  1. ^Haha. I noticed that too. It makes me wonder if any part of the train actually touches some snow.
  2. ^That's what I thought. Nonetheless, that set of coasters looks pretty good. Would love to see it get built
  3. That is not the problem (at least it wasn't for me). Many intamins (that use hydraulic restraints) do this while not being uncomfortable during the ride (you might only notice it once it's over but nothing special). It really is the shape and how it holds you. I've heard this numerous times but I honestly don't agree. I'm pretty confident old intamin T bars or B&M's lap bars would be minimally comfortable even with skyrush's negative Gs. I've never heard people complaining about el toro's restraints and it too has some pretty strong air (although I haven't ridden it). It might not be that simple as those restraints are not connected to the back of the seat like OTSR and these new lap bars. Maybe the way they are lowered (and the different positions they can assume) force the design to be different. As I previously said, although I can't see major differences we're not sure how they will ride yet and I'm positive Intamin knows what they are doing and are aware that skyrush's restrains might need a bit of rethinking. All I can say is the ride looks pretty awesome.
  4. ^They only came after skyrush so maybe they hadn't been designed yet but for this ride I don't know. Maybe we should wait for some people to ride to know if they're painful or not.
  5. I rode CĂș Chulainn at tayto park 21 times on my visit in September.
  6. ^Oh, yeah, I forgot coaster express. It really is very weak (in terms of forces). Not one bit of air and the positives,... well .... nothing special. That + the unbearable roughness is what makes it my lest favorite coaster.
  7. I disagree, Posessed is pretty forceful. That being said the most forceful and awesome ride in the park is probably Demon Drop. I actually thought stinger was the most forceful. There are very few coasters that did make me think (during an element): "God this has strong Gs!" and this was one. Talon also has some decent Gs in the helix and turn after corkscrew. But since this is a "forceless" thread, I'd say steel force has (ironically) not a lot of forces although I found it very fun (especially those last hills)
  8. Me too. And it's interesting how the launch dog then stays in place due to magnetic field which needs to be "neutralized" for it to lower into the catch car. Pretty clever stuff.
  9. ^Yeah and it's not like they have the excuse they're a relatively small park as this summer I went to Tayto Park in Ireland (the smallest one I've been on) and they were far more competent.
  10. Wow! Now that's something you don't get to see everyday. Very interesting and great pictures. So cool that the penguins walk so close to you.
  11. I went there a year ago and I actually thought the intamin was down until I entered the station and asked what was going on to which they said: We're just waiting for enough riders to fill a train" They didn't seem very "professional" overall, at least when compared to bigger parks. But I sill had fun, nonetheless.
  12. I actually only thought of coasters initially but now you mention it (and this this example ^) I guess it can happen on these inverting flat rides more often.
  13. Given that it has only happen a few times over the years I'd say it's pretty unlikely anyone here has had that experience, but who knows.
  14. ^I don't know. It does look a bit odd (the way it moves). I wonder if this was after a train went by or due to something like strong winds.
  15. I also love how all the main coasters you see in the picture are either fairly new or have been painted recently. The colors look very vivid.
  16. Just came back. It was great! Certainly lived up to my expectations (even if they were fairly high after the first reactions). It's just a bit frustrating that we'll have to wait for the rest haha
  17. ^ Going to watch it in an hour. Can't wait!
  18. That'll look awesome from the entrance!
  19. ^I'd say they're so bad they're good. Haha it was pretty fun. It's funny many people share this opinion as I do enjoy it. I guess it reminds me of my childhood (some of the better moments).
  20. When I first heard it it seemed pretty cool but yeah, after a while it got really really annoying (especially as every second you spend in TTD'd station is in fear the ride will go down )
  21. You call it 'fun'. I call it pain........a lot of pain. No fun at all[emoji12] That's funny as it was one of the coasters that made me have some of the most fun I've had on a ride. Perhaps it was because I was riding with some friends but the dueling aspect, the pops of air and the laterals made it extremely fun. It wasn't smooth but I'd say most wooden coasters I've been on were rougher (and no, I haven't been purposely selecting the worst ones). This was only based on one ride, though.
  22. ^But I thought these new SLCs weren't rough (with these new trains and hopefully better track work)
  23. I also noticed that it using the same lift support thingy as Levi and fury. Are they? It's not very easy to tell.
