Seeing it run with the trim off on that POV reminded me of my first ride on it when it was also off providing great air in the last hills (made even better by the restraints) -

I sure hope it's just the camera/angle that is causing that! At that speed, even a slight wobble will be rough as hell. This ride is not shaping up to be good. First the awful break run now this! Also it does not look like there will be a 270 degree twist on the drop. If you see a few lift hill pics you'll notice almost none of them are a completely straight line. I mean, I also thought that this one is pretty noticeable but I honestly don't think it will be a problem. The only detail I found a bit disappointing was that lack of an airtime hill (more than the twist) but I can't really complain given the size of the ride. -

^^Wow... looks impressive. Definitely a nice addition. -
The layout is great, just a little too short for me. What's funny is that I love the last element. It feels (and is) very unique.

Indeed. And this is still very early! Looks like it has great potential -
Skyrush - it's not very long but it has a perfect mix of airtime, twisty bits and banked forceful turns Dragon khan - it's not too different from many B&Ms but it feels very fluid with no "pauses" or less exiting parts (except for the MCBR). The extra loop is a plus too Batman clones - you can't ask for much more in such a compact area. They got it spot on the first time

Well, I don't know anything about restrictions, but it will already be by far the tallest coaster in Europe. Going higher would add more cost, but I don't see it adding much (if any) in terms of attendance. In addition pretty much every country in Europe use meters instead of feet, so the 400 ft limit doesn't mean anything to Europeans. For us the "magical limit" is 100 meters, if the ride is 112 meters or 122 meters will not mean much in terms of marketing. This of course is only speculation from my side... I agree. As much as I'd love to see it go higher than (or as high as) kingda ka it's already pretty far from any other coaster in Europe (in terms of height) and yes, 400 ft doesn't really mean anything. I doubt there will ever be a ride here like fury 325 as it's 99 meters tall (nearly 100) while 325 feet isn't close from any "mark". Also, interesting to see it's using double spine track on the tower. However from the supports I'm starting to think there will be no twist -

I actually had zero problems with the restraints on both storm runner and fahrenheit. I would rather see skyrush's ones being modified 100000000000 times more. Still, seeing that some guests have some issues with them it's only good that they're getting replaced. -

^I think that only takes the record of world's most ridiculous brake run. (which looks taller than dragon fire) -
Eh, don't be so sure about that. At least in the Florida parks' case, a loud coaster might be scary to small children. I have to agree. While enthusiasts may love the raw of a classic B&M like Hulk was or Nemesis, I have seen first hand people look at a ride and say "yeah I will ride that". Then the train makes it way down the first drop, the roar begins and they start to question if they want to ride or don't ride at all. But is it because of the roar or because of the sight of the train racing down the drop? I mean, I guess it can be a bit intimidating but I think looking at the ride in motion is a bigger factor. Honestly I feel like the only rides that should not have a roar are more family orientated rides. I know it could get unbearable if every single big coaster on a park were great bear loud so I'm okay with just one or two rides being louder (which is usually the case). What "worries" me is how newer rides (especially B&Ms) don't seem as loud as the older ones used to be. When was the first B&M with sand built? It looks like now more than half of their new coasters have some.

What live concert do you look forward to this year?
rcjp replied to Snowboard246's topic in Random, Random, Random
I'm really looking forward to AC/DC in May as I've never seen them. I'll also be going to see Muse (for the third time) but they're one of my favorite bands so I'm still pretty exited. P.S I might also watch Bruce Springsteen as long as I have company. -

This is what I was thinking. Maybe they mean the steepest "traditional" style, non-vertical lift hill. (Obviously including cable lifts in this "traditional" category.) But saying "this is the steepest lift that's not 90 degrees" is like saying "this is the world's fastest car that doesn't reach 200 mph" which, in my opinion, is fairly ridiculous. But at least we all seem to agree the ride looks great, nonetheless. The layout looks very promising and with those trains it should be even better! -

^I still would've liked a "normal" airtime hill more. Kingda Ka's might not provide omg ejector air but it's still fun and a nice addition (especially for such short rides) -

Going up pretty fast now! Those are some strange supports. I kind of thought the ferrari logo idea wouldn't actually happen but I suppose this suggests otherwise. -

^I went the year shambhala opened and got to ride both 8 times (and FB 5) due to low crowds and I couldn't get enough of it. It's a shame that now (since 2014) the MCBR brakes a lot harder than before (which was practically nothing). It was still fun after that but not as insane as those two corkscrews were before. -

Having only been on shambhala and nitro I prefer nitro by a small margin. I think the airtime might not last exactly as long as shambhala's but I find it a little stronger plus it has a forceful helix and the ending is much much better. It's close because shambhala's drop is awesome: one of the best I've been on (feels like it never ends). As to DK, well I'm a bit partial as it's my favorite coaster. You might not feel the Gs as much as, lets say, BTR clones but it's very consistent through the layout with a great pacing and the best zero G I've ridden. The extra loop is a nice bonus and it overall feels like a very complete ride (especially for those who like inversions) -
