  1. That drop's ... interesting
  2. One time I saw a Arrow corkscrew. My physics book from high school didn't do bad, actually. Translation! ??? Nothing special (it doesn't say which particular coasters those are, I guess they just searched for "roller coaster" and that was it haha). It just generally mentions how even though most coasters don't go that fast what makes them exiting is the G forces and it explains how it works (that, let's say, you're twice as heavy under 2 Gs, the amount of Gs most people can stand and how the forces felt on crashes are way bigger than on a coaster or plane)
  3. or a TV show like insane coaster wars
  4. Office chair: Drop of Doom
  5. Rails
  6. ^Haha true. One time I saw a Arrow corkscrew. My physics book from high school didn't do bad, actually.
  7. Not too sure about the color scheme.... But still looking forward to seeing what it'll look like.
  8. Not if Valravn is filled with sand. Which wouldn't be surprising as gatekeeper sort of is.
  9. ^Me too. It's especially interesting when you have no idea what the ride will be.
  10. ^lol I wonder if each cycle on the shuttle coaster will be only one run as there isn't (or it doesn't look like there will be) a second spike so that the ride can go backwards and forward several times.
  11. Intamin have done stuff like this in the past though I guess, and infact it happened like a week ago with Blue fire havimg that spinning car on it. It wouldn't really matter if it only went 80mph to be honest as it absolutely flys through the layout It hasn't run up to 84 mph for years. Someone reported that the ride is running at around 79 mph nowadays. I'd thought about this before. Because it doesn't need to clear a tall element after the launch (unlike most accelerator coasters) this means it can run quite a bit slower than it was supposed to without stalling or rolling back which is not great as that way it isn't "forced" to run at a certain speed.
  12. Even though it's not my favorite coaster I'll mention this too because if it didn't have that issue it'd be by far my favorite. Dragon Khan: make the MCBR like it used to be until 2014 (with little/no trimming) and then it's perfect.
  13. ^I'm not sure they could just add another car like that as the launch is designed for those trains with that weight.
  14. This picture really shows what an awesome job theme parks do to make you feel seperated from the outside world. You feel like you're in a different world, with no thought to the fact that the "real world" is just behind a wall. Exactly my thoughts. Looks stunning
  15. ^I thought the first row was the smoothest (never got to try it, though) and that even the outside seats weren't bad. I'd be nice to see new trains (ideally with lap bars only) but it sounds a little too good to be true.
  16. That shot's amazing. So twisttyyyy!
  17. ^I had no idea! The thing is as spinning coasters are usually more family orientated it'd be cool to see something bigger (like blue fire )
  18. Great report! Lots of interesting stuff going on. I actually thought the T-rex track would be a little bigger haha. Looking forward to seeing what RMC can do with that.
  19. ^Looks fun. I hope it has that twisty, fast, out of control feeling. Great looking trains too
  20. This made me think of how it'd be to have a looping spinning coaster. I imagine awesome!
  21. Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin
  22. Indeed! Looking really nice. I quite enjoy flying coasters and it's great to see these different layouts.
  23. Great to see some progress. Looking forward to seeing how the structure will look like. As to stampida it is nice to see they are still working on it as long as the retracks don't change the feel of the ride (I remember hearing someone saying that the laterals on the first part had been neutered a bit)
