It's too bad Universal doesn't move Dragons to another area of the park. I know, easier said than done, just wishful thinking. While I liked the Potter rides, I didn't find them to be something I would reride much at all in a one or two day visit. Same goes for screen based rides. They tend to get stale fast. If I'm only going for a day, or the 2 park hopper to ride Hogs Express, I find it a little hard to justify the cost very often.

^ It was kind of amusing ,well actually sad, reading the post from the woman who has the 240 lb 14 year old kid who can't ride and blames the park. There's a lot of that type stuff. Oh well, it is where it is. That said, it does look like a cute little park, not worth a special trip to go to, but still, a nice FEC type place if one is nearby.

Some of CF's names can be a bit of a stretch, but, if someone is talking about Valravn, I know exactly where and what coaster they are talking about . Opposed to, I rode Superman and last weekend. Credit for at least trying to give a unique name to a ride.

^ I still find the 2 across seating to be far scarier than the larger models. The 2 across models give you a much more hanging out in the open feeling. So yeah, a few cocktails would be needed for this one. ( and I always scream like a little kid on the 2 across ones)

^^ yea, It would be sad to lose Dragons. Shorter Invert, But man are they good. I have always gotten off of Ice with my head still spinning.

^ Lucky you. Last time I was at Boblo, Screamer was the new hotness. Nightmare and Mayan were probably a lot of fun in the dark. Funny, how when an indoor coaster is "exposed" it doesn't seem as intense. Glad to see it has survived though. And "Nathan", I am loving your TR on these off the beaten path parks.

Just curious, has anyone heard if the Sandblaster Coaster has re-opened yet ? I've tried searching and can't seem to find any more info. Looking to do a mini trip there and both Fun Spots for a weekend.

^ proper footware etc on rides for safety and all is great and makes sense. But those poor kids that will never get to go to a pool or the beach because they might be traumatized ? That might be over-reacting a bit.

If breakdowns decided if a ride stays, there would be no Wind Seekers at any Cedar Fair park. Evac platform, oh he77 no!

I asked the zoo on their facebook page, and got a response back from them today about the flume. They said the flume is currently not in operation, but new splashes are on the horizon soon. Whatever that might mean.

The only ride there, and a bad one to miss, was the Rock-O-Plane in my book. Sketchy and fun. I never pass one up. They are getting rare.

That's what I was kind of afraid of. I haven't seen anything about it recently and even the park hasn't said if it is a goner or just under "maintenance". Odd. It was such a good ride and was there , what, less than 10 years?

^ Agreed. Combined with the surprising airtime and that waaayy unexpected drenching, makes it one of my favorite Flume Rides. Count me in the Log Flume Fan Camp. Flumes are must do's at any park.

Great news. Hopefully the little coaster gets up and running soon. If it does, I need to make a quick trip over there to check it out. Hope we hear more updates as to when the coaster may reopen.

Okay, bear with me a bit. it's a long story. I was looking for old images today of Fly o Plane ,that was at Geuaga Lake years ago. Someone here posted a TR on Lake Winnie, which has the only, as far as I know, Fly o Plane left. ( might have even come from Geauga, not sure) Any who, I found a cool old postcard of it and put it on my PC as my screen saver. It was one of my Uncles' favorite , " I'll torture you by flying upside down the whole time" rides. Anywhos, about an hour later, I get a call that my uncle, who was in his 90's had just passed. That kinda creeped me out. So, what does that have to do with Cedar Point ? Well he lived at a place near Huron, on the beach that faced Cedar Point. Good Golly the views were fantastic. 2 years ago we went to CP, and he said he wouldn't go back again because he would never stand in those kind of lines again. So, can Cp or really, any other park for that matter, just give fast passes, or hell, even free passes, to our old timers , who love the parks, even drink lots of beer while there ( yeah he did) a little break ? Sorry for the story, but it's the passing of a family member of mine that was a park nut, that makes me a bit sad. good time stories, aah .

my oldest coaster would have to be the Racing Derby , 1913 at Euclid Beach, closely followed by Giant Coaster, 1916 at Crystal Beach. ( the only side friction coaster I've been on) Sadly all defunct. So I guess that makes Wild One at SFA my oldest still operating. obviously not my pic. but wow, what a park it was,

Love the TR of lake Winnie. Never been there, but it's on my list as a stop on my travels up to ohio. Just curious, are the Fly O Planes back up and running ? They were a fave of mine as a kid at geauga lake, way back when, and I think they are the last ones left in existence.

^ Busch Gardens Tampa brought those machines back. They have several scattered around the park. Ah that wonderful aroma. /s
