  1. I enjoy Hulk's "Everything looks good. I think...I think this time it's going to work!" "Warning! Fluid levels dropping" "Nooooooooo!"
  2. Has anyone seen his van recently?
  3. I think it's quite an accomplishment when you get Dan to post in your thread. I nominate Coney Beach Personally, I don't eat very often at most parks, as it's too expensive.
  4. I can get a free (legal) copy through the university. Tried to download it, only to find that one of the files was corrupted. I'm still waiting for them to re-activate the download. If I get it installed, I will post my experiences
  5. Reminds me of this label I saw on Speed: In addition, from my "lost" IOA/SWF TR, other strange objects people attempt to smuggle onto coasters:
  6. ^ Supposedly he's lost some weight since then
  7. Magnum is sinking: Plausible...or is it confirmed? Elissa eats only plain pasta and McDonalds: Busted - She eats skinned hot-dogs too Vekoma rides hurt a lot: Confirmed Robb is the real father: Busted
  8. Actually I think it's quite appropriate - Every time you see one, it's broken down BTW: Shouldn't this thread be moved to the Donkeys forum?
  9. It seems that a lot of SLC's are appropriately named Traumatizer (but it's being moved anyway) Mind Eraser Hangman (themed to a hanging?) Lethal Weapon (murder?) Blackout Gauntlet (is it your head running the gauntlet while getting hit from both sides?) Top Gun Vampire (it'll bash your brains in and suck your blood?) Great Nor'Easter Blue Tornado Cobra
  10. ^ I'd be up for a Fantazyland add-on!
  11. Best: Nemesis Dueling Dragons Hulk Montu Oblivion Worst: Scream! (I've never been on it, but it's built over a freaking parking lot!)
  12. I had a Canon ZR-200 that recently drew its last breath. It has died several times, but not because of the rides I took it on initially. It first died because of a common manufacturer defect. I sent it back for repairs, got it back, and had the exact same problem. Sent it back again, and worked fine for a while. Took it on the UK trip on many of the rides (including Megablitz, Speed, and a handful of log flumes). The next time it died was on the Wheel of Death at Southport. I didn't actually take the camera on the wheel, I just had it sitting on the side. It suffered a minor fall (maybe a foot or so) and then refused to power up in record mode after that. When I got back to the US, I tried powering it up again and it suddenly worked again. It finally died several weeks ago at Disney World. I took it on Kali River Rapids (as it was a "Dan friendly" water ride), but the camera got a little wet It continued to work, but it wouldn't accept tapes. Later that day, it died completely. A biopsy revealed some minor water damage to the metal, but the main damage was the battery short circuiting. I've been looking for a good replacement. Anyone know how reliable the Elura 100 is? I want something that shoots true 16x9 (not cropped 4x3), and takes DV tapes. Night shooting would be nice, but anything is better than the "night" mode my ZR200 had. Edit \/ KidTums. Oh yeah, I have an Elura 100 now
  13. One more reason to fly Virgin: Even Non-German-Tom's had the pleasure of spending eight hours with her!
  14. You've also made Uncyclopedia (a parody of Wikipedia) http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Roller_coaster (which has quite a few TPR references actually)
  15. I'm still waiting for mine, but I ordered some DVD's too, so I can understand it taking longer
  16. I've had this one for a long time The Far Side is usually good to begin with though
  17. I went down to WDW yesterday with Erik Johnson to hit a few Disney parks. I know that there are tons of WDW TR's posted, but I've thrown in a few little surprises too. Animal Kingdom -Took a few POV's on the rides -Yeti-Ball has cloned himself! -I got the other Primeval Whirl credit -Kali River Rapids helped to finish off my video camera (which died again). It had also died on the Wheel of Death at Southport, but I think it's time for a new camera -We saw animals this time (the last time I visited, the only animal we saw was Robb) Magic Kingdom -Rode both sides of Space Mountain. Front seat is impressive - lots of headchoppers. Jerky, but smooth -Splash Mountain was closed. I got a shot of the empty ride but the picture didn't come out. Sorry Dan -Pooh - I had never ridden Mr. Toad, but Erik suggested I ride this. Okay ride, but nothing spectacular -Small World - We thought it would be a good idea, but they were stacking boats back to the coaster section. I've still got that song stuck in my head -Thunder Mountain - Even the Fastpass line was long -Jungle Cruise - I think some of the skippers felt more at home on Jaws. Our skipper even bashed Disney a little bit -Dole Whip Thank you for reading. Suggestions, comments, criticisms, etc. are appreciated It takes a whole stack of Disneyland castles to fill the display X-mas tree at night The castle at night Main Street by night So what is this brainfreeze stuff you tell me of? Another TPR/Disney tradition Our skipper was really into it, mentioning locations of the future Disney gift stores, that is does cost an arm and a leg to visit the park, and the anti-aircraft hippos Jungle Cruise at night was an interesting experience. Ever been to www.coasterporn.com? I hadn't ridden Pirates since 1997. I took some pictures, but they didn't come out very well. This ride also has some Hidden Donkeys Tombstones? Isn't that a brand of pizza? Haunted Mansion was running well, though some of the soundtrack needs some work It's Donkey-Ball Until they start stacking the boats like Knott's Berry Farm. Talk about torture It seems innocent enough I've done this ride before, but we did it anyway. I had yet to do Mr. Pooh's Wild Ride This is the famed "Donkey restroom" Alton