  1. I don't have an issue if orcas somewhere in the future were to be completely phased out of SeaWorld parks. I enjoy the show, but there are plenty of other awesome things in the sea that SeaWorld can showcase. It will take some adjusting from SeaWorld, but I don't think the survival of SeaWorld depends on orcas. While we aren't excactly there yet, I wouldn't be surprised if that were to be the final outcome. However what I have a HUGE issue with is that a bullshit movie like Blackfish is going to get the credit for it....
  2. Awesome that they're adding a new part to Star Tours. It's easily my favorite simulator ride (and I'm no Star Wars fan), and not knowing which adventure you're going to get is one of the things that makes it so awesome!
  3. ^ Great report! Having only been to MK, it's interesting to read about the differences between the parks. Radiator Springs really is an amazing looking ride/area. I can understand those who wish it was a bit faster, but overall it looks extremely well done! Oh and that Mickey pancake looks delicious, I'm hungry and I want one LOL!
  4. Thanks for the update. Interesting shaping on the 4th inversion.
  5. ^Lol no, at least not that I know of. I have no idea where my brain got that idea from... Been thinking a little about the recent Universal developments, and I'm finding it somewhat hard to be excited about it. I don't think Twister is a big loss in any way, and I'm sure the new ride will be fun, but it's not something that makes me want to go back any more than before. My biggest problem with these simulator rides is that they have a very low re-ride factor. They can be great the first time when you don't know what is going to happen, but it's rare that I come off a ride wanting to ride again immediately.
  6. I had forgotten about this ride. Looks quite good, I like the shiny look!
  7. I didn't ride Rockit on my visit this spring, but I rode it last year and thought it was alright. Not overly comfortable, but I didn't have any issues with roughness. The reviews for this ride are so mixed, so it does indeed seem likely that train rehab really has a big impact on the ride experience. On a side note, I dreamed I was riding a glass-smooth Hulk last night. With the refurb the ride is now getting, this was well on the way to become the most realistic dream I've ever head. But when I went for a re-ride my brain decided to mess it all up by adding a meet-n-greet with Snow White in the queue line.
  8. 1 - No 6 - Not important, the one I have now I will probably have for a few more years before I replace it. 7 - When it becomes time for to get a new TV I will probably go for 4K yes. 3D I have no interest in.
  9. Wait, you're just gonna wait and see? I thought coaster enthusiasts were supposed to have a strong opinion on what a ride is going to be like long before opening... But yeah, I do understand your concern considering how not all refurbs have been successful. I guess in the end we'll just have to wait and see...
  10. I haven't been to DLP yet, and based on the reviews it's been getting I don't really feel a strong desire to visit either. Maybe in a couple of years though, when they have finished the massive refurb project they now are doing,
  11. That turn is like a rollercoaster version of a Waltzer/Tilt-A-Whirl ride. Looks great, looking forward to see more as the ride is going up.
  12. That drop definitely looks more intriguing than the long swooping drop found on most B&M flyers. Getting really interesting to follow the construction now that more and more of the layout is getting revealed.
  13. Wood: Gwazi and the two RCCA woodies in Spain. Steel: Cobra @ Tivoli Friheden in Denmark
  14. Great start to the trip report Tom! Had a couple of good laughs at some of your comments. Really looking forward to see more! And yeah, shame Disneyland doesn't offer the possibility of getting stuck on the Peoplemover! Stuck on Peoplemover, exclusively at Magic Kingdom!
  15. I definitely agree about Big Thunder Mountain. Yes, I love the ride, but the ending is very anticlimatic.
  16. Great to hear that Halloween has been a great success for Liseberg. Oh, and Mechanica looks awesome with flamethrowers!
  17. Wild Arctic @ SeaWorld Orlando. Never in my life have I wanted a simulator ride to end faster....
  18. Nothing planned. I think the only thing I can say for sure is that a trip to Sweden to check out Wildfire is an absolute must-do....
  19. Well, I got Liseberg right. Going back to Orlando became too tempting when I discovered the cheap price of flight tickets. But I still have to go back again to check out the Frozen ride after it opens... The Dutch/German parks are still on the "to do-list"...
  20. Justin Bieber is in Norway, and apparently that needs to be the top headline on every newspaper....
  21. Great pictures! With all the focus on the Hulk refurb, I had completely forgotten about the King Kong ride. The Twister ride I don't consider not a big loss, although doing the control room was quite fun. As for it's replacement I'll withold my judgement until we know some more details. Will be interesting to see if it will be "just another simulator" or if it will provide a more unique experience...
  22. I'd definitely give it a ride. Riding it again after? Depending on how much pain I would have been in....
  23. I enjoy getting them. I already spend plenty of time on the forums, but it's nice to get a little reminder of what I might have missed.
  24. Will this be the ride theme song??
