any books in years I have Robert Coker's book (the original one with the TOGO Death Machine on the cover) Roller Coaster Lover's Companion by Steven U Roller Coasters of America Roller Coasters - Enthusiast Color Series I've got a few DVD's too, including America's Greatest Roller Coaster Thrills - Ultimate Scream Machines (before Robb's DVD's, they were the best out there)
  2. I've never been big on literature. It took all the fun out of reading. Fortunately I haven't had to do any literature in college
  3. I have memories of Rugrats (when they were in diapers) Doug Rocko's Modern Life Legends of the Hidden Temple Clarissa Explains It All (though I never really watched it) Pete & Pete GUTS U to U What Would You Do Double Dare/Family Double Dare
  4. That's one more Wii than my Target store has received in the last few weeks Why does your mom need a Wii anyway?
  5. Knowing Six Flags, they might just let it rot in a parking lot somewhere. That's what happened to all of Astroworld's rides, Zonga/Thriller/Tornado, and Greased Lightning
  6. I was thinking of Drinking Fountain Enthusiast, but I think that "Proud owner of the last XXL Donkey Shirt" might be better
  7. Also, a lot of the music videos have extra sound mixed in such as voices, etc. I believe there's some sort of Fair Use rational in there somewhere.
  8. When going to EPCOT, you -Take the Beverly Challenge -Attempt to get the Spaceship Earth "credit" -Visit Soren -Complain about that "magic wand"
  9. From Windows Movie Maker -Select Tools from the top menu -Select "Options" -Choose 16:9 from under Video Properties I've done it many times without any problems
  10. Actually, Orient Express was an Arrow
  11. I don't have a vehicle, so Erik Johnson will give me a ride, but only if he has enough room in the van (alongside empty wine boxes and random store fixtures) The seat we had on Soarin' was on the right side, top row, left seats (last in line at the entrance). We had a reasonable view of the screen from there.
  12. As close as I live to WDW, I have only visited some of the parks only recently. Up until now, I had not visited EPCOT since 1995 (before Test Track opened) and I only had one of the Space Mountain credits. Space Mountain - I don't remember it being as "rough" as it used to be. Not rough in Vekoma Death Machine, but just a little shaky Peoplemover/TTA/Metroliner - I got a POV of this that I might post in the future Test Track - Fun ride, floor it! Mission Space - I didn't die on it, nor did I get sick! Soarin' - Actually a fun ride with some nice effects. Make sure you line up closest to the wall (the right side of the entrance to the auditorium) to get the best view I finish this off with Erik Johnson getting another bathroom credit. DRINKING FOUNTAIN CREDIT!!! I have enough trouble drinking generic soda It is required to take the Beverly Challenge We returned to Soarin' to find a "50 minute wait" A 1:1 scale picture of the Disneyland castle Some of the nighttime lighting Good Tower is visible from the World Showcase This is supposed to be Norway, but I don't see any sign of Speed Monster or Thundercoaster. They did have a Dan Friendly water-ride however (a little bit like Valhalla) Germany by night Hey Ryan, wish you were here Sören had a five minute wait, which was much less Soarin' had a 45 minute wait, so we decided to hold off for later. We actually ran into Carlos (Frade) on the way Next up was Soarin' Anyone know if DiveQuest is any good? We just had to do the Finding Nemo dark ride Mission Space had a reasonably short line This reminds me of 2001 - A Space Odyssey. Now if only they could spin it a little faster and make it into a ride Mission Space at night Test Track at night (sorry, I didn't feel like lugging a tripod around with me) This reminds me of a time I visited someone's apartment. Insert dummy joke here Last time I was here, this was a dark ride Anyone know if Robb ever got that credit? Spaceship Earth is just how I remembered it back in 1995 Time to take the monorail to EPCOT I still miss Take Flight The "launch". The sides of the trains are "charged" by a series of black-lights before this portion of the ride Here's a shot of the track 15 or so minutes later, they turned the lights back off and started the ride up again. If you look closely, you can see the Peoplemover trains Unfortunately the ride broke down as we neared the front of the line Yay for Fastpass I've got a credit to get Before the March Florida meet, the last time I was here this area would have contained Timekeeper and Alien Encounter At least I tried... We got in as the parade was finishing, so it was fairly crowded Here's one for all the monorail enthusiasts out there (I myself signed up for the Monorail Society) Of course, in typical TPR fashion, we have to eat My home country, home to an Arrow Corkscrew and two kiddie credits! (though I don't have any of them) I also got the second of the "Jeff Johnson Credits". One of the ride-ops is a regular here at TPR I have posted several Universal TR's recently, so I will only cover the good stuff in this one, like Vekoma rides The day started out at IOA. As expensive is parking is, it's still less than Six Flags plus everyone parks in the parking garage
  13. I can't have faith in a mall that uses a Boomerang as part of its logo. Did these guys cut a huge deal with Vekoma?
  14. Even without people vandalizing (which usually gets reversed within a few minutes) or inserting spam links, TPR is on Wikipedia Can anyone spot the diabetic in the Vekoma SLC article? If so, e-mail Dan Notice anything in the Deja Vu article? Any other Vekoma rides? How about "Motorbike Coaster" What's that I see in the second row of the Vekoma Roller Skater? And don't bother vandalizing the LiseJoeBanan page as it's been done before
  15. You've got a better set of woodies than what we have in Florida, and Balder is only a short flight away. Wood mice are extremely rare, and you guys have (or at least had) two of them. Also, can one of our nice moderators move this to the correct forum?
  16. This beats anything on engrish.com
  17. http://www.nydailynews.com/front/breaking_news/story/475336p-399820c.html Looks like the owners of Astroland will continue to lease and operate the Cyclone. Not sure about the Wonder Wheel and Parachute Tower, as neither were owned by Astroland
  18. ^ I hate to say it, but the person who added the link has a history of vandalism and adding "linkspam" (many of them to TPR, which is actually quite embarrassing). I'd expect that user to have all his links removed and get blocked again. Tracing the IP leads to Activision. Maybe a friend of Robb's?
  19. I could post mine, but nobody would be able to read it
  20. I believe the Cyclone is considered a New York City Landmark and is on the National Register of Historic Places http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cyclone
  21. Elissa even had her "own" show on Discovery Channel several years ago. As far as I know, they haven't been on it since (the only footage now is recycled footage, along with Paul Ruben and his favorite SLC). Robb has been on a few shows too, and has had his ACEr sized helping of air-time (no pun intended) As for posting screen-caps and video, don't post anything...unless you have footage of Fatty Patch Jacket Robb!
  22. Heres a possible theory: They need more menu items at Thorpe Park It's finger licking good!
  23. Don't forget, you need to write "DUDE" on the fist!
  24. Erik's video brings back the memories, especially those #$%^ basketballs. Also, I never did get that drinking fountain credit.
  25. Wait! Do I see coasters? Also, whose Wii were you playing with?