Towers had a zip-line on its castle as well The original design for EPCOT didn't call for a giant golf ball, or a magic wand for that matter On ride of the Peoplemover. I'm assuming that this ride uses some form of LIM's Disney has several "Hidden Donkeys" throughout the parks It's the Peoplemover...THROUGH THE TREES!! One of Elissa's friends was here, but as soon as I mentioned Balder he wouldn't speak to me again MK's Christmas tree The north wing (?) is still standing We spent the rest of the day at Magic Kingdom Yet more Christmas stuff Finally got that other Primeval Whirl credit What kind of theming is this supposed to be? It would look better at a Six Flags or Cedar Fair park The elephants remind us of Robb, but that's nothing new I heard that giraffes reminded Robb of Steve Nuss (aka. MONTUMBA aka IOAddict). They remind me of Casey This was my first time doing the Safari ride I was told that this was a Dan Friendly water ride. Maybe it is, but my video camera died again (the second time it died at AK). Time to get a new camera Such as shown here. Yeti Ball has cloned himself! Respect the Yeti. He has special powers GPS is a tool used for people to track where they found animal poop The line moves fairly quickly, leaving little time to actually look into the details of the queue First ride we hit as EE. Fastpass meant several hours, but the standby line was about 10 minutes and the S&P line even less This was a new bathroom credit for Erik Johnson Disney still has its Christmas decorations up. How's it going Joey? The marathon meant that everyone had to take the parking lot trams to the entrance I remember when some Florida parks only charged $5 for parking This morning, WDW was holding its annual marathon. I don't like to run myself. My bicycle is faster What happened here? I spent the night before helping my brother build his K-Nex coaster. Instead of going by the book, we decided on a Euro-Fighter instead
  18. A white XXL should be okay. I'm no ACEr, but it might shrink a little in the wash
  19. I think I was 3.1415926535897932384626433832795, but I didn't have enough for airfare
  20. I'll probably order another X-Large. I've already got a black one, so I might go for a white one (which would work better in the Florida summer). I might also get some DVD's while I'm at it
  21. I finally got round to posting the rest of Liseberg. There's a few little "surprises" in this one. Comments are appreciated! If anyone is interested, I can post my London pictures too BINGO! I'll finish my DDR Trip Report sometime too "Dump the Ump"? I need a bathroom Pinball machines for Cameron! Up above the streets and houses Rainbow climbing high It looks like a tame ride, but it's not at all Slide from side to side on Rainbow! Yet another Escalator ride Don't you wish you could ride Peter Pan, Joe? The Dreamland looked like a Disney type ride The haunted hotel is a walk-thru attraction, which was fairly well done with live actors More Swedish patriotism Yay for more Gator colored rides! ...which explains why we got stuck on the lift Our boat contained the seal of excellence So we ride again "That's not an acceptable amount of wetness" They were dispatching boats fairly quickly Especially when you stand up to avoid the waterfall The rapids ride wasn't very wet I thought people only flashed on Splash Mountain, but then again, this is Europe But even it wasn't, there's always the Dan Dryer in the bathroom I would consider this a Dan Friendly water ride And this is the part where we have to jump out The flume also follows the terrain well Passing under the Schwarzkopf ride The flume ride Every few seconds, they would dispatch another train The top is a good place to get lots of shots of the LiseJoeBanan At the top is...another Escalator Ride! Liseberg even has an Escalator Ride Another shot of the Banana I can understand them mis-spelling my name in my high school senior year yearbook three times (which was actually coaster themed), but this is unacceptable Sweden's got World Cup Fever too But it looks like the Banana and the Rapids ride are farting rides too (Schwarzkopf rides were sometimes distributed under the Intamin name) Proof that Balder is in fact a Farting Intamin Woodie Don't feed the birds - They're not interested I'll take the Whopper Value Meal with a medium Dryck 4 3 2 Time for lunch. There are four Burger Kings at Liseberg Robb's duct tape comes in handy again, making it easier for everyone to identify their Balder bags Some of the looks of the Swedish kids are priceless Casey fits! Of course, we also had to take over the kiddie coaster too It's a well designed ground-hugging terrain coaster Be sure to buy Robb's DVD to see all of this Going up the lift ...backwards??? The first train is loaded up an ready to go... Such as a complete takeover of the Banana! All good things come to an end, but there's the rest of Liseberg to check out
  22. I found the Wikipedia article!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:WillMcC/Theme_Park_Review_Hoodie (It's in my namespace, so it won't get deleted)
  23. Nice job. I'm kind of losing hope at entering a video for this year's contest. I haven't needed to order a hoodie yet. In Florida the parks are open year round. Now I just need to figure out the magic powers in the Balder Hammer
  24. When riding a looping coaster, you yell "Vertical Loop Goodness!" in the vertical loop You have a genuine fear of John and his Camera of Doom You ride down a hill and think "Jeff Johnson credit" You've pounded Ryan King Your computer wallpaper is a coaster (My desktop Balder, my laptop Goliath and my phone Balder)
  25. So when are they going to hit Coney Beach? Coney Beach had some history too, but it's now just a handful of cheap, poorly maintained rides and death machines
