  1. Great pictures from both of you! Looks like they put a lot of effort into this event. It's this level of dedication which shows why Liseberg really is one of my favorite parks!
  2. Thanks for sharing, looks great! I love the tea cup dome!
  3. It sure is strange seeing Hulk like that, normally when we see steel coasters like this they're either being built or being taken apart for relocation. Really excited to see the final result and how mcuh of an improvement it will be.
  4. Have we ever seen a year with this many exciting coaster projects ongoing? We got 4 RMC's being built, we got Taron, we got Flying Aces, and in the "not quite as exciting but still looks very good" category we got rides like Mako, Flying Dinosaur, Cobra's Course, Total Mayhem and probably some more that I have forgotten.... 2016 is going to be a very good year! Edit: You know it's going to be a good year when there are so many exciting projects that you completely forgot that one park is building the worlds tallest dive machine!
  5. That hill is definitely going to produce some glorious airtime. Looks fantastic, wish I could ride! With this and Lightning Run, it looks like Kentucky Kingdom will have some of the best airtime in the industry.
  6. Do they still do that stupid at Six Flags parks? To me it seems like something that could possible work against it's intention, as it would be extremely easy for the operators to focus more on the actual movement than actually looking...
  7. Nah, I'm sure it was the same height, but then Intamin read these forums, realized they had made a mistake and raised the top of the lift.
  8. Great to see The Scenic Railway operating again after all the struggles they've had throughout the years.
  9. Almost everyone in Scandinavia speaks English, so language should not be an issue.
  10. Well, Sweden is very similar to Norway in many areas, and I've been to Sweden quite a few times, so I can atleast help you with some of your questions: - Southern Sweden is not mountain area at all, so fuel stations should not be any problem. It's probably wise to start thinking about refueling some time before the warning light comes on though, but that goes no matter where you are. - Liseberg is located centrally in Gothenburg, and Kolmården is close to Norrköping. I would take some time and research what these cities have to offer, and what might suit your interests. - I would reccomend getting SEK if you're planning to pay cash, as from what a quick google search could tell me, the acceptance of paying with Euro cash is somewhat limited to urban/tourist-heavy areas. Credit/debit cards are accepted most places. - Food should not be an issue. If you're in a city you will find all sorts of food, ranging from Chinese restaurants to McDonalds. Stockholm is only 162 km from Norrköping (according to Google maps), have you thought about adding Gröna Lund to your trip??
  11. Great trip report! Having been to Sea World Orlando twice, it's interesting to get a good look at what the other parks in the chain looks like. I really like Manta at SWO, but the west coast Manta looks like a great little ride. Bloody hell that ride was awful! It was soooooo dizzying, I have never wished more for a simulator ride to end quickly...
  12. Because Intamins are very dangerous Yeah, theres no point in evening opening this ride, we can already conclude that cars will derails, riders will be ejected and cables will definitely snap...
  13. Well, with no local parks pretty much all year is off-season for me, with a couple of exceptions throughout the year when I'm travelling. So it's not that much different really, except it getting colder and a hell of a lot darker. I do watch a lot of football (or soccer if you prefer to call it that) through the entire year, and with the Norwegian football season coming to an end in a few weeks, it's good to have a lot of other European football on TV to keep me entertained. Add some beer to that and I'm a happy boy. I'll probably also spend the usual amount of time here on TPR!
  14. It's definitely of larger scale, but I would say Lisebergbanen. It has a 130 cm (51,2") height limit, but kids over 110 cm (43,3") can ride if accompanied by an adult. It's a fantastic ride, it's very fast, smooth and has some good forces, but it's not so intense that it cannot be enjoyed by the whole family.
  15. That looks kinda cute.... and awesome! It may not be as spectacular as Wildfire or Lightning Rod, but it's still going to provide a kick-ass ride!
  16. This ride looks absolute bonkers!!!
  17. Nice weather here, but it's getting colder. Low 50's during the day, dropping down towards 40 at night. Not particularly happy about the predictions for the winter though, they're forecasting an abnormally cold winter in Northern Europe. http://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/2015-2016-europe-winter-forecast-seasonable-london-paris-storms-france-italy-alps/52871620
  18. I would be extremely grateful to have almost any coaster near where I live (closest one is a Reverchon spinner and a Vekoma family coaster about 5 hours south), but I don't think I would ever be able to feel any sort of excitement for a Pinfari looper. But hopefully for you this can help the park develop into something better in the future.
  19. Great trip report, Fantasy Island looks like a good place to spend a day! I got a pretty good laugh out of your Dragon Mountain Descent POV, it looks so nice and innocent until those final turns where it suddenly seems to go into insane-mode! Thanks for sharing!
  20. That was an awesome trip report with some great pictures! Seems like Six Flags Mexico has a really great coaster combo with Steel Medusa and Superman.
  21. Comments like this makes me so excited to try this next year! When watching some of these animations I have sometimes been thinking "Sure this looks awesome, but I wish they could have added some 'normal' airtime hills along the way". From the reviews I've been reading of some of the RMC coasters, itseems like you need to ride them to fully understand how awesome they are. Cant wait for next year!!!
  22. The lift may take a little longer. On the other hand elevator lifts have been done before. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. The rest of the track should go up fairly quick. It's funny, on almost every coaster being built recently I'm seeing comments like "They're wasting no time on this" and "Wow this thing is flying up". When will people start saying "this is going up at the exact speed I'm expecting a rollercoaster to be built these days"??
  23. Yeah those colors looks fantastic, love it!!
